Book 7 of the NY Times & USA Today bestselling The Billionaire’s Obsession Series.
Billionaire Untamed: The Billionaire’s Obsession ~ Tate
Lara Bailey isn’t in Rocky Springs for the hot springs, the resort activities or the fabulous skiing. She has come to Colorado for one reason and one reason only: to find and get close to Marcus Colter, the eldest Colter brother. Unfortunately, trouble … Unfortunately, trouble finds her in the form of Tate Colter rather than Marcus. The youngest Colter brother is arrogant, cocky, smart, and tenacious in his attempts to find out why she wants to find Marcus even though she’s never met him. Lara isn’t willing to divulge that information, and Tate is determined to uncover her motives. It makes Tate one hot, wickedly sexy, adorably dimpled, alpha male pain in her backside.
Lara is really confused when Tate helps her out of a difficult and potentially dangerous situation. It leaves Lara wondering if he really is the cocky, arrogant jerk that he pretends to be, or if there isn’t much more to Tate Colter than she’d initially thought.
Tate Colter wants Lara Bailey in his bed…badly. When she completely blows him off and ignores him when they meet, he’s even more determined to find out her secrets and get her to submit to the molten desire that radiates between the two of them. The fact that she’s one tough female, a woman who can give back exactly what he dishes out, makes her even more intriguing to him.
Sparks fly as Tate and Lara become involved in a battle of wits and wills that will ignite flames of passion and desire like neither one of them have ever experienced. But when deception is discovered and a betrayal takes place, can these two adversaries who are so much alike work together without letting the white-hot passion burning between them incinerate them both?

This is the 7th book in the Billionaires Series. This is Tate & Lara’s story. I absolutely love J S Scott. I hope to see more books with Tates siblings. Lara works for the FBI, and meets Tate while she is in Colorado actually looking to meet with his Brother.
Love this book!!!!!
Certainly far from realistic but great characters with unique personalities that lend themselves to a series. By this book, feels as if you know them all.
I really enjoying reading this series by JS Scott. I have read many stand alone books in a series and when i finished the first one I, it really didn’t matter if I read the next ine or not because the other characters in the book had not been developed in my current book. That is not the case with JS Scott who develops all the characters extensively from the beginning, making me curious to know what else happens in each character’s life.
I like J.S. Scott as an author. This book had good characters and some plot twists to keep the story interesting.
This was a very good book. Interesting and sexy storyline.

