I loved this, felt like “I Dream of Jeannie” back in Regency days.
Hilarious and sweet as well.
Bewitching is one of the funniest books I’ve read. Take a witch who can’t get a familiar except ….. can’t reveal that. Her family worries about her because her magic never works out just right. Through in a dose of romance and disaster strikes.
Historical, fantasy, fun, romantic and a great read. I’ve bought this book more than once, it …
Very entertaining.
I really enjoyed the story/book. Ok the duke Was a douche bag.. what up with him. I get it…MAGIC ***please!!. I’m in his court sorta of mind boggling. All in all everyone is in love.
IN LOVE? Even the Earl yeah… you go Ms. Hornsby…read these book years ago. Enjoy.
Love love love this book!!! Laughed till tears at some parts. I love the witty conversations and humorous situations. It has humor, wit, and steamy scenes. My kind of book!
Drew the story out too long. Needless, a bit juvenile as well as ill timed sexual narrative.
You have to be in the mood to read about magic.
A fun read…thanks!
Story was very enjoyable.
Cute and funny.
I first read this book many years ago and it is still one of my favorites. I have reread it so many times I almost have it memorized however I still enjoy it and I still laugh out loud at some of the antics. There aren’t many books that are well-written enough to make you laugh out loud. I had it in hardcover but my daughter sold it at a garage …
Loved this book!
Not a predictable read at all. Gentle lessons on bigotry in many forms and social norms. Some poignant moments and some chuckles, a delightful reminder of what truly shapes who we are.
A delightfully charming sweet romance featuring a not-so-skillful witch (Joyous Fiona MacQuarrie) and the stuffy Duke of Belmore (Alec). Wonderful likeable characters and laugh out loud funny.
I re-read Bewitching during the 2020 pandemic and it was just as charming, witty and wonderful the second time around.
Barnett really outdoes herself on this one. Sad enough to rip your heart out but funny enough to break out laughing. I will definitely read again at least once!
I love every word, Jill Barnett book are all great.
An absolute delight!! Love the characters and the differences they overcome.
Enjoyed it!
These characters you welcome because they are so appealing. Our heroine never gives up and continues to hope no matter what the obstacle. Our hero has the capability to bring you to tears as you feel his pain. When they find their way you can only feel joy as they admit the importance of their love for each other. Very satisfying romance.
One of my very favorite books ever!!! The characters and story line are hysterical AND moving at the same time. Gotta love a Scottish witch with”IFFY” powers! LOL. I also love that you can read the secondary characters stories in her other books!
