Perhaps, he needs a new angle, like the sexy business partner of the bodyguard, Johnny Killebrew. Man I truly love this series!! Lynn Michael’s is the queen of Motocross writing!! Johnny has been trying to move on from Pilot, it’s his best friend but Pilot has two men in his life. Johnny feels adrift, odd man out. Then Gavin walks in, things change then.
Johnny should be getting ready to take over Trident Security but that is not his dream, but trying to tell his uncle that is hard. Gavin gives him be strength and courage to go after what he wants. Both guys help each other all while falling in love.
A fantastic story, laughter, fun, races, friends getting together, all leading to that forever commitment. Life is so much sweeter with the one you love!
Lynn Michaels had done it again! I’ve really enjoyed reading the first two books in this awesome series, and this powerful, grab-you-by-the-feels, fast paced, interesting, fascinating, action packed, and smoking hot story is an amazing addition to this marvelous series.
Bike Business by Lynn Michaels is a story about MotoCross racing. Johnny’s best friend, Pilot, and he went into business together, but they drifted apart when Pilot fell in love with another man. Two other men to be precise. Johnny’s feeling left out, literally a fifth (well, fourth really) wheel. He’s not even into the racing, he was just into Pilot.
Enter Gavin, a strong and dominating man. Is this finally the relationship Johnny needs? Can he separate the business from his friend, and now his lover?
I enjoyed this story, though I didn’t read the earlier books. It was fine as a stand-alone, but reading all of them is probably advisable for the background information. It didn’t matter I’m not into racing. This is a life story, A love story, set in the racing environment of MotoCross.
Bike Business is part of the Holeshot series by Lynn Michaels. It is fun and steamy. Johnny and Gavin are sexy men and together they heat of the pages. They definitely fit well and are exactly what the other needs. Just a taste of angst, a little kink, some motocross and a lot of love… this book delivered on the emotions. A wonderful and satisfying read.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of the book and I am voluntarily leaving my honest review and recommendation.
This is a FANTASTIC story. These books can be read as standalones, but this is an EXTRAORDINARY Series!!! Johnny is Pilot’s best friend. Even though, suddenly everyone around him is into Supercross racing, he doesn’t get it. Gavin is a Supercross racer recruiter for a brand new team. When he meets Johnny, he has ulterior motives. But when they get together it’s hot, hot and more HOT!!! Johnny finds out Gavin has a kinky side, and he wants it. This is a great story about big discoveries, not selling yourself short and being honest with yourself. Life is not waiting on anyone, go for it!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!!!
Mix motocross, sexy men, a bit of angst and lots of love and you have a great story. I love how this author can captivate me and get me totally engaged in her stories. I enjoyed the story-line and found the characters enjoyable and likable. This was an emotional story and these guys had to work for the happiness.
Johnny and Gavin are fun, sexy, steamy and will catch your attention and hold it for the ride. Grab your copy and enjoy!
I am so enjoying the Holeshot series and love that we now have Bike Business as part of that series.
I was gifted this book from the author and i freely give my honest opinion and review.
So,here’s the question: what could make introverted, lonely Johnny come out of his shell? And more importantly, make him get over the years long infatuation with his best friend? No problem, because Lynn Michael’s dirty mind comes with the perfect solution: make Johnny meet caring, commanding and kinky Gavin.
Hot premises for a story,right?
The chemistry between these two is off the charts and their sensual encounters are scorching. Ah,but that’s the easy part,no issue there! Johnny was happy with the way Gavin managed to bring out sides of him ne never knew he had. It only started getting tougher when feelings got involved. I’ll admit it was frustrating to watch Johnny retreat within himself or choose to stay away from Gavin whenever he felt too emotional, it seemed like a one step forward, two steps backwards kinda dance.
Because, after all,the best kind of love is the one you have to work for, right? The author surely hasn’t made it easy for either of them, but Gavin and Johnny eventually realize which are their priorities, they are obviously made for each other, both professionally and personally.
And I really liked how Lynn Michaels turned the bike racing business into a side character,as well described as all the others. Necessary, considering how huge part of Johnny and Gavin’s lives revolve around it. And it only made the book all the more fun to read.
So,be ready to enjoy a charming romance with the soundtrack of rumbling engines. I loved it!
Wow! I can honestly say there is no one I would rather have as a supercross racing teacher, than Lynn. Once again she proved to me that knowing zilch about the sport (well, almost zilch) does not matter at all when reading one of her books!
The story is absolutely captivating. While revisiting previous MCs, we also experience a budding relationship between two complicated men. Johnny and Gavin do NOT have it easy in the first place and, to boot, they put a lot of effort into complicating the situation even further.
Lynn Michaels did a great job of capturing a pletora of different conflicting emotions in a way that lets the reader into the MCs’ heads. Awesome book.
I received an ARC of the book and leave an honest review.
Johnny is feeling left out as his long-time childhood friend Pilot finds love with not one but two younger men who are drivers in the Supercross dirtbike circuit. Readers discover that the bookkeeper for his uncle’s Trident Security company linked his dream of being a co-owner to a life he had planned with Pilot. With Pilot committed to two other men, Johnny’s goals and dreams are in tatters. He develops a relationship with Gavin, a manager for the team reeling from the arrest of the driver who was behind the harassment and attacks on Davey and Tyler. Gavin abandons his goals to lure away Bryce by manipulating Tyler and develops solid plans to win promising drivers for his team all while building and strengthening his relationship with Johnny.
As Johnny wrestles with changes in the dynamics of his relationship with Pilot, Gavin wrestles with his jealousy of Pilot as someone Johnny continues to rely on in time of need. In the end, Johnny makes three major changes in his life. He relinquishes his goal to join Pilot in becoming half-owner of his uncle’s security company. He relocates from Colorado to California and moves in with Gavin. Lastly, Johnny accepts employment on Gavin’s team to further his bookkeeping skills and develop new ones.
I must admit that my knowledge of the storyline for this book is sketchy as I found myself fast-forwarding past the BDSM sex scenes that were not predictably located at any point in the novel’s chapters. Such made it difficult to navigate to the other relevant events in the book. Many writers choose to start and/or end a chapter with a sex scene, making it possible for the reader to more easily disengage from erotic content they may find excessive, uninteresting, or distressing. Most may find BDSM marvelously stimulating but it can be disturbing and repulsive for other readers, especially when the book’s synopsis does NOT indicate it as a quality sexual interaction between characters in the story. BDSM can serve as psychoemotional triggers, especially for those suffering sexual trauma.
