Read the final book in the Endgame trilogy where blood is thick, but passion is thicker… dirty empire. What he didn’t count on was falling for his mortal enemy’s daughter.
He wasn’t supposed to fall for her.
Arianna hates the man who kidnapped her, but soon she realizes that things aren’t what they seem. Ellis was framed by her stepfather and is trying to clear his name. If she helps him, it means betraying her family. But how can she turn her back on him when he’s innocent… when her stepfather turns out to be a monster she never really knew at all?
Author note: This book can be read as a stand-alone, complete with HEA.

Bishop’s Endgame by Katie Reus is book 3 in the Endgame Trilogy. This is Ellis Bishop’s story. We finally get his story on why Ellis, who was a DEA agent, went on the run after his partner was murdered and he was framed for the murder. He has been trying to clear his name now for months and trying to take down the enemy so he can move on with his life. His newest plan is to kidnap the stepdaughter of the crime boss that is responsible for this whole mess , but he didn’t know what exactly he was getting into.
Arianna is the woman that he kidnapped. Her stepfather is the man who killed Ellis’s partner and is framing him. Only thing is, Arianna has no clue about her stepfather and his drug dealing, murdering and other hidden secrets. There was alot happening – this is an enemies to lovers romance read that is undeniably a beautiful read, full of action, drama, angst, twists, secrets, romance, passion, excitement, suspense, intrigue, raw, rollercoaster ride of emotions that will have you craving more. It is amazing!! Ms. Reus has written an fantastic trilogy and I can’t wait for her next book.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
Everything in this series has been building up to this book. Boy is it explosive. Bishop’s Endgame is a romance that is truly thrilling. Sometimes the wrong thing done for the right reason will work out for the best. It is touch and go as to whether the good will win out making it a nail biting read.
Ellis has only snippets in the other books in the series. Just enough not to give anything away but to make you hungry for more about him. No chance of his name being cleared without taking drastic measures. Unknowingly Arianna is at the center of these measures. A close proximity kind of romance with two strong characters who are misread by others while they have also been guilty of misjudging others.
A hot romance with dangerous action packed scenes. Characters who are flawed but understandable in a world of crime that is very real but foreign to us. Then the monsters who rule that world, that we can’t wait to see destroyed. This is one for the books, a sure fire hit for romantic suspense readers.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
4.25 stars—BISHOP’S ENDGAME is the third and final instalment in Katie Reus’ contemporary, adult ENDGAME erotic, romantic suspense trilogy focusing on the Bishop siblings. This is former DEA agent Ellis Bishop, and grade school teacher Arianna Stavish’ story line. BISHOP’S ENDGAME can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Ellis and Arianna) BISHOP’S ENDGAME follows the struggle to uncover the truth. Several months earlier DEA Agent Ellis Bishop witnessed the murder of his partner Carter, but reporting the crime found Ellis on the run for the murder he did not commit. Accused in his partner’s murder, Ellis is forced to go into hiding in an effort to stay one step ahead of those pushing to take him down. Fast forward to present day wherein Ellis will kidnap Arianna Stavish, the step- daughter of the man who killed his partner, believing Arianna is as dirty as the man in question. What ensues is the building relationship between Arianna and Ellis, as our couple search for the evidence to prove Ellis is innocent of his partner’s death.
Ellis Bishop can no longer trust the people in charge having witnessed first hand the who and how of his partner’s murder. With several members of his department on the take, Ellis turns his attention to Arianna Stavish, with woman with whom Ellis will fall in love. Arianna Stavish is completely unaware of her step-father’s illegal activities, activities that point directly at our story line heroine. Caught between her step-father and her would-be captor, Arianna agrees to help take down everyone involved.
The relationship between Arianna and Ellis begins acrimoniously as Ellis kidnaps our heroine to get to the truth. Believing Arianna is as dirty as her step-father, Ellis is hoping to gather the information needed to take down everyone involved including Arianna Stavish. In hiding, and on the run, Ellis and Arianna will bond and their relationship will grow, as our couple uncover the truth. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
The secondary and supporting characters include Ellis’ siblings Evan and Evie; Arianna’s step-father Vitaly; Ellis’ mentor and boss Kyle Bird, as well as several law enforcement. The requisite evil has many faces.
BISHOP’S ENDGAME is a story of family and betrayal; of vengeance, murder and innocence; of acceptance, love and moving forward. The premise is engaging and captivating; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are energetic, colorful and strong. BISHOP’S ENDGAME is an exciting and thrilling conclusion to Katie Reus’ Endgame trilogy.
