A really good western romance.
Sadie was on the run from a truly bad situation so when she’s rescued by Elliott, she’s not sure whether to trust him or not. But when she realizes how hurt she is and that he’s a doctor, she knows she has to trust him, at least while she’s healing up. However, Elliott isn’t going to let her go so easily since he fell for her right from the start. Now he just has to convince her to trust him too.
This is the fourth book in the Big Rock Romance series and can easily be read as a standalone. It also deals with spanking but it certainly fits within the story and timeline.

This Book 4 in the Big Rock Romance Series is a very well written story with characters that have strength and determination. This can be read as a stand-alone book as well as in order in the series. It does have some of the characters from the previous books and you get to see how they are doing. The tale shows how dark some people can be and also shows how some people in the world are good and are willing to go the extra mile. This story also show the chemistry and love between two of these people and they must overcome their pasts to have a HEA. A Good story and Series

Book four in the Big Rock Romance series a well written story that kept me turning pages. This is a wonderful addition to the Big Rock series, and like the others can be read completely standalone. While characters from previous books do feature, this is very much Elliott and Sadie’s story. We take for granted in modern times just how knowledgeable girls are before they ever experience sex, but for Sadie, who has been both sheltered and abused, knowing what is normal and good in a relationship can be very difficult. Luckily, Elliott has both the desire and the patience for Sadie to learn. This book isn’t all hearts and flowers and does deal with some horrific levels of abuse, but it is a fantastic story that introduced more characters to potentially build into the series. 4* instead of 5* because the ending just felt a bit easy.
Sadie is promised to a mean and vile man who tries to rape her, so she runs away from the orphanage. She doesn’t know where she’s going, but she’s been hiding out for a few days in an abandoned mine near Big Rock. Elliott is headed for Big Rock after the death of his wife and child. His brother is the sheriff, and the town doctor is moving away. On his way, he rescues Sadie when the mine collapses. This is a great story, with action, danger, mystery, suspense, good friends and family, romance, and a spanking or two. I love how big-hearted Elliott is, helping Sadie’s friends escape, and how Sadie eventually realizes that he’s such a good man, and finally begins to trust him. We get to see our favorites from previous books.

I really enjoyed this book of suspense, mystery, love, heroes, and great characters. Sadie is betrothed to an older abusive man. She never agreed to the marriage but when you are living in an orphanage, your life is not your own. What do you do but escape the horrible circumstances you are in while trying not to get hanged for going against the law. Elliot has lost his family and his brother feels like he needs to come visit him to get away and try to heal. Elliot comes to Big Rock and meets someone he never expected, Sadie but boy is she stubborn. You will enjoy this book and the characters. I have yet to read the first 3 books in the series and now I want to read the others.

Another delightful story in the series.
This charming western finds two new characters arriving in Big Rock. Elliot is a doctor and brother to the sheriff, Jim. He is determined to start anew after a personal tragedy. Sadie is a young woman on the run from her past. She’s pretty and smart but but not able to make her own way amongst the dangers of the time. Perhaps these two can help each other out of their current situations. We meet up with a few of the characters from previous books in the series which is always fun. I enjoyed the plot of this short novel and once again enjoyed the warm and wonderful inhabitants of this town. There is a lovely romance with a bit of steam and some strong reactions from dominant men. Mostly there is charm, humor and a moving plot with good people trying to help others.
3 1/2 Stars! Book four in the Big Rock Romance series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone. Novella length told in dual POV with HEA. Sadie is on the run from an arranged marriage when she is rescued by Elliott. They have some miscommunication before Elliott makes his intentions to marry her known. Then he surprises her by his kindness to those she cares about. Sweet historical western with a little steam!
