This fast-paced and action-packed suspense thriller introduces us to Special Forces Sergeant John Bishop, decorated war hero, and nephew of crime boss, Gonzalo Valdez. After returning home from Afghanistan John’s hopes for a peaceful future are quickly shattered when he is catapulted back into the global war on terror through a succession of life-threatening events and corrupt intrigue. He … a succession of life-threatening events and corrupt intrigue. He battles against terrorist operatives in New York, a powerful Afghan warlord, and a psychopathic billionaire with powerful White House connections. When John’s uncle gets involved, he proceeds to treat John’s enemies to a bitter taste of mob vengeance. From that point on the ride speeds up and the reader will have to hold on for dear life. This is a thriller not to be matched for intensity and breathless excitement—not for the faint-hearted.

Great book
Hard to put down. The action continues throughout the book. Great read. I will continue reading the series.
Great read, hate to put it down.
Hats off gentlemen, we have a friend in the pantheon of thriller/mystery. More power to you buddy. Write on!
Great intro to a new patriot.
Another book that keeps you reading.
Bottom line… left me wanting to read the next book in the series. Interesting characters and plot.
Loved this book. Read all night to the end. Could not put it down.
Well developed and thought out. Might rather have my head in the sand than know how punishments are dealt out. Did not stop me frim reading it all nor will it stop me from treading the next one.
Not the best flow–too predictable. Also, five important plot elements were not concluded; they were left for future books by the author–much like TV series with a cliff-hanger hoping you will return next season to discover the who, what, when and where of the previous season. When I read a book, I want a resolution without having to wait for the next installment!
Great action-packed thriller but the author spends too much time setting up situations and characters for future books.
I had to give this islamophobic drivel one star in order to enter my review. Don’t waste your time.

Fantastic book
Good guys win and that’s always best, but Bishop is just too good to be believed.
Excellent read fast paced but The dialogue and narrative are occasionally long winded and tongue in cheek, still an excellent read though.