Bishop’s Endgame is my favorite book in the trilogy! The storyline was great and I loved Ellis & Arianna as a couple. Their story was the perfect ending to the Endgame Trilogy.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from NetGalley.
Bishop’s Endgame was an amazing book. It was a fast-paced suspenseful read with great characters. Ellis and Evie were a wonderful couple with great chemistry. I also loved catching up with some of the characters from Red Stone Security. I would love to read more books in the Red Stone Security Series or any other books that this talented author writes.
Wow-what a fantastic finale!
First I loved seeing characters from other series love it !!!

I highly recommend taking the time to read .
f you’ve read the previous books in the series (Bishop’s Knight Book #1 and Bishop’s Queen #2) Ellis is mentioned and you might remember that Ellis is on a quest to clear his name after he’s been framed for murdering his partner/best friend.
Until this book, Ellis was an elusive enigma. He’d pretty much cut ties with his family because he didn’t want to endanger them and he was dealing with some very bad dudes. Being a DEA agent, he was being pursued by the feds and was on the run. He’s getting desperate and when he discovers millions of dollars in bank accounts in the Cayman Islands in Vitaly’s (the mob boss) stepdaughter’s name, he kidnaps her. But things aren’t always what they seem and his conscience and the way he treated Arianna revealed what a great guy he was. I absolutely loved him.
Arianna was probably one of the most real characters I’ve read in awhile. She’s a third grade teacher who is a recovering alcoholic. I’ve read a lot of books in my life and had yet to encounter a heroine with an alcohol problem until this one. Heroes. yes. Absolutely. I’ve seen that numerous times, but never a heroine. I’ve read where they’ve drunk too much and have passed out or made bad decisions, but never an admitted alcoholic who regularly attends AA meetings and has a sponsor. And she owns it. She doesn’t hide it, but doesn’t use it as something to fall back on, either. She’s strong, snarky at times, smart, and her persona flies off the pages. I liked everything about her.
There are a lot of feels and tension between Ellis and Arianna and despite the danger of their situation, I felt them falling in love. The love scenes were sizzling and the end was beautiful. I waited for awhile for this book and was not disappointed. It was a great book and a fantastic end to the series.
This is the third book and conclusion of The Endgame Trilogy, but can be read as a stand-alone novel.
*I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
OMG, this is the book you want to make everyone you know read. It was so good. Katie Reus has achieved master statuse for Bishops Endgame. A action packed book you are bound to love. It is truly a must read for all book lovers.
This is book 3 in the Endgame Trilogy and you absolutely have to read the previous books before reading this one as those talk about events that lead to this one. That being said, we finally get Ellis Bishop’s story! Ellis is taking the law into his own hands in order to clear his name and bring justice to the ones who deserve it. And this leads him to kidnap Arianna, thinking that she is just as dirty as her stepfather. Arianna hates her kidnapper but soon realizes that not everything is as it seems. But in order to do what is right, she will have to turn her back on the family she has.
I absolutely loved this one! I have been impatiently wanting to know exactly what made Ellis run since the first book and I never once expected it to be this. And what it is, is heart breaking. But everything that he does to try to prove his innocence just shows the true type of man that he is. And I loved this character! Arianna is this down to earth woman who truly doesn’t know what her stepfather has been doing. She is how you expect someone who is truly good hearted to be and act. She is sweet but has a backbone of steel that I really loved. And although she is afraid, she still does the things that need to be done. Throwing them together and then having some snippets of the his family in there too? I loved every minute of it and didn’t want it to end! Of course now I want some stories for some of the side characters as well LOL! I will keep my fingers crossed that I may see them someday!
At this point, I feel like I just keep saying the same thing over and over about Katie Reus’s books. She’s on my short list of automatic 1-click authors, at least when it comes to her romantic suspense books. (Don’t get me wrong; I have enjoyed her PNR but that’s not my favorite subgenre to read.) And I’ve yet to be disappointed in a book or a romantic suspense series of hers. Bishop’s Endgame did not break that streak, either. Book 3 in her Endgame trilogy, it’s the conclusion to the Bishop siblings’ dramatic stories.
Bishop’s Endgame is Ellis and Arianna’s story. Undercover DEA agent Ellis Bishop is being framed for his partner’s murder. On the run and out of options, he kidnaps Arianna thinking he can use her to drag the truth from her stepfather who just happens to be a notorious drug dealer. Only she has no idea who her stepfather really is and no idea what he’s been up to. With time running out for both of them, can they find the answers they need to save them both?
