Beyond Measure: A Dark Bratva Romance (Ruthless Doms)

Jane Henry takes us back to the Boston Bratva where we get to know Tomas, the pakhan. Nicholai and Marissa play a part, along with Stephan from the Atlanta Bratva in this storyline and we’re introduced to members of the San Diego Bratva. This is such an intense, emotional story. I don’t want to give any spoilers because as good as this is, you’re going to want to read every word yourself, but trust me, you don’t want to let this one pass you by. I thought book 1, “Priceless”, was good. This one blew that one out of the water. I was lucky enough to be given a copy of this book and am honored to give an honest and voluntary review.

Liked the story. Liked nikolais better. I like Tomas but he is exacting and dominating. I understand his powerful position but he has no compromising skills. Caroline came from abuse and refuses to be treated like property and a toy and to be treated like a submissive so quickly was hard for her. They balance each other. But he needed to learn from her as well. Hot scenes. Loved that he wanted to avenge her pain and hurt done by her POS brother and his friend.

HOLY HOT TAMALE! Jane Henry has wowed me once again with BEYOND MEASURE, the second titillating installment in her Ruthless Doms series! This deliciously dark and gritty, smolderingly sexy and intensely emotional tale is PULSATING with passion, excitement, panty melting hot spanky times, and is so wildly addictive I could hardly catch my breath!

THE PREMISE:
For the good of the brotherhood, the time has come for Tomas Dobrynin, the powerfully ruthless Pakhan of the Boston Bratva, to claim a bride. And he is owed a massive debt so why not kill two birds with one stone? For Caroline has scars, inside and out, and while Tomas awakens secret submissive desires in her that she never dreamed possible, she feels unworthy of love and devotion. MY MUSINGS:
Jane Henry spins a high-octane arranged marriage story that truly bristles with excitement, passion and pathos, sin and seduction, angst and suspense! As we are swept up into the dark and dangerous Bratva world, a deeply poignant woven love story unfolds between Tomas and Caroline that pierced the heart and slayed the soul! And the heat level was off the charts! The sizzling chemistry and torrid passion between this powerfully commanding Pakhan and his beautifully flawed bride leaped like flames off the pages, and oh my, the erotic interludes and discipline-tinged BDSM sessions left my girly bits all aflutter!

Yummmm. Tomas radiates dominance, masculinity and an unbridled ferocity that gave me full body shivers! Sighhh….it’s in his nature to protect and provide, who can resist that, right?! But make no mistake…this stern, formidable, and at times heavy handed, Pakhan rules with an iron fist and demands respect at all costs. So while Tomas’s “little detka” was truly his most treasured possession, she WOULD learn her place or suffer the consequences!

The emotional complexity of this love story really struck a chord in me. Caroline has endured much cruelty and abuse in her life and her emotional wounds are embedded impossibly deep. But if there’s one man who can help her heal, spirit and soul, it’s Tomas. For he may be ruthless and barbaric in his work, but Caroline brings out a softness in him that will make you swoon! I just LOVED how mirrored in his gaze he made her see herself for the beautiful woman she was, a woman who was more than worthy of love. HIS LOVE. And he would STOP AT NOTHING to avenge the tormentors of her past!

Gah! I also ADORED this heroine! While on the surface Caroline might seem scarred and vulnerable, yet despite her crippling insecurities, she is “no submissive wallflower,” and has a sassy, bubbly side, which I found utterly endearing. She has been locked away in an ivory tower all her life yet being absconded from the only home she’s ever known was still far from easy. But with Tomas’s strict yet tender loving guidance she finally learns how to fly free. And as the story evolves we come to see her blossom and emerge as a woman of strength, courage and conviction.

Ultimately, I thought these two made a PERFECT match and even though they have plenty of palpable tension and obstacles to overcome, I relished watching Caroline slowly but surely win the heart of her growly beast! However, it’s far from smooth sailing because a war between brotherhoods is coming which will ultimately end in bloodshed! But of course good triumphs over evil in the end!

BOTTOM LINE:
I can’t rave enough about BEYOND MEASURE! And if you too can’t resist a steamy and adrenaline pumping Bratva tale that delivers on every level, this novel is guaranteed to leave you writhing in pleasure!

