He’s big. He’s bad. His claws are epic.Frantic to avoid detection, Lila hides for the night in a condemned outbuilding on the edge of town. She checks each bunk for comfort and rests on the one with a strangely enticing scent and falls into an exhausted sleep. One problem—this place isn’t abandoned. Miners actually live here. And she’s chosen Zayzon’s bed. The loudest, tallest and sharp-clawed … and sharp-clawed out of a band of tragically messy Xylan brothers who can’t clean to save their lives. And he keeps standing much too close. And sniffing her hair. And muttering something about mating compatibility.
Whatever.
She’s just that desperate, so she offers to become their housekeeper if they’ll let her stay. The brothers accept, and Lila cleans up their freaking mess, relieved to have somewhere safe to live. Meanwhile, Zayzon keeps insisting that she continue to sleep on his bunk. And she keeps accepting! Because it’s getting harder and harder to deny her attraction for his possessive gaze, razor-sharp claws and his large… um, personality?
But Lila can’t fall for anyone, even a scary male who turns out to be cuddly. Not when demons from her past are about to return for their down payment.
Can a human save an alien miner’s life, without breaking his heart?

I love this series, just as I love stories about the Xylans. The author’s world building is excellent, she has created a social and biologic imperative that has them virgins till they meet their fated mate. It’s so rich and well rounded that you just see how their whole society and caste system works. Add in Lila and the danger that she’s fleeing from and you’ve got a great story. The chemistry between Zayzon and Lila is awesome. Zayzon and his brothers are big hulking hunks, but not brutes and add to the overall story by welcoming Lila and promising to protect her even though she won’t tell them what she’s running from. Action adventure and a HEA, loved that it was longer than the last one. Keep ’em coming!

This is book two of the Fever Brothers and I can’t wait for the rest of the brother’s book. Lila and Zayzon were a really cute couple. Lila is a shut-in after everything that has happened in her life but she is thrown into a new world where she meet Zayzon. Zayzon is a brute of a man but seeing Lila has him changing, but just for her. These two’s story have some drama, action, longing and steam. I would recommend this book and this series thus far!

Lila’s whole family is gone. All she has left is her staff and stepmother. She has become a shut-in, afraid to even leave her house. But now that some wants her dead, she has to not only leave her house but her planet. Unable to find his mate, Zayzon has vowed to remain unmated. Until he comes home to find a human in his bed.

Oh where to begin. These brothers are just too adorable for words. I love that they are rough and ready hard working miners and still so incredibly kind and gentle with Lila right from the start. Zayzon was literally the most darling male, fierce and intimidating in every way except with Lila. With her he was just a giant marshmallow and I loved his complete dedication to her after only scent-sensing she was his mate. And I loved Lila. Very sweet but with a solid back bone despite her legitimate fears. This was definitely a little bit of a Snow White adaptation, and I really enjoyed Ms. Mills take on the tale. I’m very much looking forward to the next book!
