Unexpectedly and tragically Lily Gibson has lost her husband. She’s not handling it well. Easton Tyler is starting over. He and Lily have an instant attraction neither of which are sure how to approach it. The widow trope can sometimes be hard to navigate, but their story is done well. There aren’t any unnecessary dramatic events, just a realistic pacing of getting to know each other, growing into their feelings and the developing relationship. Easton is a dream with patience and understanding he earns Lily’s trust the right way. Lily is smart and caring and mature in her grieving, wants and needs. It’s a beautiful story of life and love.
This is my first Nicole Richard book so I went in without having read the other books in this series. I loved the parts of the story that flashed back to Tyler and Lilly and his letters to her were heart wrenching. I was confused about him being a pilot when he never went to pilot school or even had a college degree, since that is not possible, but not a deal breaker- the book is still very good. There is a difficult to deal with situation in Lilly’s life that Easton deals with like a champ, and he has more patience than I ever could muster to help Lilly deal with her past and move on with her future. I downloaded the sample first and once it hooked me and I had to know what happened once that ended, I knew this was going to be a must read. I give it 4 stars and look forward to reading more from Nicole.
I loved this one. I have to say it was the best one in the series. So full of emotion heart wrenching moments. I loved the tender moments between Easton and Lilly. Amazing story line amazing characters with amazing chemistry. Nicole blew me away with this one
Highly recommend.
Until now, sadly I had never read any stories written by this author. When an opportunity presented itself, and with an intriguing blurb, I decided to give it a chance. This 5 star story was so beautifully written that it consumed my mind, heart, body and soul.
Lilly’s life has been turned upside down, she’s uncertain how she can move on from that. After a year as a widow, her sister and a letter encourages her to try to move on. That letter will turn her world apart yet again. A chance meeting, in a cemetery, Lilly gets captivated by the honey coloured rustic eyes of Easton. From then on, she as choices to make, move forward or live in the past.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED every single word, phrase and pages written for this wonderful journey. It’s so much more than a story. Grieving in subjective, each one goes through it differently. It’s a process that needs to happen at the person’s pace.
This story captured my undivided attention from the blurb to the perfectly written epilogue. I read this story almost none stop because I just couldn’t seem to get enough. A beautifully written story about loss and finding one self again with an amazingly executed storyline. The storyline was unique in a way because of Lilly’s forces and inner dialogues that made me love another character.
In order for me to love and connect with a story are the characters. I need to connect, feel what they are feeling. If they make me shed one tear than that story deserves all the stars in the sky. All the characters in the story where perfectly crafted. Secondary ones had a huge place in the development of the story. But for most I adored Lilly and Easton.
There was never a dull moment, it was not overloaded with drama and angst. It was just rightly paced too. Bottomline is that this is a must read.
Although this is the fourth book in the She’s Beautiful series, I never felt lost or I was missing something. So I believe it can safely be read as a standalone. Story told in a dual POV with an HEA. I pretty much melted in a puddled with the amazingly written epilogue. Read the bonus chapter too, it’s all worth it. I STRONGLY recommend this story.
