And the brooding piano prodigy isn’t offering it.
We just want one night to forget the rest of the world.
His touch sparks a fire like I’ve never felt, His kisses are intoxicating and unforgettable.
But it’s the tenderness in his eyes that leaves me spellbound.
I share secrets with him I’d never told anyone else, his arms a safe haven where I want to rest forever.

I love this book! Dylan Allen has outdone herself with Between Now and Forever. This story is sexy, full of angst, and unexpected twists and turns. I was hooked from the prologue and could not put this book down. Is it November yet because I need book 2 now?!
Elisabeth is an adult but her father doesn’t treat her like one! Her choices are made for her until one day she sneaks off to a party and meets Carter. Carter is vacationing with his family when they meet. Carter and Elisabeth are both attracted to each other but will anything happen?
“…Beth? Yeah, that’s what the men who loved her called her..”
I honestly could not put down this book until I finished it, and now I am wanting more!!
This is the first book in what is going to be an epic trilogy by Dylan Allen.
This is the beginning of the story of Elisabeth and Carter.
Elisabeth is trying to be what her family demands of her. She has been the victim of unspeakable horrors and yet she finds a way to downplay them or blames herself for them! My heart bleeds for this character!
Carter is struggling to find his place in the world, he too has been dealt with some revelations that have rocked him and he is trying to process this.
The world that Ms. Allen creates, the words she uses to paint the pictures is phenomenal! You are going to get your heart broken in this story, I cried and I felt anger for the injustices that have been done. I am cheering so hard for both Elisabeth and Carter.
You are going to be submerged in this story, in the town of Winsome and the lives of both Carter and Elisabeth. This story is just the beginning, and how this story ends just wow!
If you haven’t read Dylan Allen’s stories before, do yourself a favor and GET THIS BOOK!! You will not be sorry and you will fall in love (and hate) with the characters and the world she creates!
I was eyeballing the whole book the entire time. This book had left me speechless and utterly fascinating. The young love between Carter and Liz were the dream that I didnt want to wake up from. It was a total kismet when they first saw each other. The total fireworks of emotions!
Liz, the broken Princess had been living with pressure and complicated family. She is the young soul who was stuck with a difficult situation. I was drawn into the spiral emotions and choices were everything this book was. It was heart breaking and messy.
Yes, I adored love story with fairytale feelings. This love was young and reckless. I cant stop the feelings and its a smile. The story had flown like a river with no ending. It had all the vibes and absolute page turner.
Epic!
This is book one in The Forever Trilogy, and if this installment is any indication of what’s in store, it’s my top series for 2019!!
The writing was smart, strong and powerful. Intense and thought provoking, the author took me on an enthralling journey where I experienced all the feels and left me longing for more!!
The story of Beth and Carter is a deeply emotional and passionate romance. However, as their story developed and evolved, I learned it was a much deeper and complex one.
Theirs is a story of love, family and acceptance.
Their story articulated all the parts that make up love, the good, the bad and the ugly.
I cannot wait to see what’s next!
“So…Daddy is like a mango?” “Yes. Daddy is my mango!”
10 stars!! Holy hell!! All the angst! One of my top 10 reads this year!!
Between Now and Forever is the first book in The Forever Trilogy. Book one gives you a glimpse into the beginning of Carter and Elisabeth’s story. It is everything…sweet, filled with angst, relatable…I could seriously go on all day because it gave me all the feels!! I can’t wait to see these characters and their story mature and develop. Elisabeth is completely ready to blossom and really find herself…
The woman who lives inside of me is a galaxy of color, light, strength, and power hurtling through space looking for a place to call home. She won’t settle for anything else.
Please, please bring on book two and fast!!! I need MORE! Dylan Allen you are a master of words and I bow down to you! I can’t help but fall in love with each and every one of your stories.
This first book in the trilogy sets us up for a really good storyline and may turn a smidge taboo also. But I can’t elaborate there for fear of giving too much away. This one kept me up late because it got so intense.
Dylan Allen has brought in elements that make this story about more than romance as well. Human flaws, outcast, female I justice, sexual assault, abuse are just some of the topics being covered. These stories all come with a life lesson to bring much needed issues to the forefront.
