Between Friends #5 – Of all the books in this series so far, this is my favorite. It’s nonstop Rae and Tommy rule the relationships so far as the best. Not only were they the best loving laughter and love. Well written, the storylines blend in with other characters from the series, but couple with a deep friendship to strengthen their love, but the support characters were good, too. Rae’s mom was my favorite, outside of Tommy and Rae. They were just perfect together with and without Mom.
The dude sat through countless chick flicks voluntarily by himself. Even I consider that punishment for me, although there were a couple of those movies I liked. George was a good touch to the story; everyone needs a grumpy, furry sofa cover. This is just a feel good romance between two people that started with a deep friendship without knowing the depth was their love for each romantically too. I contacted the author to review her books and this has been an enjoyable series. 5*
After the Night #1 – This is my first read by this author and I had fun reading it. Don’t care too much about this age group (twenties), but Sandra did a delightful job telling this story about two “ugly ducklings” that haven’t turned into swans yet, or two nerds actually that are perfect for each other. After having a cute meet at the company’s Halloween party, she tries to find out who he is as he tries to tell her it was him. The supporting cast add to the fun of the story. There’s even a mystery to boot. Well written, funny and full of goofs, clumsy actions and misunderstanding. Needs minor editing. 4*
Across the Street #2 – Perfect addition to After the Night. Another well written, sweet romance between Cassie’s best friend Steven and wallflower Ginny. They both need each other and have three weeks to make things work. Adding to the interesting characters are three sweet furballs of love that enhance this lovely, clean story even more. The storylines keeps the reader lost in the pages as love and confidence grow steady for this couple. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Under the Tree #3 – The fun and romance continue with this entertaining, clean romance. Ooops, she’s pregnant and he’s immature. The characters are fun, interesting and do a realistic job in trying to make things work. Good storylines that keep the reader glued to the pages until the end. The supporting characters add their touches to the story. Well written with just a touch of minor editing needed. I contacted the author to review her books. 4*
Going Down #4 – Having read the first three books, I still enjoyed reading this addition. This book is just as entertaining and delightful as the previous stories. I barely remember Ash from a previous story, but he’s a good guy, lots of fun and takes care of business. Even though what Lily May suffered through in the first chapter, the story never let LM down; she was just as funny, sweet and determined to the last page. The other characters do a great job in their roles.
The storylines, like in the other books, are interesting with plenty of humor to keep the reader involved with the characters and their antics. It’s never a dull moment with anything in this series and the pace is continuous so the stories are a fast read since it’s difficult to stop reading.
As a Southerner, I laughed at a lot of the vernacular comin outta Lily May’s mouth. “Bless your heart” is not something to say as LM used it; it’s actually a polite way to insult someone. I just wish authors would stick to what they know. I’d rather have the site be Auckland instead of Seattle, and read real Kiwi speak instead of Southern (or American) done wrong. I contacted the author to review her books and I’m happy I found this delightful series. 4*
Tommy and Rae are best friends, Rae works with Tommy at his tattoo shop. Rae has been in love with Tommy forever and of course Tommy does not realize it. Rae is using dating apps to try and find a Valentines Date so she will not spend another valentines day alone. Tommy tells her if she leaves the app alone he will give her the best Valentines Day ever. During this time Rae goes on a job interview in another state and Tommy just doesn’t know if he can live with out her.
This is a wonderful book, it does help to have read the rest of the Romance for all Seasons Books, but it is not required.
This was a fun romance comedy that pulled me in from the beginning. I loved Rae’s personality. She is so fun-loving and just looking for love. Tommy is great comedy relief in the story. I love how he steps up to help Rae through her many flops at romance. Tommy seems pretty clueless until he almost loses Rae to another man. Watching the antics and chemistry of the friends was amazing. I recommend to those that like romance, comedy, and a little steam in their stories.
Rae & Tommy are best friends. They are buddies for life. But when Rae is ready to move on with her life, she’s not sure if telling her best friend, she’s in love with him with ruin their lifelong friendship. Tommy’s always had Rae in his life. He’s never thought of her as a sister so does that mean he’s in love with her? Between Friends is the most romantic and perfect story for Valentine’s. The lengths Tommy will go to show his best friend romance is the sweetest. Pick up this wonderfully written friend to lover’s romance as the holiday of love approaches.
I loved Between Friends. It may just be my favorite story in the entire series. Rae and Tommy were a hoot! It was nice to catch up on many characters from previous stories. (Do not worry if you have not read the other books. These stand alone just fine.) Tommy was an adrenaline junkie which made for some interesting scenes. The crapstorm of romance was fabulous.! Your really need to read this friends to lovers romance. I could not put it down.
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day than with your best friend?
Tommy and Rae have been friends since forever. Their friendship is strong (or maybe codependent) but Rae needs more than just a friend. And Tommy needs his friend to stay put.
This book was the cutest of the series so far. So many nods to rom-coms and my favorite romantic movies. I liked Tommy and Rae but I can’t quite put my finger on what kept me from loving them. I can’t wait for Gavin’s story!!!! I can’t wait to meet the lady who knocks him down!
*This is my voluntary review of an advanced reader copy*
Between Friends takes one on a journey between Rae and Tommy who work together at Tommy’s Tats and are best friends. It is fun to see their antics and how much fun they have together but neither one is willing to cross the friendship line and ruin things. Throw in some jealousy and Valentine’s Day and you have a cute and fun friends to lovers story. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
I’ve been waiting for Rae and Tommy’s story since these characters were introduced in the first book and this story did not disappoint.
Rae and Tommy are the best of friends. They work together, they spending all their free time together, they do everything together. Yet, these two aren’t a couple. Rae is surrounding by people pairing up from her friends to her family and she wants that for herself and she wants that with Tommy. Tommy doesn’t see Rae as anything but his best friend.
This was a super sweet best friends to lovers romance. There was a slow build up to it and watching these two finally come to the realization that they are both in love with each other.
As always, it is nice to get more of characters from the previous books and introductions to characters in the next book.
I absolutely loved Rae and Tommy. I’ve been looking forward to their story since we met them in Jon and Cassidy’s story. Rae knew she was in love with her best friend but didn’t want to ruin things – so she starts looking at alternative options. Heartbreak for her as Tommy is always there to pick up the pieces and make her smile again and again. Tommy was a surprise – beneath all the jokes he really was a sweetheart. A completely oblivious sweetheart. There was plenty of swoon-worthy moments in the story and I was certainly yelling/teary at my kindle a few times. I loved seeing all the previous characters here and there throughout the book as well. Rae and Tommy completely and totally rocked my heart. Theirs was a fabulous friends to lovers story.
