Big Girl Panties by Stephanie Evanovich is a rollicking and poignant romantic comedy about a young widow who decides to get in shape…and winds up getting her groove back—and a whole lot more! Holly Brennan used food to comfort herself through her husband’s illness and death. Now she’s alone at age thirty-two. And she weighs more than she ever has. When fate throws her in the path of Logan … path of Logan Montgomery, personal trainer to pro athletes, and he offers to train her, Holly concludes it must be a sign. Much as she dreads the thought of working out, Holly knows she needs to put on her big girl panties and see if she can sweat out some of her grief.
Soon, the easy intimacy and playful banter of their training sessions lead Logan and Holly to most intense and steamy workouts. But can Holly and Logan go the distance as a couple now that she’s met her goals—and other men are noticing?

Young overweight widow meets a sexy personal trainer on a plane. He offers to help her get in shape and they fall in LURVE. I was surprised at the number of steamy sex scenes in this book and kinda annoyed at the whole “fat girl loses weight to get the hot guy” and the amount of “I’m insecure and not good enough for the hot guy” scenes. Did I …
Wow.
Well, this book certainly evoked emotions in me that I was not expecting. I was expecting a nice fluffy read and got a book that made me both sad and thoughtful. It is too bad that real life cannot be like books and movies are; it would be wonderful to believe that someone like Logan Montgomery would be out there waiting for a fat girl like …
I wanna read
I enjoyed listening to this romance during my runs.
It was fun to see how the “ugly duckling” with grit and determination became “almost” a beautiful swan. The characters were very likable and interesting.
I could have done without the sex scenes – not that I am very opposed to sex scenes in general but in most cases I thought more along the …
I enjoyed the story line featuring a woman who was not your typical heroine. The male lead was interesting as well. I wasn’t really feeling the supportive characters though…they had a fetish that is a turn off for me in stories, but other than that, it was an entertaining read.
I loved this book. The emotional eating to dull pain is something most of us have experienced. The judgements stares from both men and women is another. I loved that she did her best to be her best self although she was not physically perfect. I’m thrilled that he finally appreciated her for all she was in spite of her less than perfect body. She …
Excellent book!
I really enjoyed reading this, it was a fun read. Loved the characters and it made me not want to put it down!
an easy and good read.
love all of her books a big fan.
It was a fair read- not nearly as good as her other books.
Did not like it, and shelved it before I got 1/3 of the way through.
Excellent book. Love story with a good plot line. Stephanie Evanovich has the same talent as her mom, Janet. Writing is excellent. Would highly recommend.
Enjoyable story. Holly and her best friend have a interesting relationship. The emotional eating resonated with me. At time you like the characters and other times, they make you angry.
This is a fun, easy weekend read. I enjoyed it immensely!!!
Predictable
I was very disappointed in the topic and body shaming-did not even finish it.
I listened to this from library. It had me rolling, crying, and angry. Great story, strong female characters.
Thought provoking and entertaining.
On the creepy side.