NICUnurse’s Rating: Katie Reus is, again, one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. So it’s probably not going to come as a surprise when I tell you I loved this book and loved this series. While her Red Stone Security series is STILL my favorite, the Endgame series was definitely worth my time and money. There’s something about an enemies-to-lovers story, especially one where they are enemies only based on misconceptions, that I just love. And Bishop’s Endgame was just that. Neither character is inherently bad. In fact, they are both upstanding people. But he thinks she’s involved in something dirty and she thinks he’s a true bad guy because he kidnaps her. Eventually, they learn the truth and are able to find their HEA, but the road to that destination is what makes this book a really good read.
I give Bishop’s Endgame, and the entire Endgame trilogy, 4.5 out of 5 stars!
Bishop’s Endgame by Katie Reus
Endgame Trilogy #3
The finale of the series finds Ellis looking to clear his name after months on the run. The prologue explains why he has been in hiding. The next scene is his kidnapping of a woman he believes will be the key to clearing his name. There is tension between them, as expected, along with a healthy dose of fear. Soon, though, Ellis proves to Arianna that he is not the evil person she thought he was. The rest of the story tells of how they go about clearing his name, falling in love and finding their HEA. I have to say that of the three books in the trilogy my favorite was the first.
This book was told linearly and quick paced. I felt there could have been more information about the two main characters as I felt I only met the surface of both of them and really didn’t understand how they fell for one another so quickly. They didn’t seem to have much if anything in common but the story. I guess I found it rather unbelievable and expected more for the climax of the series.
Did I enjoy the book? For the most part
Would I read more by this author? Yes
Thank you to Net Galley and KR Press, LLC for the ARC – This is my honest review.
3-4 Stars
Ellis Bishop has been on the run since being framed for murder. He wants to clear his name, but the steps he has taken so far have only served to isolate him further. As a last ditch effort, he decides to kidnap the stepdaughter of the man he holds responsible for his situation.
Adriana is an elementary teacher, and though her stepfather is a ruthless businessman, she doesn’t know the full truth of his business. Finding herself kidnapped, she must face truths she can hardly comprehend regarding her stepfather. But as she learns more she can’t deny the details that had missed her notice before.
As Ellis realizes Adrianna isn’t lying about her knowledge of her stepfather’s dealings, he needs to find a plan B to what he thought was his last option and working with Adrianna might be the only way he can clear his name.
There is so much suspense and action throughout this story. The threat level is high as they are being hunted by both sides of the law and as a result that pages felt like they were turning on their own as I read.
I had moments in the beginning where I wondered if this was going to feel too much like Stockholm Syndrome, because of their interactions early in the kidnapping. But I liked the way things transitioned and by the time they were fighting off their attraction I no longer felt like it was a power imbalance.
As an end to this series, I appreciated seeing Ellis’s siblings and their new significant others. I also loved that they were able to fall back into the close bond they shared before the events that sent all three siblings lives reeling.
Saving the Best for Last!
WOW! Bishop’s Endgame is the third and final book in a trilogy of stand-alone/character-crossover romantic suspense novels – and Katie Reus has saved the best for last! I suppose in all fairness I can’t say for certain that I could choose a favorite from this series; they were all well-developed, fast-paced, and extremely well-written. All three tied for first! 😉
Framed for a murder he didn’t commit, undercover DEA Agent Ellis Bishop has been in hiding for much of the story so far. He’s back with a vengeance; determined to clear his name, get justice for his friend, and expose the corruption within the DEA.
You can’t help but root for Ellis, he’s so obviously a true “good guy”, although his plan for justice could definitely have used a bit more PLAN. Enter Arianna, our heroine: step-daughter of the real killer, but unbeknownst to Ellis, NOT a “bad guy”. Once they get THAT sorted out, things really start to happen. Reus has given us intense characters with undeniable chemistry and a solid plot line upon which to build the romantic arc. Character intensity, top-notch world building, and dialed up heat make this an excellent choice for your next hot (romantic) thriller read!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher, I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Finally we get Ellis’s story he has had fleeting appearances in the previous two books and I always wanted his story and now that I have got it I am not disappointed
As always with Katie’s books this one flows well is a tight story with plenty of suspense and drama as well as a beautiful love story to keep you engaged until you turn that last page
Ellis was frame by crime boss Vitaly Rodin for a murder he never committed and he has been in hiding ever since determined to clear his name and now he has found the perfect means. He kidnaps Arianna Stavish a kindergarten teacher and step daughter of his nemesis. Arianna hasn’t had a good life she is a recovering alcoholic with many tragedies in her past. What will happen when this super protective alpha realises that the woman he has kidnapped is really the woman this is meant for him and how will Arianna react when she finds out what a monster her step father is.
