USA TODAY BESTSELLER • Meet the Arizona Vengeance, hockey’s hottest new team. They’re burning up the ice—until a one-night-stand with the coach’s daughter freezes one player in his skates. Bishop Scott, co-captain. Not too shabby, huh? It’s all part of my fresh start with the NHL’s latest expansion team, and that means new teammates, a new coach, a new city, and a big new contract. Basically, I … big new contract. Basically, I cannot f***ing wait to show my old squad what they’re missing.
But first, I decide to check out the town before the grind begins. Turns out Arizona chicks are totally smokin’, and I’m fortunate enough to meet one who’s looking for the same thing I am: a night of anonymous, unforgettable, no-strings-attached sex.
Fast forward to the Vengeance arena. It’s the last place I expect to see her again—let alone in her own office. Then bells go off and I finally realize who this girl is: Brooke Perron. My new coach’s daughter. All of a sudden, we’re picking up right where we left off, which means our hands are all over each other. That’s when her dad—my boss—walks in. And before I can get a word out, Brooke’s introducing me as her fiancé.
Sure, she just saved my ass. So why do I get the feeling Brooke’s going to turn my world upside down? Maybe it’s because this fake relationship feels way too real. . . .
Praise for Bishop

This is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance Series, a Sports Romance. Bishop and Brooke’s story is sweet, sexy and beautiful. Bishop is handsome, protective and loving. Brooke is a lovely character, mature and caring. They share a sizzling chemistry. The secondary characters are great. I loved it! Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh did a great job with the narration. Now, I can’t wait for the next book in the Series, Erik.
This is the first book in a new series. I loved meeting all these guys and seeing how they will work together. These characters are so life like. They are all womanizers until they see/meet that special one. Until then they crack me up with their friendships and genuine “like” of themselves. Here we are introduced to Tacker..briefly. I can only imagine how difficult his story will be.
I really like Brooke. Being the coaches daughter She isn’t looking for a hand out. She had a one night stand and got stuck in a position and is trying to make the best of it. On the side though she get to have Bishop as much as she wants until the “break up” occurs.
Bishop doesn’t come off as slutty as the rest of the boys do. I think that makes me like him a bit more. While he was shocked at the situation he decided to just roll with it. Until he starts getting other feeling about Brooke. Now things might change. When he walks in to surprise Brooke and sees Sebastian touching her…DANG! I really love how possessive Bishop becomes at that moment! Just what every girl wants!
I listened to this on audio and Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh did a nice job. I think this is my first time listening to them and I really enjoyed it.
I loved this book and can’t wait to read/listen to the other players stories. Bishop and Brooke are great together. You can tell they are going to be great together. I love getting to know Dax, Erik, and legend along with others. It was a great twist how brookes friend played in this story. Sawyer Bennett did not disappoint.
These Arizona Hockey players got me all worked up! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Bishop and Brooke are all kinds of burning up the sheets. These two made me laugh and blush at the same time. Bishop is not a man to settle down, neither is Brooke but the heart wants what it wants even when they don’t know it yet.
Throw in a crazy friend that is certified bat sh*t crazy! It becomes rather interesting.
5 hockey loving stars!
******* AUDIOBOOK REVIEW *******
I was so excited that I was able to listen to Bishop. I really wasn’t sure what to expect but with Sawyer Bennett I knew I’d enjoy the story. I’ll be real though, sports romances aren’t usually my thing. I mean, sure I’ve listened to several sport romances before but I don’t usually seek them out. Bishop and Brooke were amazing. I love them. I’ve been able to get to know several of the other players and I am way too excited to listen to the other books in this series. Sawyer Bennett created something fun and playful as well dramatic and insanely hot.
The narration by Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh were seriously fantastic together! Greenfield has a great voice. I found myself just captivated when Greenfield was narrating between Bishop and Tacker. Their conversation and the feeling was fabulous and makes my need for Tacker’s story INSANE! Kirsten Leigh is a great counterpart to Lance Greenfield. Her voice is smooth and soft, yet it’s strong. Like I said, they were great together.