Lara Bailey falls for the wrong Colter although the right one was just a job to her. Tate Colter is gregarious, gorgeous, a billionaire and captivated by Lara. He knows she’s not who she says she is but he’s willing to overlook that, at least for the time being. This beauty has him feeling things that surprise him. Once the truth is out about her assignment he offers to help her “get the goods.” The result is devastating to him and his family. Suffice it to say that everyth8ng turns out OK. It is a romance afterall!
In Tate And Lara’s Suspenseful Story, An Ex-SEAL Meets His Match In A Tough As Nails Woman! Fans Of The Series Will Be Glad To Finally Read Tate’s Story.
This is the seventh book in The Billionaire’s Obsession series. Books one through five are centered around Tampa, Florida. Book six is a bridge between The Sinclairs series and this series, but it also shifts the series to Colorado. Here the series continues in Colorado with Tate Colter and Lara Bailey. Tate is Travis Harrison’s friend. He appears in books four, five, and six in the series, The Billionaire’s Game, Billionaire Undone, and Billionaire Unmasked – Kade Harrison, Travis Harrison, and Jason Sutherland’s stories.
The Colter family is well-known for their good looks, genius IQ’s, and billionaire status. Widow Aileen Colter runs the family’s Rocky Springs Resort. Her late husband Russell had died many years ago in an incident overseas. The oldest sibling Marcus oversees most of the Colter Corporation’s vast holdings and is often away on business. His twin Blake is a US Senator, sometimes referred to as the cowboy senator in reference to his cattle ranch. Zane works as a research doctor in biotechnology out of Denver. Chloe is the baby sister. Nearly thirty, she has just graduated from vet school and is engaged to James, whom she has dated since graduating from high school.
Tate Colter, thirty-one, leads a lonely life. His service as a SEAL and later in the Special Forces had been rewarding, but his commitment to the job never left much room for relationships. He had no shortage of women, though. He is dominant and confident through and through. An accident had left him with an injury and an honorable discharge. After some time spent with his friend Travis in Florida, he returned home to Rocky Springs, Colorado. For him, his service was never about the money. He had more money than he ever needed. His service was deeply personal, and had been his driving force. His accident changed a lot of things for him. For one, he had to work hard to recover. That had taken a lot from him, including all desire to be with a woman. He has also had to slow down, and doing so made him recognize that his exciting life had been empty. He still gets satisfaction from his work as a volunteer firefighter as well as from Colter Fire Equipment, part of the Colter Corporation and the business that he had turned into a world class supplier of cutting-edge fire fighting equipment.
Lara Bailey, thirty, works in a man’s world. With no remaining family, she lives her life devoted to her job. There is no room for flowery dresses or fancy hairstyles. She totes a Glock instead. Her second and last attempt to have a boyfriend fizzled out two years ago when she discovered that he had cheated on her, robbing her of the ability to trust. Her new assignment is Marcus Colter. It takes her from D.C. to Rocky Springs Resort, where Marcus is scheduled to return. It isn’t Marcus who catches her eye, though, but his younger brother Tate. Try as she might to discourage him, she soon finds herself in over her head and with a world of secrets that threaten to destroy the entire Colter family.
Tate and Lara’s story is an intelligent romance steeped in dangerous secrets and steamy drama. The story opens with an element of suspense and soon things turn serious. The couple is well matched in their intellect and physical training, which is refreshing for Tate. Lara feels like a woman when she is with him. He fills the void that has left her feeling disconnected and wakes her up to life outside of her work. They both an excellent work ethic and the ability to devote themselves completely to something. Their backgrounds are polar opposites, however. While Tate has a large and loving family, and money has never been a problem for him, Lara lost her parents and later the aunt that finished raising her. There were hardships. And money limited her choices in life. She knows she doesn’t belong in the Colters’ world when she arrives with the intention of luring in Marcus, yet somehow Tate never sees that when he spots her in the resort. The couple faces a few challenges but the Colter men are stubbornly determined to get their way – and Tate is no exception. in the end they find their happy ending.
There are hints at other stories yet to be told in the series, as various characters are introduced. The beginnings of Chloe’s story are woven throughout. There are concerns about her strained relationship with her fiancé. She has just moved home from school and as the wedding date grows closer, so does her family’s concern for her grow. Her story follows in book eight of the series, Billionaire Unbound.
In Tate and Lara’s suspenseful story, an ex-SEAL meets his match in a tough as nails woman. Fans of the series will be glad to finally read Tate’s story. It is a light, quick read. The story is well-written and plot-driven. The characters are well-developed. The story is written in third person. The POV alternates between Tate and Lara, with a section in Aileen’s POV as well as one in Blake’s friend Gabe Walker. I rate this book 4.5 stars.
This is the next book in the Billionaire’s Series this is Tate’s book. If you’ve read the others you already know some about Tate and couldn’t wait to see him fall for someone. He’s the ex-military never going fall for a woman guy and you know it’s going happen to him. This leads us to Lara who is in Rocky Springs on an assignment to obtain information for her job and she’ll use any means necessary to do just that. However Tate wasn’t part of the plan, he comes into her path and she can’t seem to stop thinking about him even though he’s a complication she doesn’t want or need.

Overall, loved this one I was looking forward to reading Tate’s story because he was in the previous books and found it funny that anyone would fall for a woman including his close friends. I loved when it happened to him and Lara is a strong independent woman that is able to put Tate in his place. It was a page turner that I couldn’t get enough of once I began. I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.
