#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERNo one knows you like your sister. She can make you laugh or break your heart with a single word. And no one writes novels like Kristin Hannah, an author who vividly explores the intricate bonds of family and, as Tami Hoag said “touches the deepest, most tender corners of our heart.” Now, in her rich, captivating new book, she creates an indelible portrait of two … indelible portrait of two women, once lost to each other, about to come together in a time of exquisite joy and almost unbearable sadness. Sisters by blood, strangers by choice, each stands at a crossroads, ready to confront the betrayals of the past. . . .
BETWEEN SISTERS
Meghann Dontess is a woman haunted by heartbreak. Twenty-five years ago she was forced to make a terrible choice, one that cost her everything, including the love of her sister, Claire. Now, Meghann is a hotshot divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in intimacy–until she meets the one man who can change her mind.
Claire Cavenaugh has fallen in love for the first time in her life. As her wedding day approaches, she prepares to face her harsh, judgmental older sister and their self-absorbed mother. It is the first time they have been together in more than two decades. Over the course of a hot Pacific Northwest summer, these three women who believe they have nothing in common will try to become what they never were: a family.
Tender, funny, bittersweet, and wonderfully moving, Between Sisters celebrates the joys and heartaches that can only be shared by sisters, the mistakes made in the name of love and the healing power of new beginnings–all beautifully told by acclaimed author Kristin Hannah.

I have 4 sisters so I could definitely share the feelings of these two, I understood how hard it was to forget the hurts they shared. It was easier to go on with their own lives and not get involved in the others life. It seems to always have some sort of tragedy to bring people together and that is sad. I was happy that they were able to …
I would only half-heartedly recommend this book; it’s predictable, with fairly unsympathetic characters. I finished it because I don’t like to give up on a book.
I loved the storyline of the 2 sisters.
I really wanted to know what had divided the sisters.
I am definitely a fan of Kristin Hannah’s books. They are real and I know they resonate with many people myself included.
I liked this book
This is a romance novel. It does not have the character development or depth of The Nightingale.
Kristin Hanna always a great read about life’s situations.try to read all of her books.
Implausible but OK.
I really enjoyed this book. Kristen Hannah has great character development as usual. I liked the ending.
Great read, hit close to home.
Love all her books
As always, Kristin Hannah’s characters are well-developed, and I enjoy her explorations of family relationships.
Wonderful story. Heartwarming.
So realistic, family relationships can be difficult & challenging. This book had it all, bossy older sister, secrets, sickness, disappointment & love interests. The characters were real & believeable. I felt like a part of the family & really was pulling for them & a happy ending.
Your basic love story that ends happily ever after. Author did not do enough medical research to make it believable.
This was the first Kristen Hannah book that I have read. I really enjoyed it. The characters were very well drawn. Some twists and turns along the way with the possibility of “happily ever after ” in the future.
Great depiction of forgiveness in second chances.
Didn’t finish it
Thoroughly enjoyed. Anything by this author is exceptional!
