i started reading the series at book two. i felt a little lost but not bad and i thought i would go back and read the first one before going to the third just to find out how sarah shay and justin ended up together. i have to say i was even more lost through this book and it was supposed to be the first book in the series. im not sure if maybe there is a novella before this that amazon and i have both over looked or what happened but i felt like there for sure should have been a whole different book before this one. i did like trying to glimpse what was happening that brought them together but i have to say i wish i would have just left this book alone and went straight to the third. major let down.
It was interesting enough and I enjoyed the action but it read like book two in a series. The beginning was like being dropped in half way through and the dialogue was a bit off putting. So it was just an okay read.
Leigh Vernon has done it again! She hooked me on the first page and kept me hooked and on the edge of my until the very end. The twist and turns, the thrill and anticipation for what was coming next never left me. I recommend this book to all who love Thrilers.
I received this book as an ARC on Story Origins and am freely leaving an honest review voluntarily.
Unusual Paranormal Thriller!
A very confusing start for this action-packed psychological thriller. The unique characters kept me reading to decipher the intriguing storyline. Once I understood the backstory, the fast paced action, suspense, and twists held my interest to the very end. The epilogue gives you a glimpse into the next book and I look forward to reading more. Enjoy!
I was lost from the very beginning of this book. I feel like I came into the middle of a story with no way to figure out what was going on. This may very well be the second book in the series, but I definitely wish that I would have known. As such, I stumbled along, lost in what was really happening, where it was happening, and why it was happening.
So, I will just have to say that I didn’t enjoy the book, and it may be because of my own ignorance. Also, there were a number of editing mistakes, such as repeating a phrase, misspellings, and awkward phrasing. I think the author could improve the book if these were fixed.
I received an ARC of the book, and I leave this reply to let other know what i feel.
Wow! This was an amazing story!! The action was pretty much non-stop from beginning to end. Just the imagination needed to come up with Powered people is truly magnificent. Highly recommended to anyone that loves to read plenty of action in their books.
A paranormal psychological thriller. Justin is blessed with power. He doesn’t realize the totality of it though. Shay invades his body and they’re sharing it. Shay reveals things to Justin and helps him towards fulfilling his destiny. This is fast moving action packed storyline with lots of twists and turns. You cry for those who die and cheer for those who are persevering. Will Shay stay in Justin? Who is Justin and why is he so special? This is a great read. Can’t wait to see what is going to happen next. Received ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
