Her worst nightmare has come true and it’s still only her first day of college.A new urban fantasy series from the award-winning screenwriter of ground-breaking BBC TV series Spirit Warriors. With death on her hands, Marley is haunted by her actions and terrified by her new powers. Christian won’t let her forget what she has done but worst than that, there’s the terrifying ghost who keeps coming … but worst than that, there’s the terrifying ghost who keeps coming after her, right when she is at her most vulnerable. What does she want with her?
After almost causing another terrible accident, Tyler knows they must learn to control their new powers – whatever they are – or risk killing again, but a self-taught lesson doesn’t go as planned, leaving the girls more fragmented than when they began.

This would be a Excellent story made into a TV or Movie. Great Troubled characters who are stumbling on to powers they have no idea they have or how to use them. These 4 girls are basically the nerds, Geeks, the ones that do Not fit in. I t will be interesting how this plays out in further books.
4.5 stars for this book. It’s another short and sweet story but certainly action packed.
The girls don’t want to accept that they have powers but each girl starts to experience different things Tyler blows up stuff in chemistry, Cassie changes her face when she least expects it, Eve fights off demons with Rats and Marley gets confronted by a ghost. After all of these things the girls start to face facts but all of a sudden Christian is called back to the spirit plan. What will happen is anyone’s guess. So onto book 3 for me.
Another exciting episode in this excellent serial. Captivating! I hope the author manages to get this to television. I received a free review copy of the audio version of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Beware the Signs: An Urban Fantasy for Magic Fans (Twisted Book 2) by Jo Ho picks up right after What Doesn’t Kill You leaves off.
I listened to the Audible version and it was like listening to an episode of a TV show. Allyson Voller was very good as the narrator.
The girls are going to their first day of classes and learning what their new powers are, though they have no control of them. They also learn more about the bad guy, Michael.

This review is for the audio book.
I really enjoyed this book, I was hooked by book one and I still am, so off to start book three. Jo Ho is a very talented writer and both this series and her Chase Ryder series have me hooked, I don’t know which audio book to start next because as with both series although they don’t end on cliff hangers, you do want to find out what happens to the characters next and she makes you care for each character. Also each character has traits that is in someone you know, be it the shy quiet girl or the girl that glosses over her insecurities with bluster and confidence, all of which makes the characters come to life with very little imagination.
Marley after having just killed a man with strange new powers that she didn’t even know she had, is now being haunted by his ghost. And what is worse is the three new friends she has just made can’t see him. Which is a shame because he is the only one who can tell them anything about the new powers that they are showing signs of having. With out of control powers the four girls must learn to trust each other because they are facing a far greater danger than one of them talking to ghosts. Demons are real and walk amongst us with there own evil plans for the world. One of those plans is stopping the four them from learning what they can really do.
I like the narrator she builds up the tension with every word she speaks.
second in the Twisted series worth reading and/or listening to. Can’t wait to see what happens next.
An amazing book. Extremely entertaining, captivating and interesting read. I could not put it down. Wonderfully written with strong, intriguing characters. I want to read more from this author.

After the freaky events that happened in book one, now the girls are torn between believing and denying what their eyes saw. I love how each girl is wrapped up in their own world and I hope that they can soon come together as friends and work through their problems together. There is more in depth to some characters and of course the suspense holds up all the way to the end. I have come to enjoy the side snippet of the past that is touched on in each book. I really want to learn more about the past girls and how it relates to the future. Overall, I say this was a great sequel that I can’t wait to read book three!
Beware the Signs is the second short serial in the Twisted series.
Final Rating: 5 Stars

I received a copy of this for a fair and honest review. I have to say this first off and I know that is going to be harsh, but Christian gets on my nerves. I know what happened to him, but he is just a little overwhelming for me. I know they girls all have things going on in their own personal lives, but they are supposed to be a team, but they have hangups that make it almost impossible. I fear is going to take more than an attack to bring them together in this dangerous world they can no longer deny is there. If you want to know what I am going on and on about grab a copy of this when it comes out.
Marley, Tyler, Cassie, and Eve are trying to come to terms with the discovery of their powers and how to deal with it. While each one has their own personal demons to fight their new found discovery only puts a dapper on their moods. With their new found powers they also are asked to fight a power stronger than them to save others.
The darkness and intrigue seem to build in this series and leaves you waiting impatiently for the next book! This series keeps getting better and better!
Beware the Signs, Episode #2 – Intense. Intriguing. More players join the original cast as the storyline develops. The four young women start to recognize their special abilities as the evil begins. Well written with interesting characters and a plot that grows with suspense and twists. As with the first episode, it’s a cliffhanger. 5* Paperback.
What Doesn’t Kill You, Episode #1 – Totally awesome!, and it’s just the first episode. It’s a cliffhanger but it’s written in episodes, which I totally dislike in any book. That pet peeve aside, Ms. Ho has done a jam up job with the start of a new series. This genre is right up my alley and I love everything I’ve read by this author. The story starts with the introductions of the main characters and touches on their background. I’m sure as the pages grow, the characters will develop more with time and experiences. So far, I like all of them, and I usually don’t care for this age group, but I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the story. The last chapter pretty much gave a big hint of the future of these four young women and the roller coaster ride their lives will be now.
I wish I could tell what happened to Christian, but that’s a spoiler; I let you enjoy the story with fresh eyes and no heads up. The story line can go anywhere from here and I know the ride will be fast paced and twisted. I thank the author for the clean language; yes, real people do not use vulgar language, whether they’re Christians or not. 5 stars even though it’s in parts – made for the screen, not to make more profits. Paperback.
