A happy go lucky story where a scheme is set in motion to win back Daisy’s ex boyfriend. It is so out of this world that Daisy and John get it pulled together and managed to have the right two people to get married is nothing short of amazing. Daisy and John learned that they had way more in common than they thought, that being love. But the part at the reception about the cake was so funny after they explained that Ally’s father and Mitch destroyed part of the cake as they seemed to not have buried the hatchet yet. Now Ally’s father and Mitch may never see eye to eye unless they are fighting! Now that is a story I would like to read!!
Rich girl dumped by boyfriend, plans an extravagant wedding while searching for a fake groom. The plan? Make boyfriend very jealous so that they can get back together. However, things don’t go as planned. It is a crazy wild ride and I loved reading it all!
Daisy is a billionaire heiress who has never wanted for anything. She spends her life at parties and social events and lives a very shallow life. Where her boyfriend, Xavier, dumps her very publicly she is determined to get him back so she comes up with a scheme to get engaged and married (fake married) all to make him jealous. She just needs to find a willing “groom”.
John is a mechanic who is down to earth. When Daisy first approaches him about being her fake groom, he thinks she is crazy and would not even consider it. But, he finally agrees just to prove that she is crazy. The more time they spend together, they begin to see each other’s real side, not the fake side. The real John and Daisy might have something worth pursuing if they can just get past the fake. Is it worth the effort?
I was given an arc copy of this book and enjoyed the quick read. It is simple and probably not a practical story but checks the boxes of clean and sweet. I willingly offer my honest review.
Daisy has a crazy idea to get her ex back, but she needs a little help. John agrees to help, but has his doubts. Then her dad steps in to stop her plan. Will Daisy get what she thinks she wants or something so much better? Read to find out. This was a funny, enjoyable book to read and this author has become on of my new favorites. Check this book out and her other books. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I loved this story of Daisy and John. Daisy appears in the story as an airhead socialite and heiress. As she is visiting her best friend Ally, with her troubles and need to find a fake fiancé, she stumbles across John. He immediately piques her interest and John has no time for Daisy.
Daisy is able to manipulate John with her sad story and the promise of a payout, but her insecurities actually endear her to John. They develop real feelings for each other and John discovers that Daisy hides her true strengths behind the socialite exterior.
The story has a happy ending, and you get to know s much about each character and some of their sub characters during this romance.
