Bishop’s Knight is a steamy and thrilling romantic suspense read. The 1st book in the new Endgame Trilogy is a fantastic right start to this Trilogy. Katie Reus starts off her new Endgame Trilogy centered around the 3 Bishop siblings with Evie Bishop’s story.
Katie Reus did not disappoint with her new series. It has dramatic action, exciting thrills, steamy romance, and rollercoaster ride of emotions.
Bishop’s Knight is the start of the trilogy for the siblings and it’s here you get to watch Evie and Dylan get their second chance at love. Oh what a love story it is. Loved every moment of it. Now I can’t wait for book 2 in this great book trilogy to come out- that is next book Bishop’s Queen Evan Bishop and Isla MacDonald story.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
Evie Bishop was hoping for some quiet time at home after leaving her high stress, high danger job behind her. But when she returns she finds one brother in a coma and the other on the run, wanted for murder. When danger shows up on her doorstep, she is forced to turn to the only man she can trust.
Dylan Blackwood knows Evie was more than the socialite she wanted everyone to believe when they dated. But when she turned down his proposal, she shattered his heart. Now that she’s on his doorstep asking for help, he can’t forget the pain she caused even as he struggles with the need to protect her.
Dylan’s resources make him both a formidable ally and foe. He may not have the same training or authorization as Evie, but he is also trained to be tactical and lethal. He is a very rounded character, with many strengths and few weaknesses. He may not know everything that is going on, but he will do everything in his power to keep Evie safe, whether she likes his methods or not.
I loved the tension as Dylan and Evie worked together, determining how much to trust and let in the other this time around. Evie knows the whole story about why she walked away from his proposal, but Dylan is in the dark and as such was blindsided by her refusal. Evie’s secrets mean Dylan thinks she needs more protection than she really does, and causes some power struggles as he tries to make decisions without considering what she would want. His motive is always her safety.
The entire Bishop family has trouble brewing, and though this is a standalone the brothers are introduced and teased as part of Evie’s book. Though Evie and Dylan’s story is complete, there is enough teased that I am looking forward to seeing what happens for Evie’s brothers as the series continues with Bishop’s Queen and Bishop’s Endgame.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Bishop’s Knight was great from beginning to end! I loved Dylan. He was the best! I look forward to the next book of the Endgame Trilogy!
I voluntarily read and reviewed a complimentary Advance Reader Copy.
Absolutely fantastic first in a new series by this author.
Evie is one tough woman until him…
The one whose heart she ripped out…
The one who she used? or did she?
On top of her own issues she has one brother wanted for murder, and another in the hospital how can a woman think about someone else?
Well, this woman does…
So what does one do when you’re in trouble and, you are likely being tailed?
Oh yeah, show up at said ones home…
Amazing story and the action flows, and I loved the chemistry between Evie and Dylan,
I also love the mentioning of characters from previous series.
Katie Reus has outdone herself with Bishop’s Knight! A captivating romantic suspens that keeps you intrigued. I could not put it down. This is definitely a one click book.
This is book 1 in the Endgame Trilogy. I was so heartbroken when the Redemption Harbor series ended but Katie Reus doesn’t disappoint with this brand new series! In this one we are introduced to Evie Bishop and Dylan Blackwood. Evie and Dylan were together until Dylan proposed to her. But when she needs help, she knows that he will help no matter what happened in their past. Evie must find out who is after not only her teammates but herself, all while trying to keep Dylan at a distance so he doesn’t find out her secrets. She doesn’t realize exactly how stubborn and determined Dylan truly is. Or what he will do for those people that he cares about.
I absolutely loved this first book! Evie is such a kick butt woman and I loved everything about her! From her love of her family to what she feels she owes to people that need it. I loved every aspect of her! Dylan is exactly the type of man I love! Alpha, protective, but not afraid to show someone he loves them or that he has been hurt. Then you throw in the side characters and I loved it even more! And I know it’s only supposed to be a trilogy but I really would love to have stories about her teammates and some of their friends!! Loved it and I can’t wait for the next book!!
Katie Reus knows how to write romantic suspense! She nails it every.single.time and Bishop’s Knight is no exception. This is a terrific start to the Endgame Trilogy and judging by the flow of the writing, the development of the characters and the depth of the plot, this is going to be an incredible series. I loved Evie — another strong, independent, smart woman that makes me proud to be a female. But I have to say that I adored Dylan from the moment he stepped off the page – swoony, sexy, passionate and protective. I also enjoyed the sub-plot of getting to know Evie’s brother, Evan, and his fiance, Isla — I know I’m going to love their story in the next book. If you’re looking for romantic suspense, I highly recommend Katie Reus — you can’t go wrong. Excellent 5+ star read. I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
4 1/2 stars. This is an awesome new romantic suspense from Katie Reus! Once I started reading I couldn’t put it down until I was finished. What a great start to a new series with this fantastic story that grabbed me from the get-go and held on throughout!! I can’t wait for more!! The characters are wonderful and the chemistry between Evie & Dylan is amazing. They have a second chance for an HEA and they go for it! I really enjoyed this book!
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC!
This is the start of a whole new series from the very talented Katie Reus I have read most of her series and she is definitely a favourite author for me and this looks like it is going to be another corker of a series.
Evie is CIA and six months earlier she used she used Dylan Blackwood to get in contact with her target what she didn’t expect was to fall in love with him in the process When he asked her to marry him her guilt overtook her and she walked away from the only man she had ever loved. Now they are back together as she has had to go to him for help when a target is placed on her back Can this alpha ex military male be the one to save her now she is no longer CIA and will he forgive her for using him. You will have to read to see Now I am hanging out for the other two Bishop siblings books the two brother of Evie, Evan and Ellis.
BISHOP’S KNIGHT (Endgame Trilogy Book 1) By Katie Reus
This is a new series by Katie Reus, and it is certainly off to a great start! It is a romantic suspense thriller at its best. Evie Bishop is a kick A$$ heroine who is former CIA and Dylan Blackwood is a former military soldier who made his fortune in real estate. Evie had left the black ops life after an op that introduced her to the man of her dreams but through lies and deception. Returning home to find her brothers lives in shambles, one in the hospital in a coma, the other in hiding after being set up for a murder he did not commit. When Samara (a former colleague) arrives gunshot, Evie goes the one place she knows she can get help…Dylan’s. Can they overcome their past? Read and see! Katie always brings a great read. I am looking forward to Ellis and Evan’s stories. This is a 5 star story.
The Endgame has started
So first up I’d like to just thank Netgalley, the publisher and Katie for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest review. Second I’d like to say OMG, this book sucked me in faster than the sound barrier breaking I was honestly going to try and read it over a few days but the pages flew by and the words simply flew off the pages to the point I sat down and I said to my husband….I’m finished reading Katie’s new book, now what?
This book was absolutely fantastic and I loved everything about it. Evie works undercover for one of the alphabet government groups and when an op brings her closer to her home base where her family is, it goes pear shaped after a few months. When a friend turns up out of the blue, with a bullet wound, Evie goes to the one person she knows she can trust, even though she shouldn’t.
Dylan is surprised when the woman he loves shows up unexpectedly asking for help, when he hasn’t seen her in more than six months, with an injured friend. He’s always suspected there was more to her…but now he’s sure. As they both fight to figure out who’s after her friend, her and Dylan fight the chemistry and attraction to each other until it all goes BOOM
A not to be missed series and I can’t wait for the next two instalments
