I’m so excited that there is a new Katie Reus series. This book did not disappoint. I loved it! I devoured it! I want more!
Evie was awesome. I love a heroine who can hold her own. She’s ex-CIA and forced to investigate as a civilian with a former CIA agent she has worked with in the past. Two women who know how to kick butt and take names.
Dylan is my kryptonite hero. He’s former military, now a millionaire real estate mogul. He’s the strong, silent and very, capable hero. He also has no idea that Evie was in the CIA. He gets a new look at Evie when she shows up at his door needing his help.
I was nervous when I read the blurb. I hate that Evie walked away from him but the author did such a good job of bringing them back together. I loved how they both handled things and I wish more second chance was done this way.
I adored Dylan and Evie’s story and I can not wait to see what’s next!
Great seriess
Love Katie Reus!
I was sorry to see this book end.
Awesome story line!!
They had a history, but Evie needed his help. She needed to get it straightened out but after she figured who shot her friend.
Great read.
Eve Bishop turned down the proposal of Dylan Blackwood months ago. She is now running from someone or someone’s who is trying to put an end to her. She turns to the one person who she knows she can trust Dylan. Her problem is she does not know if he will take her in with her friend that is shot, or if he will take in her at all. He is a billionaire and her walking away without a word. What will he think when she tells him she works for the CIA and she was initially to use him as someone to get close to another person because of his connections. Little did she know that their families had been together when they were younger and that he would remember her from when she was a teen? Now seeing her and letting her back into his home he does not want to let her go and does all he can to help her. He even hides her and looks to help find the person or persons after them. He does not like it when she comes clean about everything but he knows he still loves her. Does she love him? Read this fast-paced full of action story to find out. A very good book. I received this book from Netgalley.com I GAVE IT 5 STARS Follow us at http://www.1rad-readerreviews.com (less)
More 2.5 stars. Well-written with believable interesting characters. But the plot started in the middle of the heroine’s family tragedy – one brother an accused murderer and another brother in the hospital the victim of a bomb. Those issues will no doubt be resolved in future books, but it was off putting. Plus, by the end I was fed up with reading again and again that the hero would turn away from the heroine once he learned the truth. Not a series I intend to pursue.
Loved the series. I read the first one couldn’t stop until I finished the last one. All three books are wonderful.
A romantic spy novel, Bishop’s Knight, offers a look into what spy Evie had to give up to become an operative for the CIA. She and Dylan had all the spark needed to begin a new life together. But Evie is a crusader at heart and goes on one more mission. Only when she lands on Dylan’s doorstep six months later after her teammate is wounded do the pair reunite. Bumpy beginning kind of throws you off but a smooth delivery throughout keeps you on your toes.
Kept my interest.
I’ve long been a fan of Katie Reus, and once again she DOESN’T disappoint with the first book in her latest trilogy! Jam packed with action, treason, spy work, hormones, and inter agency back and forth. At the center is Evie Bishop… A strong female who loves her friends and family fiercely. Sent back to her hometown of Miami for a tough gig. This time although undercover, she has to play herself. We pick up some time later with the fallout from that gig, and what’s going on in her life now. One brother in a medically induced coma, and one on the run after being charged with killing his DEA partner. One thing wrong with this scenario…Evie and EVERYONE else know with certainty he’s being set up. With all this personal strife whirling around her, when her close friend turns up with a fresh gunshot wound and she thinks it’s because off their last op? Suffice to say when it rains it pours, and Evie is determined to figure who is our for her team, and in other matters who is after her family! Add one hot, hunky, wealthy man that’s also her ex and love of her life. #complicated . I’m glad I waited to read this until book two came out because now I can immediately go read the follow up! If you enjoy action, suspense, intrigue and lots of excitement along the way then this is the read for you!
When a former colleague shows up at ex-CIA agent Evie Bishop’s door with a gunshot wound and news that someone is after everyone who worked on a past op, Evie knows there’s only one person who can help her— her ex Dylan Blackwood. Unfortunately, Dylan hasn’t forgotten what happened a year ago, when he proposed and Evie rejected him and walked out of his life.
This story is full of action, suspense, romance, and intrigue. The story doesn’t feel rushed and although it ends with an HEA for Evie and Dylan, it left me wanting to know more about Evie’s brothers. Bishop’s Knight is well-written, I just think I prefer narrations done in the first person.
Jeffrey Kafer and Heather Costa did a good job at narrating this audiobook. They were emotive and a joy to listen to.
Bishop’s Knight is a romance written in the third person narrative and recorded in dual narration. It involves violent scenes. The story ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
It is so good to read a new Katie Reus series . it is hot full of suspense Kickass women, the Characters are great, there are twists and turns , the attraction between Dylan and Evie is off the charts when they reconnect. They have a history which you will read about. Wow, I can not wait for the next book I highly recommend this book.
A new series by Katie Reus! This is the first book about the Bishop family, It starts with Evie Bishop who was a CIA operative. when she finds her life in chaos and people she knows and cares about are getting shot, killed and framed she turns to her ex boyfriend the one man that she loves left, to help her protect them. Dylan doesn’t know if he can ever trust her again with his heart but will do what he can to help her find out if the problems are from a past operation or something more. Great story line with plenty of suspense and action with romance in the mix to make a well rounded book. So looking forward to reading the next in the series but hate that I have to wait!!
Katie Reus @shahlasworld
Love it! This is a fantastic start to a new series! Dylan and Evie are amazing and adorable. I could not put this book down. It was an amazing story full of twists, turns, passion and intrigue. I love the Bishop family and can’t wait for the next book.
3.5stars
This is an intense second chance romance love story. After her friend is shot the only person Evie can turn on is her former lover Dylan. Evie’s life is in a complete mess so seeing Dylan is hard for her especially because she was undercover and really fell in love with him. She is scared to tell him the truth because she knows that it will not end well. Dylan is happy to see Evi again and is starting to see a whole new side of her. Will he forgive her when he finds the truth? A quick spy love story that keeps you on your toes with a little bit of family drama and a second chance for love.
I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for NetGalley
In “Bishop’s Knight, the 1st book in ‘The Endgame trilogy’, Evie Bishop and Dylan Blackwood burn up the pages as Evie’s past in black ops comes back with a vengeance. Someone is targeting Evie, and others from one of their black ops. Even her brothers, with their past in government operations haven’t escaped being targeted. Sexy billionaire Dylan Blackwood has a broken past with Evie when she walked away from his proposal, but with his own military past and love for Evie, he cannot stand by and do nothing. A real page turner with action, suspense, and romance, it is one not to be missed for lovers of the genre and Katie Reus books. Looking forward to reading the next in the series, I would like to thank NetGalley & KR Press LLC for gifting me “Bishop’s Knight”. My opinion is my own and freely given. 5 Stars!
Wow! I loved this freaking book. We have another great series filled with action, suspense, hot sex, betrayal, a fierce heroine and a sexy ex-marine! Yessssssss!!!! Evie Bishop is a CIA operative who fell in love with her asset, ex-Marine turned Real Estate billionaire Dylan Blackwood. We meet Evie and her crew on a previous undercover operation and find out through a few flashbacks how she got with Dylan and broke his heart. I liked this one more than I thought I would. Most times it’s the hero who does the lying and betraying but this time it was all Evie and I felt her pain. We also meet two other Bishop’s, Evan, who has been through a traumatic event and Ellis who is on the run. I won’t spill anymore beans about them, but I am definitely looking forward to their stories. I enjoyed this one immensely. In the end after some groveling from Evie, Dylan forgives her and they get their HEA.