Liz and Carter need each other more than they realize, and both are fighting their own demons. But outside elements are just stacked against them in so many ways. However they are setting things up on the chessboard and it’ll be very interesting to see how the pieces will be played.
There are definitely a few people I’d like to see get their comeuppance and I’m horrified of the life Liz has been made to endure. I’m ready to go through the heartbreak these two are bound to experience to get to one another. I’m so intrigued by Carters family dybamics and let me say he’s quite the dirty thinker/talker. Its bound to get all kinds of hot in here next.
Between Now and Forever is Book #1 in the Forever Trilogy and tells us the start of Elisabeth & Carter’s love story. It is an emotional contemporary romance. There are so many layers and aspects to this story. It has so many feels. The characters and what they go through will touch you on so many levels. Neither Carter nor Elisabeth have easy histories. Each one has struggles but in different ways. They both have families who place unrealistic pressures on them. Their love story isn’t easy and there are many bumps along the way. I did love their connection. Their chemistry sizzles. I can’t wait to see if /how they overcome the many obstacles standing in their way.
There was a twist/cliffhanger at the end that I predicted but it was still a shock to have it confirmed. I can’t wait to see how it plays out. I enjoyed this book from start to finish. It has a great plot. Carter and Elisabeth have that once in a lifetime love, love at first sight vibe. The is a considerable amount of angst in this story so be prepared. I have many questions that still need to be answered, and can’t wait for Book #2!!!! I highly recommend reading it.
****ARC generously provided in exchange for an honest review.****
What an incredible story. Fate brought Elisabeth and Carter together in an instant, life tore them apart. Both of them have a heavy load and expectations pushing them down and on paths away from one another. I can’t help but keep wishing that the timing is right for Beth and Carter. Elisabeth hasn’t led the happy life she envisions and us willing to trade her soul now for her future. Carter is questioning all he has known and is searching for answers. This is a story of hope and love. I cannot wait to read the next installment.
In my most loving way, I just wanna say, I hate you Dylan Allen for writing such a roller coaster book!
I need book two like yesterday, lady!
This book leave me with all the feels. My emotion going high trough out this book. And I can’t put it down! I wanna savour it and read it slooooowly but I just can’t and left finish it in one sitting!
I’m trying so hard not to be a spoiler here but omg it’s so hard!
First of all, I wanna burry Beth’s father and grandma
And then can I just be Beth bestie cause dangit she needs one! She’s a strong girl. You know there’s a saying. Being strong doesn’t mean fighting back all the time. Being strong too mean being able to take the hit and keep standing to finally fight back. And that what Beth do.
The way her family and people around her treats her is bullying in the meanest way. And it’s heart-breaking to see how Beth see her self because of it.
One thing about Dylan Allen writing is she always have mission. For me, in this book she wanna say beuty is in the eyes of the beholder including our own way seing our self.
And to be strong and unique and beautiful in your own way, not those bullies ways.
Carter is..i love this man from the prologue already. His and Beth chemistry is …ah you can just feel it from that first page.
This trilogy would be epic if this first book would be the indication. Their love story is not easy. Lots of rocks and cliffs. Storm coming in with the ending in book one. Angst gonna be thicker.
But I believe in Beth and Carter. I believe they will be strong no matter how hard.
Rated 4.5 Stars
Between Now and Forever was great. It has a feel like a historical romance but it’s very much contemporary. There’s an ugly duckling vibe to it as well, which I love. It’s also angsty, twisty and had me totally invested so much so that I can’t wait to read the next book in the trilogy. I highly recommend it.

How it’s possible, that after reading first paige, You want to cry, because You feel in whole body – THIS STORY will You left speachless… will left You heartbroken… BUT will heal You in the same moment ???? I was expecting it could be good book and good series, but WOW! I wasn’t prepared properly, for this kind of EVERYTHING. Ahhh it was such an emotional ride !!!!! Standing Ovation for this author !!!! Bravo, Mrs Allen, hats off Gentlemen, Dear Ladies hands down, Between Now and Forever is nothing less than masterpiece!!!!
I’m only worrying about one important thing right know – HOW Marta aka very impatient reader WILL SURRVIVE TILL LAST BOOK in this series ?! I want whole story now, so so bad !!!
