AlexI’ve got a big name in hockey, famous for my stick skills–on and off the ice. But I’ve also got a freckle-faced female problem. I took my sister’s tomboy best friend to a Vegas wedding to cheer her up after a bad breakup.Too much champagne later and I’m waking up with her in my bed and my ring on her finger. And the crazy part is…CharleyMrs. Alex Stone has a nice ring to it. Even though I … Alex Stone has a nice ring to it. Even though I know the name’s not sticking. My best friend only set me up with her brother to make my ex jealous. Karma, she called it. Too many drinks and a lot of laughs later, Alex suggests we elope as a lark. I’m all in. It is Vegas, after all.
I call timeout after the not-so-fake honeymoon, but Alex says we’re going into overtime.
Game on.

Fun, sexy and romantic!
Hockey hero Alex and his sister’s best friend Charley attend a wedding together to help each other out. How was Alex to know that tomboy Charley would turn out to be the gorgeous woman of his dreams? How was Charley to know that their one night stand would turn out to be an unexpected marriage that Alex is unwilling to annul right away. Fun, sexy and romantic!

I loved this one this was so sweet a perfect romance.
Charley was dumped right before her friends wedding in Vegas a trip she herself was hoping ended in her own wedding. She changed her Tom boy appearance and went by her full name and for what to be dumped after three years right before the wedding?
Her best friend demands that her famous sexy hockey player brother Alex take Charley to the wedding. He just lost a big game so why not?
Charley is all grown up and sexy she’s still fun and humble but now she’s all woman a drinking game turned into a drunken Vegas adventure and a wedding, well 2 weddings.
Will they end this as soon as they get home or will they try to make it work? This was such a fun story I loved it so much!! I wish it was longer.
4.5 stars. Well I skipped right to this book because I do love me a big, sweet hockey player! And I’m not sorry because I really enjoyed it! It may be short but it packs a fun sweet story, complete with humor and tons of passion into it via Alex and Charley. I love this couple! Charley is Alex’s sisters BF and has been since childhood. Because she was a tomboy and played hockey herself, Charley was always like one of the guys, that is until now. Alex is gobsmacked by the Charley he picks up to take to a wedding. She is still the same girl on the inside but her exterior has changed a lot and now Alex finds himself very attracted to her. They have an interesting story for sure and I was cheering for them to be together and have their HEA.
Okay, this book was a tonne of fun, and sexy, and just a great read, I LOVED IT!
Well this was the first book I have read from Blake Wilder and it definitely will not be the last! Holy wow was this book HOT! I was sucked into the story from the first page and it was fabulous. The chemistry between Alex and Charley was off the charts steamy and just wow. I would highly recommend this book and now I am off to grab the rest of this series!
Big Puck, part of the Size Matters series by Blake Wilder, is an athlete, sibling’s best friend, oops-we-got-married story about Alex Stone and Charley (NOT Charlotte) Matthews.
Alex’s a pro hockey player coming off a devastating end to his season and Charley’s just been brutally humiliated by her ex-fiance. His sister Bella is Charley’s best friend and convinces him that what they need to pull themselves out of the dumps is to be each other’s date to a mutual friend’s wedding that weekend. Alex agrees reluctantly, not having laid eyes on Charley for nearly a decade, and with her fiercely competitive tomboy image burned into his memory from their days of playing on the same hockey league through high school. Bella also warns him to be gentle with her, as she’s enormously shaken from what her ex put her through.
When Charley opens the door the evening of the wedding, all those warnings and any reluctance go out the window. Grown-up Charley is just as tough, funny, and easy to be with as she was in high school only she’s also, in a word, a babe.
Charley and Alex’s story is a hoot. It’s a fun, sexy, page-turning ride from the start, and their chemistry and sense of humor will keep you smiling as you fan yourself. It’s a treat to enjoy their banter and interactions not just with each other but with their friends and families, and see them come to understand just how perfect they are together, and how tenderly they care for the other. Big Puck is a match made in heaven. Or just Vegas 😉
It Grabbed My attention and focus so strong I could not put it down. A word of advice when you get your copy. Grab a snack, a comfy seat, kick back and relax. You will not be moving until you finish this bad boy here. Remarkable job. Thanks for sharing.

