I was so upset and surprised to read her story about her life, and how traumatic it was. The way they separate children from their parents and the hard life she had since both her parents worked for David Miscavige. Her story has been backed up by many others. The church seems to be built on control and power.
wanted to know about scientology
Fabulous inside view of the treatment of children and families in the Scientology Sea Org. Gripping story.
It was informative and interesting, just found something better to read.
I found this book to be informative about Scientology and some of the inner workings of the church from a member’s perspective. It was tragic how the children during that time were separated from their parents and not given any kind of education, beyond looking up definitions of words. A peek behind the curtain of Scientology
A bit difficult to read as it displays the depravity of man, and done in the name of God is very upsetting. Good read, though.
Wow! Fabulous story of the resilience of the human spirit. Similar to the Glass Castle!! Loved it!!!
A few reveals I haven’t heard before but mainly a rehash of others who have left the church/cult
Interesting view of Scientology.
Such an interesting look into the world of Scientology.
It’s a tell-all expose by a genuine insider. If you have any interest in the organization at all, you should read it.
I already submitted a review for this book.
This is what Scientology is really about. Torturing children even teenagers should be outlawed in this country!
What a brave young women! Really!! My she continue to live a beautiful and joyful life!
Always intriguing to see behind the scenes of these fringe religious groups, so many have similar patterns of abuse, sad to say. This was well written showing the triumph of the quest for truth and the pursuit of personal freedom.
I had trouble reading it and couldn’t finish it. I have trouble with reading about child abuse
With all the religions circulating around, it’s good to understand one of them from the perspective of one of the former believers. It opens your mind to how others strive to live this life.
Allows the reader to better understand the horrible world of scientology
I really enjoyed learning about the inner workings of Scientology from someone who has been there. Although the author went through a lot she eventually finds peace.