An Arizona Vengeance Novel

Sawyer Bennett pens another fantastic story, I just adore her writing style and the wonderful storylines and characters she creates, which are interesting and captivated me from start to end. The Arizona Vengeance Hockey team is a new hockey team, some players know each other well others are just getting to know each other. Bishop, because of his time on the ice has been appointed Co-Captain of the team. The night before the teams meet for preseason start he has a hot, one night stand with Brooke, they have a wonderful time together but never exchanged contact info. Neither knew who the other was, so when Bishop goes in the next day he is surprised to see Brooke. When Bishop’s coach walks in on them in a compromising position and she calls him Dad, he is lost for words, especially after what comes out of Brooke’s mouth as an explanation to her Dad. Once the shock wears off Bishop just goes along with it. I adored these two characters, both are nice and look out for those they love. I thought they were great together and I loved how their relationship turned real. When Brooke’s friend from her old job comes to visit she stirs up loads of trouble. I was not a fan of her and Bishop called her act right from the start, calculating and manipulative. There is never a dull moment in this book, plenty of drama, angst, some smoking hot loving and a buildup to the great romance. Sawyer Bennett, thank you for another fantastic story.
I listened to the Audio version, Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are fantastic narrators and voice artists. They bring the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality. I adored Lance’s Bishop and Kirsten’s Brooke. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they project the emotions of the characters as well as the drama of the story into their performance. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen
Yes! I’m so ready for this hockey series (I’ve been looking for my next series for awhile). Bishop and Brooke, even though they fell fast, I liked the way how they figured it out. Sawyer did a great job of mentioning a bunch of unique side characters. I just loved how the story unfolded. Love the narrators.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Bishop is the first book in the Arizona Vengeance Series and if you love a good fake relationship romance then this is a must read. When a one night stand between two strangers is something that leaves a lingering effect on Bishop and Brooke it also has them both feeling a little deflated that they will never see each other again. What is it they say, never say never. A comprising situation has these two ending up in a fake fiancé charade to save face and protect Bishop’s position in the team. A story that is witty, captivating, packed full of sexiness and passion that will have you enjoying the crazy tales that these two weave to ultimately keep the peace with Brooke’s father. As things become complicated and another party makes a play for tearing their world apart, secrets will be revealed, hearts will be put on the line and confessions will need to be heard. Bishop is an alpha who will find his way easily into your heart and Brooke is the kind of girl that you would want as a friend as this girl has a heart of pure gold. A huge five stars for me in this enchanting hockey romance.
This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased, honest opinion.
This just wasn’t the book for me. Parts of the plot felt so unrealistic….I also had issues with this going into bdsm territory. That’s not something I enjoy reading so it really threw things off quite a bit for me.
Bishop and Brooke met at a bar one night and they decided to have a one night stand. They felt a connection but decided not to explore things and just leave it at one night. The next day Bishop, a professional hockey player, is exploring his new team’s headquarters and he finds Brooke in one of the offices. They’re both thrown off to find out the true identity of each other but can’t fight their connection. Her father, the head coach, stumbles into the room and finds them in a close embrace. Without thinking, Brooke spouts off that they are actually engaged. Oookkayyyyy. I feel that just went from zero to 900,000 lol. The rest of the book is Bishop and Brooke figuring out how to continue the lie to not hurt Bishop’s hockey career.
In theory, it sounded like a fun plot….although the engagement part did throw me off. I just couldn’t get into it. I never really got invested into the characters. I REALLY didn’t get into Bishop because he came off too aggressively. He also was too kinky for my tastes.
This was my first book by this author so I’m not sure if this is her usual writing style or this book just happened to be more kinker than the others. If bdsm is your thing, that’s totally fine. It’s just not something I enjoy reading.
Overall, this did have some nice moments with Bishop and Brooke…however, it just wasn’t enough to make me love the story as a whole.
I’ll admit it…..I haven’t read any of Sawyer Bennett’s hockey books and now I’m wondering what I was waiting for! A fun, sexy story, Bishop is the start to Bennett’s newest hockey series, Arizona Vengeance. With a fun cast of characters, this series is shaping up to be a great one.
I loved Bishop and Brooke. They clicked from the start and their chemistry jumped off the pages. Their fake relationship was cute but it was pretty evident that these two were well beyond “fake” early on. They just jelled and I loved how well they played off of one another. Their fun, flirty relationship was perfectly written. There’s a bit of drama with Brooke’s old “friend” but this story is definitely light on the angst. I can’t wait to read the next books in the series!
Thank you, Sawyer Bennett, for extending your Cold Fury series with the Arizona Vengeance! Keep ’em coming!
Sawyer Bennett has become one of my new favorite authors. Loved this book & cant wait to read the next!
Even though this is not my favorite Sawyer Bennett book, I am still going to give this book 4 stars. I am so in love with Sawyer’s Cold Fury series that I thought that I would like her Arizona Vengeance books. I was so wrong. I think that my issue was that I was unable to connect with the storyline. The characters were great! But I wanted Cold Fury and I didn’t get it. So for me, this was not a WIN. But Sawyer Bennett’s writing was exactly what I expected. If you are a fan of her’s, try Bishop and see if this new series is for you…
Great read. Loved Bishop and Brooke! First time read for this author. I will be back for more.
(3.5-3.75 STARS)
TBH I was a bit skeptical about starting this series. I enjoyed Ms. Bennett’s CAROLINA COLD FURY series and my first though was “been there, done that.” While I could see similarities between both series, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed BISHOP. I wasn’t too keen on how far they took the fake fiancé’ aspect of their relationship. Once that was exposed I wanted more and they definitely deserves an epilogue. Being able to look past my peeves, BISHOP was a strong start to the series and a great escape to get your mind of things for a while.
If you love hockey and romance. This is a great book to read. Enjoyed reading bishop’s story. Brooke is a fabulous lady, who lives NY, moves to Phoenix to be with her dad. The characters are great, the book kept me entertained and I couldn’t wait to read more. This is a series and I look forward to reading the next book.
Loved this book, really liked the main characters and depth of detail
New favorite author.
I enjoy all of Sawyer books
I enjoyed this book. The story was light sexy with great characters. Bishop is very sexy he has just moved to Arizona from New York. Things are a bit different he him but he is a great player and know he can do well. This story start off with a bang and I mean a bit one night stand. Bishop is looking for a good time and he sees a gorgeous woman this is Brooke. She is a gorgeous and knows what she wants and it turns out Bishop is that man. This relationship doesn’t start off to great will the one night stand went very well but it didn’t stop there. It got a lil messy and turned into a fake relationship.
The story was good and it was really easy to read. The story flowed really well I did find it a lil predictable. But I did enjoy it I liked getting to know a few of the other players and I m really looking forward to there books especially Tacker. His story is goin to be great I just know it. I also really liked Bishop and Brooke they were so cute together and very sexy.
I would recommend this book. It was a good start to the series but I just wanted a lil more from it. I wanted more drama don’t get me wrong there was some parts in there I just wanted more. But overall I enjoyed it.