She isn’t the tomboy he remembers and he needs to put a ring on her finger as quick as he can
Big Puck is the sixth book in the Size Matters series by Blake Wilder. This is the story of Alex Stone and Charlotte Matthews, aka Charley, who find themselves waking up in Vegas with rings on the fingers after a night of one too many cocktails it seems. But Alex is the older brother of Charley’s best friend since kindergarten, Bella. These three grew up together and Charley was a tomboy through and through. Alex went off and became a big NHL star and was enjoying all that came with it. Alex has the wedding of Roger and Lindsey to attend and he plans on going stag so he can nail a bridesmaid or two, like it is a sport or something. But Bella calls and asks if he would take Charlotte as his date. It seems Charlotte’s ex dumped her just before the wedding, as Charlotte is also attending, and she now needs a date, but one with a bit of payback attached. Being seen with Alex would score a hat trick against the ex. It takes some convincing on Bella’s side but Alex finally agrees to it.
Ales has not seen Charlotte in ten years and boy is he in for a surprise when he lays eyes on her again. What he remembered as being a tomboy has grown into a beautiful, smart, witty and feisty woman that he cannot keep his eyes off of, or his hands it seems. She is still a tomboy underneath and also one that loves the game of hockey. Before the night is over he realizes that she is his match in more ways than on but one that he definitely wants to win.
This story is really well written with witty banter between Alex and Charlotte and a great story-line. The characters are wonderful, including the many supporting, and they all weave throughout the story making it a fast-paced, interesting and great read. I recommend this book!
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Phenomenal! This is an extremely interesting read with a well-written, funny, well-developed plot that is relatable and consistent. I was completely riveted from the very first page; there is so much to look forward to in this book. The characters are strong, entertaining, and amazing. The chemistry between them is potent and sizzling hot; the sex scenes are off the charts and well described. A really great read – definitely recommended!

Excellent addictive romance
I loved the characters and the story. The dialogues between the two main characters are excellent, and even if a part is predictable, the story remains nonetheless exciting and addictive, sometimes humorous, but often very hot too.
Alex and Charley are two childhood friends who have just experienced a great disappointment:
Charley has just been dropped by her boyfriend who was cheating on her and Alex has just lost the qualifiers with his Ice Hockey team. They both depress and are put together for a wedding to look good in the face of the Charley’s ex. However as soon as they meet again, their attraction is strong between this player, playboy who wants nothing of the family life, and this woman who wants only a family life, but now on her terms respecting what she had lost so far. But Alex knew her before she forced herself to change for her ex, and it is this Charley there that he likes. But because of their image, of their past, whatever there is between them, none is ready to assume anything in front of the others, even themselves.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book
Alex is the bad-boy of hockey who every one knows is a bachelor and proud of it. He is not looking to settle down now or ever so when his sister asks him to escort her best friend Charley to a wedding he is reluctant but agrees. Charley is a tom boy who recently broke up with her boyfriend of 3 years expects to attend the wedding alone until her best friend Bella informs her that Alex will be her escort. Charley has always had a crush on Alex but being the tom boy was only seen as one of the guys. Will this set-up end in a hook-up?
I absolutely adored the characters both main and supporting. The story line was awesome.

For me there was no denying the appeal of this book. This is a fast read that delivers a fun, flirty and fiery romance. I loved Alex and Charley. They were a little bit cute and a whole lot sweet and steamy. The story has enough drama, humor and emotional tension to keep you happily entertained.
wow .. what a very nice story .. these two have a very good chemistry with each other and that pops off the pages .. despite all the uncertainties that exist, they do the thing that makes the other happy and that flourishes to a tremendous love. I really enjoyed this story .. one of my favorites from this series. sure of me, 5 stars.

She Shoots…She Scores!
Blake Wilder scores again with this latest gem, Big Puck, as her latest contribution to her wildly entertaining SIZE MATTERS Series.
This storyline centers around star hockey player, Alex and his sister’s best friend and his best tomboy friend growing up, Charlotte aka Charley who he hasn’t seen in eight years. His sister has asked him to escort Charley to a wedding reception where her ex will be with his new girlfriend. Alex is blown away at the changes in Charlie’s appearance. Gone are her tomboyish ways. Of course since the wedding and reception is in Vegas they do the traditional elopement thing but, they remember they are doing it, they agree to stay together for two weeks. But will they, or will they want more? Will puppies be involved?
Great writing as usual in the author’s Romcom style. She has a knack of giving her characters funny lines that are not so outlandish that a real person would not say something like that.
So once again I’m definitely recommending this book and the series for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.