Between Now and Forever is such a beautiful love story. It isn’t fairy tale, but we knew it already from the blub… All twists, ups and downs have been write in very thoughtful way. This author knew exactly how to lead her characters.
I felt every laugh, every single one tear that fell down, passion, desire, anger, compasion and love so strong that could only hurt.
Carter and Elisabeth couldn’t be more perfect. They are amazing together. I loved how they interreact with each other since the begining. I want to read about them over and over again. Waiting for another book will be torture, but for them and this author I will survive !
CAN’T WAIT FOR BOOK 2!
I pretty much read this 5 star story in a single day. When I had a moment I would continue reading until I had no choice but to put it down.
This is part of a trilogy so there are a lot of characters that come play a role. I don’t want to spoil anything for the readers.
This was a page turning experience that had me hooked from the get go. A very angsty kind of story. It’s quite an addicting page turning story. A beautifully executed storyline. I wanted to throw my kindle a time or two. Amazing characters that made me root for them as well as wanting to kick some asses.
This is not a standalone, but part 1 of a 3 book series. Told in a dual POV. I strongly recommend this story. I can’t wait for more.
5 It’s Only the Beginning Stars
Okay so I’m just going to start this by saying this book wrecked me and I’m sad that the next book doesn’t come out until November. Dylan has created such a heartbreaking story that you can’t help but feel all the emotions that the characters are feeling. From the start you are pulled into the story and you can feel her words wrap around your heart and slowly, as the story progresses, those same words tighten and tighten until it’s hard to breathe. I broke down multiple times during this story, so much so I had to stop and take a minute to collect myself.
“Look at that…. Rainbows.” He smiles and wipes a tear off my cheek. I cry so infrequently that he always says my tears are as rare as rainbows.”
My whole heart ached for Elizabeth. Her family and what everyone in that town has done to her is just so hard to read. I just wanted to reach into those pages and comfort her and let her know that she is perfect just the way she is. From the start this girl shows an immense amount of strength, despite what life throws at her she still finds beauty and forgiveness in her heart. I just loved her. There were times during this that I wanted to throw my freaking Kindle across the room because of what people did to her. Especially that douchebag Duke (Pardon my French, but the guy is legit a fucking Dick). I wanted to punch him in his ever-loving face! Elizabeth loses her last tether to happiness in such a way that it breaks her and because of this her father uses it to control her even more and make her feel less than he already did. I seriously do not like her father AT ALL, he too is a Monster!!! He is someone else I wanted to punch. He is a freaking tyrant and I can’t even begin to articulate how much I don’t like him. But Elizabeth meets Carter and he’s her sunshine when everything else seems grey.
“Her eyes hold mine like an azure lasso for a brief, mad moment. I want to tell her how adrift I’ve been.”
Carter is lost for his own reasons and is just trying to get his life together when he meet’s Elizabeth. Their connection is immediate and so very strong. It’s like they find something in each other that they didn’t even know they were missing. He’s sweet and broody and covers up his emotions by being a flirt and not delving too far into serious territory. But he’s also struggling so much and looking for something, I’m not even sure he knows what he’s looking for. These two are so beautifully broken.
“It’s death by a thousand heartbreaks and there’s not a single part of me that’s not bleeding.”
I’m pretty sure Dylan tried to rip my heart out, and honestly mission accomplished. This story tore me to shreds, I physically hurt for these characters. My heart and my mind were a complete wreck while reading this. The world that Dylan created was so beautiful but at the same time so tragic it hurts! I can’t wait to see what happens as the rest of the story plays out. Because even though you know some things, the journey is what you’re ultimately waiting for. And I can tell this journey is going to tear my heart to shreds and then slowly piece it back together.
Beth and Carters story…… I just simply could not put this book down.
I was engrossed from the very start. Dylan at her best.
It’s a very powerful story and the first in a trilogy, I was left wanting so much more.
The daughter of a powerful and rich Texan, Elisabeth has no control of her life. As she’s approaching her 21st birthday, she’s want to experience the life she sees others lead. Then one night everything changes.
Carter is a musical prodigy with a wild past that’s still haunting him, he’s trying to bring his life together, avoiding all that’s brought him down in tyts past. Then one night he meets his “cheesecake” and everything changes.
These changes come with heartbreak.
