Great beach read!
Evanovich is always worthwhile. Another romp with tongue firmly in cheek.
I love the Stephanie Plum series so I thought I’d try another book by this author. It was not my favorite. There was no mystery, little humor, and was rather predictable. I wish I could give it a better review.
A sexy personal trainer meets an overweight widow and helps her get in shape and improve her health. They become friends and he learns …
I usually love this author but this book was a big disappointment. It was boring and I just stopped after about half way through. I rarely stop reading a book.
Not what I was expecting. Didn’t live up to the Stephanie Plum adventures and became a chore that I wasn’t willing finish.
I’m torn on this one. Evanovich is a good writer. She’s versatile, insightful and easy to read. This is a bit of an ugly duckling story and it also rests around concepts of over-sized women being less attractive than slim women, at a superficial level. This book as so I spring as well as entertaining! The lead lady is such a great character!
Entertaining, with values and cultural challenges slipped in to make you ponder.
Fun to read
I love reading Janet Evanovich. I got hooked on Stephanie Plum and that whole cadre of characters, and couldn’t wait for the next zany installment. I picked this one up hoping for an Evanovich fix, but was disappointed. I’d forgotten she also wrote light-hearted romantic tales. If you are into that, this might be your cup of tea. I, …
I thought I was buying a Janet Evanovich book…not even close.
It was cute
This book would have been hidden under the mattress when I was a girl! Lots of fun to read if you’re not terribly prudish..Loved the characters and the humor.
Premise okay but much too wordy with unnecessary extra scenes. Should have been a short story.
I loved this book! It was my first foray for this author and after reading this, I proceeded to read the rest of her books. The characters are realistically flawed, and their journey is one that any of us could travel, and written so well. I do recommend reading “The Sweet Spot” first though.
I read the few chapters and deleted it from my Nook.
Very enjoyable.
I good beach read