I love books based on the Bratva men, and this one definitely doesn’t disappoint. When Tomas (and his closest advisors) suggest he marry, he decides to take a bride as payment of a debt. When he meets Caroline, she is not at all what he expected, and so much better. While he would never admit it, he is instantly smitten with her, but can he tame her attitude? She has had a rough life and only expects bad things to happen, so when Tomas shows a different side, she isn’t sure how to handle that. Tomas is an all alpha male, and has a dark side to him, but at times his soft side does show thru. These two characters are vastly different yet so perfect together. Can they build a marriage when they don’t even know each other? I loved this story because you could never guess where they would end up, so I just had to read it in one sitting to find out! I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more by this author.

I absolutely devour every book in this series. Intense, dark, romantic, and enthralling. The men are dominant, protective, and embrace the darkness, needing to find that one woman who can be the light in their world yet can survive the darkness that drives them. I find myself not being able to put the book down once I start and the family knows not to interrupt me. This addition to the series left me breathless and, yes, I read it twice because I didn’t want it to end. A guilty pleasure that I’m proud to claim so hi, my name is Sue and I’m a dark Bratva-holic.

Beyond Measure is just that! Loved this book. It was so easy to get drawn in and time just disappeared. I could not wait to find out where their story would take me. Tomas and Caroline have off the charts chemistry. He is 100% alpha and she is learning her value and confidence as his wife. Will they be just business or will love be found? OMG! I absolutely LOVE this story!! Phenomenally well written, with enticing characters so worthy of the happiness they seek, I suspect BEYOND MEASURE is the BEST Bratva Romance offered on Amazon this year! It is a wonderfully romantic love story of Tomas and Caroline, who as individuals were immersed in a world full of darkness and violence. Yet together find that past overshadowed by the healing empowerment of unconditional love. Their story is EPIC, captivating, and pulled on every emotion! I could not put BEYOND MEASURE down until I had read every last word! And then I read it again! While I voluntarily read an early copy of BEYOND MEASURE this is one novel, I will purchase to support the very talented author, Jane Henry. BEYOND MEASURE will also be placed in the FAVORITES collection on my Kindle. Even though this is my HONEST and VOLUNTARY 5+STAR review, I wish I could give BEYOND MEASURE ten stars more! I have to admit, the darker romances from this author have been a bit hit & miss for me. Sometimes I won’t even bother reading them. But this one absolutely blew me away! I loved it from beginning to end. I loved the relationship between Tomas & Caroline & even loved the dynamic between them & the other characters in the story, as well. While it can be read & enjoyed completely standalone (like I said, I haven’t read all of them), there are characters from the other books that make appearances throughout the book.

Tomas Dobrynin has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. Caroline Koslov is not happy with her present and angry about her future. They’re both on the cusp of something new.

Caroline will give you a sense as to what she sees when she looks at herself and Tomas. Tomas and his men show some of the more colorful aspects of their life. Caroline has an uncomfortable moment and needs some liquid courage. At one point she’ll have you chuckling and then she pops out a famous quote that you should recognize. It’s a great way to wake the reader up and have you pay attention – what will the author surprise us next with? It was also a great way to put the reader in the scene. Tomas keeps telling her something and I started feeling like I should answer for her.

I hated being pulled away from what was going on. I wanted to see how things were going to turn out for Caroline. It was nice to catch up with characters from the first book of this series. It was also nice to see how Tomas was taking care of Caroline. In one scene he offers her a Russian remedy that I found myself curious about and found it to be true – working in a library sometimes researching things comes in handy. One last nice thing was seeing an Epilogue that has several happy endings. But it did leave me wanting more – just not very patient if I have to wait awhile.

Tomas is Pakhan of the Boston Bratva brotherhood and it was suggested that he should marry. Aren is a high up in the San Diego chapter and he owes money to Tomas and he asks that his sister be exchange as a way to pay the debt. Caroline is battered, without any niceties when she is sent to Tomas to get married. What she hasn’t counted on was a very humane man. He is harsh, domineering but she feels protected and safe with him. The story will take you on their journey of fi ding love, strenght and passion. A wonderful story of discovery of loving one self.
