#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLERNo one knows you like your sister. She can make you laugh or break your heart with a single word. And no one writes novels like Kristin Hannah, an author who vividly explores the intricate bonds of family and, as Tami Hoag said “touches the deepest, most tender corners of our heart.” Now, in her rich, captivating new book, she creates an indelible portrait of two … indelible portrait of two women, once lost to each other, about to come together in a time of exquisite joy and almost unbearable sadness. Sisters by blood, strangers by choice, each stands at a crossroads, ready to confront the betrayals of the past. . . .
BETWEEN SISTERS
Meghann Dontess is a woman haunted by heartbreak. Twenty-five years ago she was forced to make a terrible choice, one that cost her everything, including the love of her sister, Claire. Now, Meghann is a hotshot divorce attorney who doesn’t believe in intimacy–until she meets the one man who can change her mind.
Claire Cavenaugh has fallen in love for the first time in her life. As her wedding day approaches, she prepares to face her harsh, judgmental older sister and their self-absorbed mother. It is the first time they have been together in more than two decades. Over the course of a hot Pacific Northwest summer, these three women who believe they have nothing in common will try to become what they never were: a family.
Tender, funny, bittersweet, and wonderfully moving, Between Sisters celebrates the joys and heartaches that can only be shared by sisters, the mistakes made in the name of love and the healing power of new beginnings–all beautifully told by acclaimed author Kristin Hannah.

“Between Sisters” is simply, and perfectly, entertaining…the author draws the reader into the story and doesn’t let you go. This book is as entertaining as could possibly be.
it really wasn’t up to Hannah’s writing style.
I loved this book. Kristin Hannah always develops wonderful characters that make you want to continue reading. I have never been disappointed in one of her books!
Not quite finished yet, but I’m counting on a happily ever after. Spent the entire weekend reading. Enjoying this book immensely.
A wonderful tale of two sisters who grow apart after a difficult childhood with a narcissitic mother who ends up deserting them to fend for themselves. Megan takes over raising her younger sister Clare until it becomes too much. Later in life, Clare is raising her little girl, Allie, with the help of her father, who she met as a preteen. Megan is …
I love Kristin Hannah’s books. All I need is to see her name and I’ll buy the book. But this was far-fetched and predictable.
You know when you’ve read a good book, so good it makes you cry? Not just happy tears, but tears that hurt, make you feel every conflicting emotion there is. This is one of those books.
I picked up a copy of this book in a second-hand bookshop, delighted to find an early book by this talented author.
Kristin Hannah has written some of the most …
I would actually rate this one 3.5 stars. It had a good plot, lots going on in terms of loss, dealing with past, healing and hope. It was a bit slow in the beginning but took off. Easy to follow and everything was buttoned up in the end. Claire and Meg sisters that have really only had each other to depend on but grew apart when Meg (mom figure) …
This is the story of sisters Meghann and Claire. Meghann – who is quite a bit older than Claire – practically raised her little sister in their younger years. Their mother – an actress that was gone more than she was home – left Meghann to figure out how to feed Claire and care for her. Gone usually just a few days, their monther once …
I love Kristen Hannah. I read this book years ago and loved it. My favorite Kristen Hannah book? The Nightengale…….superb.
I always enjoy reading a Kristin Hannah novel and this one was no exception. Loved watching Meg’s character evolve. Don’t want to give away the ending so I won’t elaborate but If you have a sister, or even if you don’t, this will be an enjoyable read!
Kristen Hannah is good with words. Her books are good and sometimes surprising
I have read other books by this author which I enjoyed much more than this particular title.
Predictable and the sex was too graphic. Didn’t expect such descriptive detail in the bedroom from this author.
Enjoyable read. Somewhat predictable, but honest portrayal of dysfunctional families righting some problems.
A little too “romance novel” – an easy read, but didn’t stick with me.
Good, but not as good as some of her others!
I recommend any book by Kristin Hannah. She’s a great story teller.
Love this book!
Definitely one of the authors early works but still entertains
