He would sell his warrior soul to possess her. . . . An alluring laird…He was known throughout the kingdom as Hawk, legendary predator of the battlefield and the boudoir. No woman could refuse his touch, but no woman ever stirred his heart—until a vengeful fairy tumbled Adrienne de Simone out of modern-day Seattle and into medieval Scotland. Captive in a century not her own, entirely too bold, … entirely too bold, too outspoken, she was an irresistible challenge to the sixteenth-century rogue. Coerced into a marriage with Hawk, Adrienne vowed to keep him at arm’s length—but his sweet seduction played havoc with her resolve.
A prisoner in time…
She had a perfect “no” on her perfect lips for the notorious laird, but Hawk swore she would whisper his name with desire, begging for the passion he longed to ignite within her. Not even the barriers of time and space would keep him from winning her love. Despite her uncertainty about following the promptings of her own passionate heart, Adrienne’s reservations were no match for Hawk’s determination to keep her by his side. . . .

This is the book that made me a devout Karen Marie Moning fan. To be honest, it was also a huge inspiration in my own writing. I loved everything about it, the romance, the humour and every last sigh.
Good story, good series, love, time travel paranormal and higlanders. Enough said!
A friend had been telling me for YEARS to read this one. After reading it, I can’t believe I didn’t have this book in my life sooner!! Well-written with ALL the feels in there. Can’t wait to dig into the new one in this series!
3 out of 5 stars. Good book … however, the tale was too drawn out … and the issues could have been resolved sooner and possibly would have been a better book that way. =0P I did like the characters though! =0)

I love the Highlander books and have read each one of them at least twice. I would reccomend them to anyone that enjoys amazing love interests, exciting twists and HEA’s.
Beyond the Highland Mist was fun and whimsical and outright entertaining. I loved the fantasy element of time travel and fairies and Adrienne and Hawk coming together. I was fascinated by everything that was happening and I loved losing myself in this world!
This was a great romance and fun. I really enjoyed it. But it wasn’t in love with the story. Still it was good.
Love this series. Karen Marie Moning’s Highland and Fever series are awesome.
“A Midsummmer Night’s Dream” reimagined with a woman from the 1990s pulled back 500 years to the Highlands of Scotland to torment a man who had caught the attention of the Fae.
I enjoyed how the author used folklore, the Fae and references from Shakespeare’s work to weave her tale of sorrow and happiness.
Her Highlander series might be the …
I specifically loved the plot which uses time travel, the fae – with their trickster ways, and current and historical male/female roles. Certainly made for a lot of laughs
This was a great read and my first from this author (will not be my last). I got into this book and did not want to put it down. I usually do not enjoy time travel stories at all but this book stays away from the “I’m from the future let me talk all about it” and the”omg how did I time travel let me spend most of the book freaking out about the …
Great story
I love all the books in the Highlander Series. I couldn’t help but fall for Hawk, a stubborn alpha male who falls fiercely in love. Sigh. I couldn’t put it down!
Love this entire series!!
Read the entire series. I have … several times!
What a time traveling thrilling romance that captivates you.
Beyond the Highland Mist is the book that hooked me and I couldn’t wait for the next story! Time travel is a favorite genre of mine; especially when a modern woman is thrown into a time when women had no or few rights. This one has a little different twist as the female is thrust into the body/life of an existing person. The fun is in everyone …
First in this series.
A mix of old school bodice ripper romance with pre requisite virgin ( from another time ) and roguish, lathario Scottish lairde… who is done wrong by his king and turned man whore as a punishment.
Doomed to marry crazy Janet of a neighbouring clan..lairde hawk ( because I’m not gonna pronounce the rest of his names ) and …
Loved everything about it!
Everything by this writer is amazing! The characters draw you in and the story unfolds perfectly
