Really liked both the H/H characters. Both were strong and likable characters. The book was action-packed and kept me turning the pages to get to the end. Enjoyable read.
Like the other two books in this series, this one is a must read.
This is Ben’s story. We met Ben in “Recipe for Disaster” and he made a memorable impression. Ben is an agent in the Secret Service. He has a special talent with computers and is known to be a straight arrow. Well that is until he has a chance to work with his old prom date who ran away from him.
Quinn Darby is a photographer and uses her skills as a cover for her work as a spy. But when she runs into trouble, she goes looking for the one man she knows she can trust her life with – Ben. But the man Ben has grown into is not the same Ben she remembers from high school.
Ms. Solheim always writes well developed, multi layer characters who have issues that need to be resolved from previous encounters. But that is always the set up for any novel. It is a special talent that is able to take and engage you and make you stay up way too late to finish the story. You want to see the end but you also want to savor the story. Don’t worry, you can sit back and read it again after you finish it the first time.
This is sadly the final book in the Men of the Secret Service series but it can be read as a stand alone. Maybe we will see Women of the Secret Service from Ms. Solheim in the future…
I did receive a copy of this novel in advance from the publisher in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
It’s finally Ben’s turn to find his someone! I just wasn’t expecting his someone to be the girl that stood him up for Senior Prom. Or to find out that he’d been searching for her since then. Quinn Darby is full of secrets, but the one truth she can admit to is how important he is to her and that she would do anything to prevent him getting hurt, again. Everyone thinks that Ben Segar is just a computer nerd, but he has secrets of his own. When their jobs put them on a collision course, Ben and Quinn are reunited and forced to work together. There is more at stake than meets the eye, but can the two of them open up and trust each other with their secrets and find a second chance?
I love Ben and Quinn! There was so much depth to the characters and the action started on the first page, twisting and turning until the satisfying conclusion. I loved revisiting the characters from the first two novels in the Men of the Secret Service Series, but it can be read as a stand-alone novel. BETWEEN LOVE AND HONOR by Tracy Solheim was a novel that I did not want to put down. It was the perfect escape. The only downside I can see is that the series appears to be over.
Thanks to the publisher for an advanced copy of this novel. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

Now that I’ve read Between Love and Honor I’m reminded of how enjoyable this author’s work is. This is my first romantic suspense from her but I have read small town and sport romances by her in the past so I probably shouldn’t have needed a reminder LOL but it was like 5 years ago and I read a lot.
Anywho, I loved this story. The suspense was on point and the romance vs suspense was evenly distributed within the story. They both weaved together to make a very captivating read. Ben and Quinn were great characters with excellent chemistry. The story itself is edgy and twisty (not dark) and it will keep you on your toes. I’m not sure if I read super fast or the story itself was so energetic it went by in a flash, but it was over before I knew it and I jumped back into the series with Recipe for Disaster!!
Gosh I loved this book!
The author got me with a few plot twists! Love it when that happens!
The plot hit all of my favorites: tech, boat_living, family strength, and strong independent women.
Admittedly, I speed read it, staying up WAY too late because I couldn’t put it down. But the upside is, I get to re-read it and follow the details to the twists!
Highly recommend !
Stay safely socially distant and read a great book series.
I received this arc from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the final book in the Men of the Secret Service series. I did not read either of the first books and didn’t feel lost. I really enjoyed this suspenseful second chance romance of Quinn and Ben. Both characters were very likable as were Ben’s two best friends and their ladies. Ben is a secret service cyber agent, possessing extreme skills that allow him to successfully interact in the dark web. Quinn was supposed to be Ben’s prom date many years ago but ended up standing him up. Ben was heartbroken as he didn’t know why she ghosted him, leaving town with her parents. We learn that Quinn is also a secret agent/spy but her loyalties are not immediately revealed.
At the beginning, there is a party at the White House with the president and various delegations from many countries are to attend. There is a Russian man, Alexi Ronoff who is a person of interest to be watched by the secret service. Much to Ben’s surprise, he arrives with Quinn, who he has been searching for for 13 years. Quinn is also an amazing photographer and she is using that role to hide her true intentions toward Alexi. There is a micro card with valuable information on it that Quinn believes Alexi to be trying to obtain. Quinn’s mission is to get the card before Alexi is on to her. She realizes that Alexi didn’t get the card and it must have so how ended up in Ben’s tux pocket. Ben had a micro card of his own with his Voyeur operating system that he was demonstrating to his boss.
Later Quinn seeks out Ben to try and retrieve the card with the list on it as she fears he is in danger from Alexi for having it. She has no idea all of Ben’s secret duties and responsibilities. He catches her trying to look around his boat. She says it’s to talk about the past. He has to do some work so he agrees to meet her later. When he gets back he includes her in his dinner plans with his friends. She sneaks away to his boat to look for the card and ends up being attacked by Alexi and his goons and left for dead. Ben realizes Alexi has stolen his Voyeur card, thinking it was instead the list.