Bishop’s Endgame is a nonstop action filled romantic thriller. Ellis is a DEA agent who is being set up for his partners murder by his dirty boss and a crime boss. Third grade teacher Arianna is as innocent as they come despite the fact that the crime boss is her stepfather. But Ellis doesn’t know that. Theirs is not a meet cute but the chemistry is off the charts. Can love develop on the run? Can Arianna help Ellis clear his name? Will they live long enough to find out if there is a chance for them? I chewed my nails to nubs while reading this. Thank goodness for family and friends you can trust and count on. A wonderful end to the trilogy.
Sad that this is the final book in this trilogy, but what a fantastic story to end on. I could’t put it down. I love this family and have been really looking forward to Ellis’ book and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Full of romance and danger, Katie Reus writes amazing romantic suspense!! I enjoyed this book from start to finish and really liked Ellis and Adrianna’s characters so much as well as the rest of the cast. This is such an intense story and the perfect journey for these two incredibly strong characters who find a well deserved partner for life in each other.
Finally we find out the story of how Ellis Bishop, undercover DEA agent was framed for a murder he didn’t commit! Oh how I’ve enjoyed this trilogy of Katie’s with three very intense close siblings and their stories of murder and betrayal. This is the very satisfying conclusion bringing all the loose ends together. I also love how she brought in people from her Red Stone Security Series to help out. I can’t wait to see what she brings to us next!
Ellis Bishop was framed by his handler for the murder of his best friend and fellow agent Carter. Vitaly, a lieutenant in the drugs and crime syndicate they were investigating, killed his undercover partner while he watched after getting there too late to help. He managed to get a video of it on his phone as evidence. Thus starts a complex story of betrayal by his DEA handler, Vitaly’s takeover of Leonid Berezin’s East Coast crime syndicate. Ellis doesn’t know who to trust and decided to take Vitaly down by kidnapping his step-daughter Arianna who has off-shore bank accounts that don’t fit her third grade schoolteacher cover. Arianna has no idea what her step-father is up to as they were never close. He was just the man married to her beloved deceased mother. She pretty quickly convinces Ellis of her innocence but then he’s put her in danger and they end up having to work together to bring Vitaly down. I loved the growth of Ellis and Arianna and how they worked as a team. The twists and action plus plenty of steam keep me reading till the end.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
What a fantastic way to end this trilogy! I loved all 3 books in this series and I can’t really say I enjoyed one over any of the others — I loved meeting and getting to know the Bishop family so much. I knew I would love Ellis and his story. Adding in Arianna to his journey made it even better. Two strong-willed, brave souls seeking happiness. If you’re looking for well-written, well-developed characters with an incredible plot that is intriguing, suspenseful, steamy and romantic, look no further. These books kept me on the edge of my seat and up well into the night. I’ll miss these characters but I’m looking forward to whatever Katie has in store for us next! I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC for NetGalley.
Undercover agent Ellis Bishop is on the run after being set up for the death of his partner. He kidnaps Arianna, a crime bosses step-daughter, in the hopes of gaining the information he needs. He doesn’t expect to fall for this kind, caring, and obviously innocent woman.
Arianna is a strong, smart woman and I really liked her. She pulled herself out of her alcoholism and made a new life for herself. Now she is struggling to deal with the revelations about her step-father and her attraction to her kidnapper. I love how caring Arianna is. She quickly realizes Ellis is innocent and doesn’t even question not helping him. She is the perfect woman to help Ellis and win his heart.
“Inside and out, Arianna was this bright star he would do anything to protect.”
Ellis was an undercover detective who was thinking about getting out of the game before everything fell apart. He is closed off and single minded at first but quickly relaxes after being around Arianna. I liked how even though he was doing whatever he could to clear his name he didn’t sacrifice his personal rules, like hurting women to get what he wants. Ellis and Arianna had a quick and intense relationship but it worked really well.
I quite enjoyed the conclusion to this series. I hope to see more romantic suspense books from Reus in the future.
Warning: Heroine was raped in the past. Mentioned a few times.
