It’s Time to Party…so of course a Dead Body Shows UpNann’s decided to continue her Aunt Nancy’s tradition of throwing an old fashioned down home witch party, complete with old ladies dancing naked around a huge fire. Good times. But when a dead body turns up before the celebration, handsome Deputy Keith has questions. Like, why are there a bunch of old girls eyeballing him…and oh yes, there’s … eyeballing him…and oh yes, there’s a skeleton in your yard…and it has a tail!
Aunt Nancy had parties in the past and someone ended up dead and buried. Did Nancy have a hand in it? Could some of the witches at the current party have done the dirty deed? And what do the sea hags have to do with this?
Pokey, Aunt Nancy and Nann’s familiar pig, doesn’t recollect a murder in Aunt Nancy’s past or is he trying to save her good name? Tink and Zinnia think Nann has a crush on Deputy Keith and could care less about the skeleton in Nann’s yard, that is until they discover they may have to pay a price with their own lives.

This was the first of this series that I read. It is different than all the other books with witches that I read and at first was not sure about it but the more I read the more I enjoyed it. I will definitely read the others in this series.
Hey Nann, will you teach me what you know? Can I have a reading list please?
Nann is wonderful, I just do not know how knows what she knows. Or how she even knows where to start researching. I am amazed.
Love this series and the characters. Might be my next favorite so far after the dreamer trilogy by this author. Love all the different cultural references to the types of creatures and magic there is.
Can be read in one sitting. Might be the last time I can say can be read without having read previous books. You will definitely want to go back and get caught up.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
A Beltaine to Remember!
Death puts a damper on Nann’s plans to host a Druid Beltaine Celebration (complete with naked dancing and burning the Wicker Man) when a 10 year old skeleton is found. Nann must solve the mystery before disaster strikes. A wonderful addition to the series. I love the zany characters and intriguing, laugh out loud situations. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is the third book in the Calamity Corners Witch Cozy Mystery series and it was just such a great read. I just didn’t want it to end. I just fell in love with these characters and getting to go along on their journey. I can’t wait to read more wonderful stories from this author.
Nann was getting ready for a party, for Beltane a Druid celebration, and yes with nude dancing. She has invited Tink, a shop goblin and Zinna a crocodile shifter and of course her familiar, Pokey. She went to examine the outdoor party space and it was overgrown, problem one. Then she finds out the Inn in town won’t let her guests book there even though they have room, problem two. When the gardeners work on the party area they find the and even bigger concern, a dead Druid, problem three. Now what?
This another good paranormal cozy mystery from the Calamity Corners Cozy Witch Mystery Series. What a great mystery, with its wonderful characters that are interesting, funny, witty, unique and well described. There is the introduction of even more unusual paranormal species which shows the creativity of the author. I enjoyed the fact that we were able to see more of the Druid culture and there seems to be some romance happening. The main mystery is fraught with twists and turns and surprises that keep you interested until the surprising climatic scene. A few more clues are given about the ongoing mystery so it makes you want to read the next book just for that. I really enjoy this series and look forward to the next book.

I totally love this series. Nann and her friends all support each other and Chip in when needed, even if they aren’t asked. It appears that Nann is embracing more of herself as a druid, which is great. This book was quickly paced in order to keep the reader mesmerized by the magic in the pages. All readers will be pleased.

Hosting a Beltaine celebration for over 150 Druid’s is stressful enough. Throw in a murder committed 10 years ago and the stress level Nann is feeling is overpowering. The local Detective works to solve the murder mystery, however, he does not know there is a supernatural element involved. The characters were great, Druids are apparently a lot of fun; Nann’s magical friends are terrific; and the Storm Hags were very scary. The plot was well crafted and the total story was very entertaining. Oh and do not forget Pokey the pig who is Nann’s familiar. Looking forward to reading more in this series.
A Druid witch, a rock band, and a skeleton make for a rollicking mystery! I had a blast reading this! There were several laugh out loud moments! I love Nann and her familiar Pokey! I look forward to more adventures!
A bit of an oxymoron. Beltaine is a celebration that turns quite a few things sideways. Marking endings and new beginnings.
The last large festival held by her Aunt was 10 years prior. Nann can only begin to imagine the work involved with such an undertaking. And face it. Druids really are party animals.
As the sacred space is getting cleaned up, a skeleton is discovered. Not the best start for Nann – certainly not the best ending for the deceased.
One hell of a party – complete with really wicked party crashers!