As the book continues, we learn bits and pieces about Quinn’s past, her current role and about the missing cards. The book is very suspenseful. There are a lot of admissions between Quinn and Ben concerning their feelings for each other and their hopes for the future. There is romance and angst, some twists that were a surprise. I give it 5 stars. I went back and got book 1 to read now too. I highly recommend this book.
With all the books available in the world doesn’t it say something that after reading this book I went and bought book 1 & 2 in the series It was just that good.
This is Ben and Quinn’s story they first met when they where at school in fact they where lab partners maybe that is where the chemistry began because believe me these two have chemistry but they also have a lot of secrets Quinn needs help and the only person she trusts is her old friend Ben but he isn’t the fun guy she remembered no now he is all alpha secret service and enough to melt your socks off Can he help her can she let her guard enough for him to help her and will they finally get the future together they deserve You will have to read to see
Between Love and Honor by Tracy Solheim
The Secret Service’s number one cyber asset, Special Agent Ben Segar, has a reputation for playing it straight…until his latest assignment has him cozying up to his runaway prom-date. Now, he’s willing to break a few rules to get even. And closing in on a cyber terrorist at the same time makes his revenge even sweeter.
Quinn Darby has spent a lifetime paying for her parents’ mistakes, including being forced into an arrangement to help a known counterfeiter. Determined to find a way to finally set her family free, she turns to the only man she can trust. Soon, she and Ben are embroiled in a tense cat-and-mouse game and Quinn realizes her heart is at as much risk as her life. She’s always regretted hurting the teenage Ben, but the full-grown Alpha-man Ben is a whole different animal and impossible to resist.
As the hunt for the missing link to the case intensifies, so does the heat between them. Ben has sworn to never again let Quinn have a piece of his heart, but it may be too late. Soon Ben is risking even more—his job, national security and his life to give Quinn the freedom she desperately seeks.
This is Quinn Darby and Ben Segar’s story.
The photographer pressed her back against the hard stone of the building, doing her best to fade into the darkness. Several pairs of boots stomped along the cobblestones in pursuit. She held her breath, willing them to pass her by.
They didn’t.
As silently as possible, she released the safety on her handgun and let her training kick in. But just before they rounded the corner, a voice cried out in the distance.
“She went this way,” a male shouted in French.
“Do you have it?” the nun asked quietly in French.
Ben Segar swore in frustration as he tugged at the eighteen inches of silk wrapped tightly around his neck. He was a former army ranger and trained Secret Service agent with advanced degrees from MIT and Stanford, for crying out loud. His fingers could dismantle an IED, fire a kill-shot accurately from fifty meters, and bring a woman to ecstasy in two minutes flat. Yet tonight, they couldn’t seem to wrestle a damned bow tie into place.
“Hey, Boy Genius, allow me.” Secret Service Agent Christine Groesch tapped him on the shoulder indicating he should turn from the mirror and face her.
Between Love and Honor by Tracy Solheim is a 4 star book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy.

Between Love and Honor
Men of the Secret Service
Ben and Quinn have a past going back to high school. She was his moon and stars to his little geeky heart. Fast forward 13 years and Quinn can still knock Ben off his axis. Ben is the cyber security expert for security service and homeland security, while hanging out in the White House. Quinn has been in the spy game for years, now that it has collided again with Ben her world has been turned topsy turvy. A great spy must have no one in their lives, unfortunately the heart wants Ben.
A well developed series with characters that the reader have grown to love. Tons of twist and turns in the plot, that makes the reader go yeah did not see that coming. I adored seeing past couples from the men of secret service series. I can’t wait for more in this series.
Another great addition to the Men of Secret Service series, Between Love and Honor is a suspenseful, page-turner you will not want to put down. The characters have great chemistry which gives the story a continuous flow. Add to it some steamy scenes and a thrilling, twisty ending; this was everything I enjoy in my reads.
A fantastic romantic suspense that will keep you turning the pages way late into the night. A second chance romance between Ben and Quinn that started in high school. The chemistry ( they were lab partners) that they shared then and now, is hot off the pages. Love the banter that they share. The descriptive writing by Ms. Solheim, makes you think you are right there. Plenty of suspense, intrigue and mystery, makes for the perfect read.
This is the third book in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I highly recommend this book along with the series.
Between Love and Honor is the third book in the Men of the Secret Service by Tracy Solheim. It is so true but still so surprising how our past drives our present situation. That is the concept that Ms. Solheim explores with Special Agent Ben Segar. It is also astonishing how Quinn Darby had to keep readjusting her view of Ben.
This is the best book I have read written by Tracy Solheim. The characters are so complex with so many secrets, that are revealed layer by layer. Then there are twists you don’t see coming with danger, suspense romance and yeah, more suspense. Just a page turner from beginning to the surprising conclusion. Two thumbs up for this thrilling romance.
