I enjoyed reading about a strong women who know s what she wants and is willing to set out to get it no matter what society dictates. A bit of mystery and romance thrown in just adds to an entertaining story.
Short book, quick and easy reading
loved it great characters and lots of intrigue
A revelations of the heart story. Strong willed main characters with lots of secrets and tension pulling at the heart strings. Clean and romantic, tragic and amusing, more amusing than tragic. A good read.
I absolutely loved book 1 of this series, Blake and Willow’s story! A different kind of hero and heroine than the usual historical romance brings. Well written storylines and wonderful characters. Captivating from the very start.
Laura Landon is an amazing writer, and I always find her style to be such a comfortable and rewarding read, with so much to offer. Next up, Bewitched by the Poor Man.
Love it when family has your back. Her mom was great.
Such a nice read. A sweet romance with just enough suspense to keep it interesting … Oh, and a surprising development at the end!
Good story, good dialect. Strong female and male characters
Not your everyday Historic Romance. Social status problems between society Lady and working class rich manufacturer. Pretty good, even though I didn’t like to twist presented in the epilogue, Intended to spur interest in the next book, left an incompleteness to this story.
I was in need of a short book, this was an easy read and I could not put it down. I happened to learn something I didn’t know, I was surprised at the ending. There was completion with an epilogue that wrapped things up.
Great twist ‘
Interesting characters and now I want to read the rest of the series.
Very good story.
Loved it. The story was not what I was expecting.
Good read with characters stepping out of their given roles for the sake of love.
loved the characters
Interesting view of the life of the classes in 19th century England.
I loved reading this book. A man out for revenge, but throws it away for love.
Good to remember that love can soften a heart bent on revenge and give a person hope for a good future.
Loved it a different story line