This story so far has highs and some very very dark lows, I can not wait for the second book……I need to know.
There are no words to express how much I loved this book. It’s pure Dylan Allen at her very best.
I was instantly hooked from the prologue, and I already knew I was in absolutely in love with Beth and Carter. This book was full love, angst, beauty and turmoil. It was completely compulsive and absolutely unputdownable.
Beth is stuck in a world that she doesn’t deserve to be in which was heartbreaking. Carter carries his own turmoil which is also so sad.
I dont want to give away much of the story to not spoil your enjoyment when you read it.
Dylan has produced yet again another beautifully written story that has captured and tore my heart out at the same time. That ending, BOOM it has left me begging for more.
I am a major superfan of Dylan Allen and this book did not disappoint. Her work is wonderful and gets better every book she writes. If you are new to her writing (if not, where have you been) your in for a real treat.
Between Now and Forever is book 1 of the Forever trilogy. I give this book 5 stars. It is most definitely a MUST READ.
Happy reading.
I don’t do spoilers but I have to tell you from the first page of this book I knew I was in for something special. Not sure what I thought I was going to read but how this story develops had me from the get go. Such a unique start. The idea of stopping from finishing this story in one sitting was not an option. It was a fast read and it’s really good. This is part of a trilogy so I’m not spoiling anything by telling you that. How I wish it wasn’t right now. Patience is not one of my strong suits. So to the author I say,”Please hurry up”.
Within these pages you get many feels, some really good, some not so good. What I will tell you is that it lives up to the expression, “Things are not always what they seem”. Have to tell you there is a moment in this book I was like, “Huh”?!!! I lived the moment of,” expect the unexpected”while reading. It explained more than I was expecting at this point. Yes, it shocked me! There’s a lot of mystery I’m trying to figure out. Can’t wait to see if any of my deductions are accurate.
One of the best parts of this book in my mind is the fact we get to witness that out of bad stuff can come good. Sometimes it comes at a price, but hopefully it does come, even if only briefly. It points out that when needed we can exist on memories and hope.
Carter, is a tortured, talented soul. Beth is killing me at every turn. She seems weak at first but seriously, she is a strong, resilient girl. My sympathy knows no bounds for these two individuals. Their chemistry is intense. The amount of stories between the two of them seems to be expanding. I so want to talk about this book but it wouldn’t fair to the author. So again I appeal to her to please not torture me for too long.
Normally, I say there are good and evil characters in a book, which there are. However, the evil characters in this book to me are loathsome.
Well I really have to stop because I’m torturing myself. I will tell you this is not my first book by this author however, this is a whole different level of writing for her. Have to tell you I am a fan. So if you’re ready for some heartbreak, mystery, intrigue, angst, a few smiles a this point and a heart full of hope I’d say go for it. This is like a fractured fairytale. If you read this book you’ll see what I mean. So go ahead, read this book, and see what I mean!
What a story. Dylan Allen’s latest novel Between Now and Forever was an engrossing and gripping story that will have you hooked from beginning to end. This story will give you all the feels as this novel takes you on a roller-coaster ride of intense emotions throughout the story. The characters were complex and well developed and will touch your heart in so many ways. The chemistry between them was undeniable from the moment they met and you will be rooting for them as the story progresses. With so many twists and turns this novel will have you at the edge of your seat and will leave you with a cliff-hanger you would not see coming. OMG… I need the next book now. Between Now and Forever was a fantastic emotional story that shows the characters struggles, heartache, love and leaves you with a message about loving yourself as your are. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.
This book! Talk about a rollercoaster of emotions! The prologue of this book anticipated an HEA, but the journey this author takes you on will make you want to pull your hair out, scream, and possibly even throw your Kindle.
Elisabeth is so so sheltered. Extremely naive and heartbreakingly forgiving. Most of the angst in this book is due to her family, not Carter. This girl desperately needed a best friend to help her out.
Carter is pretty damn perfect when it comes to him and Elisabeth. He has his own issues in life that steer him down different paths, but when it comes to him and “Beth” he’s downright swoony.
This is one of those love stories that you want the HEA to SO BAD but it’s a trilogy so you know there’s more angst coming in the next 2 books. Thankfully they release relatively close to each other so we don’t have to wait long!
