In a world where vampires rule the night,In a place where werewolves roam free,In a universe where anything could happen,You have to be ready.I’m a writer. I’m not a fighter, or a hunter, or the kind of girl who carries a sword. I’ve never shot a gun and I’ve never even gotten in a real fight before. I dream up love stories; I don’t cause trouble. At least, I didn’t think I did.But when Flynn … didn’t think I did.
But when Flynn Richardson marches into my book signing and hauls me off into the night, I realize that my books have done more harm than good and I’m forced into a school where the monsters I write about are real.
They actually exist.
And not a single one of them likes me.
Welcome to Big Bad Academy.
It’s going to be a bad year.

The main characters in this story are Heather Smith (Miracle) who is a paranormal romance writer and Flynn Richardson who is a wolf shifter and alpha’s son. Heather writes her romance books about wolf shifters and vampires that are influenced by her dreams and nightmares. She didn’t think they were real, but she had been having dreams about them since adolescence and used this to help write her books. She hasn’t attended any public signings in the past, due to a very obsessive fan who turned into a stalker, leaving her to have to change all her social media details, phone, number, email, pen name and so on. She has come to a writer’s convention weekend and is attending her first ever live signing for fans and she’s a little nervous! She gets a few fans come and ask her to sign books for them, but then a very strange yet handsome man comes to her table and looks directly at her, rather than at her books. He asks her the oddest of questions, wanting to know where she gets her ideas from for her stories. Only the presence of another writer finally gets him to move on.
At the end of the evening, she packs up and can’t wait to get to her bed in the hotel for a rest, so she can leave early in the morning and get back to her cats Maple and Syrup. Only she doesn’t make it back to her room, but into the arms of Flynn as he forces her to the Greystone Academy for shifters, mostly wolf shifters led by his father Gerald, the Greystone Pack alpha. Flynn was accompanied in his kidnapping of Heather by his best friend Gatson, but he is a much more friendly type than Flynn. Gatson’s wife Lily is one of Heather’s biggest fans! Heather somehow seems to know how the Greystone pack operate, the floorplans of the academy and lots more about the people in the pack and details that could cause problems for the pack. His alpha wants to know how she came across these details and if she is involved with the missing pack members that has occurred over the previous three months
But rather than attack Flynn again, she ends up kissing him and that totally confuses him, while his wolf wants her as his mate! He drags her into the academy and they are seen by students, who are amazed he has brought a human into their safe place of learning. As a human she is not well liked and the alpha and his mate Maxwell want to question her, not in a nice way, to find out her part in the harm being done to the pack and the secrets she has revealed in her books. She doesn’t seem too shocked to discover that what she writes about in her books are a reality and doesn’t give the usual human response to Flynn shifting in front of her. Definitely a complex, yet kind human woman, who he is completely infatuated with, no matter how much he tries to fight against it! Someone is still targeting the wolf pack and its members and Heather is key to it all, even if she has no idea why! An interesting read with characters from two different societies, that both refuse to initially be part of the other. It’s not just their attraction to each other that brings about a stronger connection, but their very personalities and behaviours towards each other and others. I enjoyed this story and it made me laugh a few times. I liked the simple concept of a paranormal author getting kidnapped by a shifter from her imaginary world. Add in a little mystery and suspense and it was a cute fun read.
I really liked the premise of this book, especially when Flynn charges in and kidnaps Heather in the middle of her book signing event to haul her off to a shifter academy since he believes she can help solve the mystery of the recent disappearance of shifters. Even though Heather writes books about shifters she had no idea that they actually existed and she is in for a shock at what she learns and also unprepared for the attraction that develops between her and Flynn who just happens to be a werewolf! This was a fun book with a different yet in many ways familiar story-line that I enjoyed!

Writer Heather (FMC) gets more than she bargains for when fiction becomes reality in this book. When she gets kidnapped by the very people she unknowingly wrote about except they think she knows more than shes letting on. I loved the relationship between Heather and Flynn. It was funny in parts but also sweet natured too. This book is a different take on the shifter genre i think and i like the twist on Heather writing about a world she knows nothing about. Its a totally fab read
Heather is a paranormal romance writer. She’s had vivid dreams for many years of wolf shifters and has written about them in her books. She’s at her first book signing when a handsome and annoying man kidnaps, and takes her to a place she never knew existed. Flynn is a werewolf shifter and I absolutely want one for my own!! I loved Flynn and Heather and their chemistry was palpable. An incredible must read!

This was an imaginative story. Heather writes paranormal books about werewolves and such. One day she is at one of her book signings and is whisked away by Flynn. Apparently her books are doing more harm to these group of individuals than she could have imagined. So she is sent to a school the Big Bad Academy for history lessons. It seems that wolves from the pack disappear each full moon. Heather dreams of these things. They want her to learn and give them information. Flynn says Heather is his mate, but will not go there with her being a human. It is a new twist on the paranormal book.