While it is complete within itself especially for Ben and Quinn. I think reading the past books would enhance the reader’s view of Ben considering his co-workers. However, there is not confusion or feelings of having missed something if you haven’t read the previous two books.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I loved this book series ,it keeps me on edge of my seat with all the espionage and action, romance involved,Between Love and Honor was no different.I honestly didn’t want this one to end.
I have a keeper shelf for Tracy’s books she is a wonderful author and her books never disappoint. This book was full of friendships, romance, suspense, and a little humor also. I loved this series and was so happy to finally read Ben’s story. Ben and Quinn had a wonderful story to tell and as always Tracy gave them many layers to like and sometimes not like so much. This book is a great stand alone read that never feels like you are miss anything if you haven’t read the series. Once you read one of Tracy’s books you will want to read them all.
True love can stand the test of time and distance.
The scientific/computer high school geek fallen in love with his lab partner and he was sure she felt the same, especially after agreeing to be his prom date. But alas fates would interfere tearing them apart before it could happen so instead they would have to be just thinking about each other until one night they would met again.
Secret Service Special Agent Ben Segar has never truly recovered from his first true love but that hadn’t stopped him in becoming very successful in what he did for a living, becoming the top cyber asset. While doing his job one night he was very surprised to see a familiar face on the screen….his first love. While she might have run out of his life once, he is not going to let her do it again, no matter what the cost, including his life.
Quinn Darby photographer by day, spy by night, had been leading an interesting life. She never imagined that everything in her past, and I mean EVERYTHING, would all come full force one night. From seeing her first love to someone wanting her dead..so she has a decision to make. Can she trust Ben to help her sort it all out while keeping part of her life a secret or does she disappear from his life again never answering the questions.
Both have big secrets that they do not want to reveal to the others, but they might just have to in order to not only save their own lives, but stop something major from happening in spy world.
Love and Honor is Tracy Solheim’s third book in the series Men of the Secret Service. It is one where you can actually read it by itself and then go into the series. Love is something we always wish for, Honor is one thing we always need to have. So the title matches the characters and the characters match the title. It is a great book to read, not just once but several times. I might be saying that because you may need to do some speed reading just to find out what happens and then go back to reread it slower so you can truly enjoy it.
Wow.
Every book in this series are masterpieces with exquisite detailing that makes the world of difference in such action packed books.
I’m sitting here bleary eyed but grinning as I was so engrossed in this book I lost track of time and didn’t stop reading until I crashed out.
Think this was my favourite of the three but I love them all.
Hope this wasn’t the end of the series as I’m not ready to say goodbye.
5 stars
Between Love and Honor is my first book by Tracy Solheim and I was enthralled! I’ll definitely go back and catch up on the Men of the Secret Service series!
Ben might’ve been a mild-mannered, geeky guy growing up but now his brain isn’t the only thing making a name for itself. He’s now a hotshot cyber security expert for the freaking President of the United States! Devastated by an encounter from his past, Ben is shocked when that same girl turned incredible woman pops up in the White House beside a notorious person of interest in a new case. When Quinn’s life becomes more and more dangerous, Ben must decide if breaking her heart like she did his is worth losing her all over again.
Between Love and Honor was a fantastic book chock full of suspense, intrigue, humor and loads of sex appeal! Author does an amazing job of crafting characters the reader truly cares about and roots for over and over throughout! I cannot wait to go back and catch up on this series! Definitely a new favorite author for my list!

I enjoyed this espionage romance, with the addition of the two previous couples the circle of friends has widened and the fun banter increased.
Ben Segar was such a sweetheart and yes he might be a computer geek but he has his own alpha elements too. I thoroughly enjoyed his character in the story; so super intelligent, so hunky and so sexy. Quinn Darby was equally as great a character. Okay. I will fess up, it annoyed me a teeny tiny bit that she kept slipping away. However, I understood her need to and it was imperative to the story. Together they made one fantastic couple with explosive chemistry.
The ‘JamesBond’ references are fun too, especially seeing as so much of the story was set up with similarities like the advanced technology and gadgetry used.
Some good twists in the story to hold you interest and with a hefty dose of action and drama the story is extremely entertaining and enjoyable.

Secrets, lies, romance and suspense made this a hard book to put down.
When Secret Service agent Ben Segar is reunited with the girl who broke his heart in high school, Quinn Darby, he had no idea she was now a British Intelligence agent and they were both looking for the same thing, a micro card containing a list of agents who worked for the Phoenix, a legendary spymaster.
Ben and Quinn end up working together, but there is still a lot of mistrust and unresolved feelings between them making their job a little more challenging. It was fun to see them work together against the bad guys, but it was also fun seeing how they learned to love and trust again.
The author did a great job creating characters that I wanted to know more about and an entertaining story that had a lot of twists and turns making it hard to figure out how it would end. I like unpredictability in this genre and this book didn’t disappoint. Even though it is part of a series, I feel it can be read as a stand-alone.
