Until Declan Riley falls into her arms…
literally.
His tattoos and his Irish accent are enough to melt her panties
His diagnosis? That’s enough to break her heart.
But Tess can help him get the care he needs…
All she has to do is marry him.
Declan knows he should keep Tess at arm’s length.
What they have is temporary. Necessary.
And he knows from experience just
how dangerous getting close can be.
But the longer he’s around the smart, sexy doctor and her son,
the more Declan realizes
close isn’t enough.
He wants Tess. He wants it all.
Even if he has to do the one thing he swore he never would to have her.
From USA Today best-seller Kimberly Kincaid comes an older woman/younger man marriage-of-convenience story full of sizzle and sass. This full-length romance features an Irish American Air Force veteran-turned-model and a take-no-crap attending physician finding out if fairy tales really do come true.

Beyond Just Us is the fourth and final book in the Remington Medical series by Kimberly Kincaid. This was the perfect ending to this series, with Tess, the woman who seemed to hold everyone together in the previous books. It’s time for her to get her own happy ever after and wow, just the right man fell into her life to make it happen.
Tess Michaleson is thirty five years old, divorced and has a ten month old adorable son named Jackson. She is also the head of the Emergency Department at Remington Medical. Tess is smart, tough, and maybe a little bit rough around the edges. She tells it like it is, always. She constantly struggles with being a full time single mom with such a demanding job. She is good at her job, saves lives every day, and loves her son with all she has to give, but was made to feel like she was less than by her ex husband who is no longer in her or her son’s life. And is also made to feel the same way by her mother and sisters, like she doesn’t measure up.
Declan Riley is twenty seven years old. He separated from the Air Force two years ago due to a health problem. He has an Irish accent and is a tatted up, swoony man that now poses as a cover model for romance novels! Declan has no family and was forced to leave his family of brothers when he had to leave the Air Force. Now he has no one. He has traveled to Remington in search of his friend Conner for medical advice. But before he could even find Conner, he found Tess, and Tess saved him.
Tess instinctively knows that Declan is a good man, he has to be to be Conner’s friend. And she also knows that this man needs her help. Help his insurance can’t give him. Tess has good insurance so she offers to marry him so he will be able to get the treatment he needs.
Declan and Tess become friends first. And Declan also falls in love with little Jackson. They learn to trust, and to lean on each other, to have each other’s backs. Neither of them has ever had that before. It doesn’t take long when that friendship becomes more, their feelings grow to more, and a temporary marriage of convenience starts to feel like it could possibly be something more.
I loved these two together, I loved the way they responded to each other, the effect they had on each other. Declan saw Tess, really saw all of her beauty. He respected her and supported her. The way little Jackson took to him was so adorable. For Declan, he finally felt like he belonged somewhere, like he was a part of a family. But their path was not an easy one.
This is such a wonderful series. All four of these couples in each book were wonderful. I am so happy that Kimberly saved Tess and Declan for last. You can read any of these as stand alones, but the characters do recur in each other’s books, so really, if you haven’t read any of them, start at the beginning, so you can get to know all of these amazing characters.
**4.5 Stars** Tess and Declan’s story was on my list of highly anticipated reads. This series has been such a pleasure to read and from the beginning I have been wanting Tess’s story. She so deserved an HEA of her own! When I first discovered who that would be with, I was one happy reader!
I loved Tess and Declan together. They had amazing chemistry. What started out as a marriage of convenience turns into so much more. Declan is perfect for Tess and I loved how he was with her and his support. And the sexy times between these two? Hot! *fans self*
A big thank you to Kimberly Kincaid for a great ending to an awesome series!
This is by far, not only one of the best stories in this series, but also one of my favorite ones written by this talented author.
If you have read the series, you’ve met Tess Michaleson, the physician in charge of the ED at Remington Medical. A no nonsense single mom, whose sole aim is to save as many patients as she can.
When Declan Riley, her friend Connor’s best friend , literally falls into her arms, she is determined to help him . Even if it means having a marriage of convenience.
As the story progresses, so does the relationship. But life is full of ups and downs and the road to happiness is a bumpy one.
Aside of the storyline, It’s a story about how ones family, or lack thereof, truly molds the adult.
Riley’s loss of his sister, his mother, and his career, leave him with little hope of not losing once again. Does he want to risk the pain the loss can inflict?
One of my favorite quotes in story beautifully describes life. “…happiness is worth getting complicated over.”
Kudos to the author for giving the reader such a touching and thought provoking story.
I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Awesome!! This story was sooo good!! Declan and Tess’s story is heartbreaking, hopeful, sexy and romantically perfect. This story hit very close to home for me. This story was well researched and reality based and I couldn’t put it down. It filled my heart with love at the ending. You are REALLY not going to want to pass on this book. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
I have loved each book in the Remington Medical series and Beyond Just Us did not disappoint. Kimberly Kincaid delivers a beautiful love story that had just the right mix of drama and romance but also lots of heartfelt emotion.
I absolutely loved this story. Tess’ story was the one I’ve been waiting for and it was so worth the wait to have a story that gave me all the feels and I fell so hard and fast for Tess and Declan. I was rooting for them from the get go. Their romance was sizzling hot and filled with bittersweet and poignant moments.
Beyond Just Us was such a wonderful read and the best way to end this fantastic series. I enjoyed it just as much as the other books in the series, if not more. Kimberly Kincaid always crafts wonderful characters, hot romances, and emotional stories. I have loved the whole Remington world, and as sad as I am that this series has ended I am excited to see what Kimberly comes up with next.
Tess is newly divorced, single mother. She says she doesn’t need a man to keep her happy. Sha has her friends at Remington Hospital and that’s all she wants. Until one day, man pass out in her arms.