ONE TOE TAPPING DELIGHT
Hubba hubba! Sophie makes magic once again with deliciously delectable deep dish delicacy, raising the stakes and keeping it real, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration, catapulting this sweet treat to a whole new level. Chicanery runs rampant and havoc is rife, broken boundaries are shattered and expanded, launching this gem into the eye of the storm, kicking it into a tailspin with astonishing impacts. Contention and dynamics in layer upon layer that you peel back with each page your drawn into this web so profoundly until everything else ceases to exist. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into outstanding personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that’s so rich and lively it feels you were transported to ground zero with them. Fantastic job Sophie, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
Our heroine writes paranormal stories, but little does she know it is all real and her stories are causing problems for the paranormals. Time for some schooling.
This is a paranormal story with an academy setting. That is kind of a given from the story title. What is not as obvious is that the story is well written, easy to read and rather fun. Both the setting and the characters are well developed and I enjoyed discovering more about both throughout the story. There is also a bit of a mystery which helps keep things going and provides a bit of a distraction. Overall, the story was a fun read and I look forward to more from this author.
Highly recommended

In my opinion: Absolutely by far her best work!!! Had a rough night of sleep opened this bad boy & didn’t getting anymore….. This book was way better than expected. It surprised me in a great way! Was not the same old song & dance that some/most writers do with the usual paranormal romance characters. It is a fantastic story in & of itself!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! HAPPY READING!!!

Heather is a paranormal romance author whose success relies on a secret no one knows. She has had vivid dreams of werewolves for years and her books are basically dream journals. When an incredibly handsome but equally infuriating man kidnaps her, Heather finds there was so much more to her dreams than she could have ever imagined. Nash is a werewolf from the pack she has been dreaming of, and those dreams are mating dreams. Heather, Nash, and the whole pack have to learn to live together and weather a crazy stalker before they can resolve their own issues. Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns hot and steamy when she writes books paranormals, then there’s Flynn kidnapped her and marched into the woods to the Academy.
Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Conflicting Interests
Fear and attraction can be an interesting combination. And being self sufficient and being told what to do can be a pain. The characters have a tendency to flip flop on their firm beliefs and what they say versus what they do… However, I do like that they are willing to take chances and try seeing situations from all sides, which seems to be lost these days.

This story kept you interested in wanting to know what was going to happen next. There was a few areas where I thought it could be better, but they were small. We have Heather who writes paranormal romance novels. We have Flynn who is a wolf shifter and his father is the alpha. Heather is having her first book signing and who walks in, but Flynn. When she leaves Flynn decides to kidnap her, because he thinks she is behind the wolves disappearing. What will Heather do? Will Flynn let her go? Will she be able to convince him she has nothing to do with it? Why does every thing happen to her? Can Flynn figure out that Heather is more to him then just a author? Will Flynn trust her? Will Flynn let her go?

Flynn and Heather are a sweet couple. Heather is a writer and Flynn goes to her first book signing. They start talking and then Flynn leaves. He then kidnaps Heather to find out if she knows why someone is taking pack members. They realize quickly that they are fated mates. They both deny it of course but soon realize they can’t ignore it. Beautiful love story.
First off, I loved the cover for this book. The book is well written with likable well developed characters. A great book that I recommend reading.

I absolutely loved this book and hope there is more set in this world. It is an interesting twist on the Academy trope and shifter mates. I was immediately drawn in and could not put the book down. I cannot wait to see if more stories are coming.

Heather writes romances based in the supernatural world. Which in turn come from the inspiration of her own dreams. What happens when you find out your dreams are real and your putting those in your stories in danger?
I really enjoyed this spin in the werewolf/vampire genre! Heather is likable with her toughness and even the sass
She can throw. Flynn is a bad ass that can’t admit he has a softer side. When thrown together their chemistry radiates off the pages. Following heather as she embarks on her stay in the big bad academy, a place she isn’t accepted or wanted and her resilience to it all made for read I couldn’t put down.
This was a first by Sophie Stern for me but you can bet I’ll be snagging more as soon as possible!
Love this story. Really different premise. Heather has been having dreams about wolf shifters since she was twelve. Her therapist said she should write down her dreams, and that lead to her being a very successful paranormal romance writer. But at a book signing she meets a strange, rude man named Flynn, and later he kidnaps her. He is a wolf shifter and believes she is behind the disappearance of several of his pack members, because a page out of one of her books was found near where one of the members disappeared, and her books describe too accurately his pack and the academy they run. Has Heather been dreaming about his pack for almost twenty years? The disappearance of the pack members is related to Heather’s books, but not the way Flynn thinks. Both he and Heather are in extreme danger. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review
