Loved this friends to lovers romance between two best friends. When a cast iron tub from the second-floor ends falls through her ceiling into her living room Natalie, a pediatric surgeon needs a place to stay while her apartment gets cleaned up and fixed. She moves in with her best friend Jonah, a trauma surgeon. Sparks fly and can hide from their feelings for each other. Loved the witty banter and humor throughout the story. I loved these two together and I was cheering them on the whole way. This is a beautiful, well-written story with believable characters, a great HEA.

This is the second book in the series and I can tell you the books just get better. I just love the way Kimberly Kincaid writes. I’m normally not a fan of medical romance, but if Kimberly Kincaid writes it you know I have to give it a go. I love friends to lovers romance so I knew I would enjoy this one. Plus the ending of the first book has had me eagerly awaiting this book. I loved Natalie in the first book and this book solidifies that. I love the way she is with her patients and that she just a kind person. Plus they way she brings out the best in Jonah is special. I wasn’t prepared for the twist that came. It threw me, but it just backs up the great guy Jonah is even though he can’t see it. I’m a big fan of the camaraderie of the hospital that’s what the bring draw to this series is for me. The characters are so engaging that draw you right into their world. I’m digging the setup for future books. I can’t wait for more!
Natalie and Jonah are amazing friends. She is the ray of sunshine, always full of hope while Jonah carries the darker viewpoint, not believing love is possible for him. When Natalie needs a place to stay while her apartment is repaired, Jonah steps up even though having someone live with him, even Natalie, makes him nervous. As these two spend more and more time together through work and living together, feelings and attraction grow. But Jonah is the one-night stand guy with Natalie looking for a long-term relationship. What will Jonah do when he realizes Natalie wants that one-night with him? Will he say yes? Will he be able to keep his heart hardened from her? Or will Natalie breakthrough and melt away all his walls? This is not an easy journey for them. They both have new challenges thrown at them that they must tackle which may be just what they need to find a true forever love. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
Best friends to much more!
Better Than Me is book 2 in Kimberly Kincaid’s Remington Medical series. This book has it all! A little bit of angst, lots of internal issues, loads of chemistry and love.
Jonah Sheridan is a trauma surgeon and Natalie Kendrick is a pediatric surgeon, both working at Remington Medical. They also have been best friends for years. Jonah is known as a “no relationship” guy, so when Natalie ends up staying with him, it’s a big deal! Her apartment is … well there’s now a bathtub in her apartment that isn’t hers! Hopefully, her apartment will be renovated quickly. But quickly isn’t quickly enough as the friends spend time together and they discover a chemistry that won’t be ignored. When the two work together to get a little girl the medical support she needs, you’ll see their relationship transform. It is wonderful to watch best friends supporting each other through everything and coming out stronger together.
I can’t wait for the next book in the Remington Medical series!
I received an ARC copy of this book from Social Butterfly and am voluntarily reviewing it.
Loved this sexy, fun, heartwarming, emotionally thrilling and action packed romantic journey from friends to so much more… filled with witty banter, loyal friends and sexy hot undeniable passion. If you are looking for a sexy fun and exciting medical romance than look no further you found it!!
I am new to Kimberly Kincaid and Better Than Me was so enjoyable. Loved this storyline. I am a big fan of friends turning into lovers! Jonah is stunningly gorgeous and a major playboy with trust issues who has no plans to ever settle down. Natalie is his best friend who needs somewhere to stay temporarily and is looking for someone to share her life with. Sparks are flying when she moves in but nothing can happen between them because they are best friends or can it work???? They have such great chemistry together and both have baggage from their childhoods. I love this dynamic between them and all of secondary characters. I was so invested in them and the twist at the end was heartbreaking. I am looking forward to reading more from this series.
I am a huge fan for friends to lovers and Better Than Me pulled me right in to the fictional world of Remington Medical ! Jonah and Natalie have been friends for years . They are both hot shot doctors at the top of their field . When a housing crisis affects Natalie she coerces her only friend that has room to let her crash on his futon. Jonah wants to avoid the way he feels when he looks at Natalie and that has been easy for him when they each slept in different house but now she is way to close for comfort. Jonah has always been a ladies man but he knows that Natalie is the only woman immune to his charm…..or is she !!?? They have an amazing friendship but have both been avoiding the inevitable the attraction for one another that they have both been hiding . The angst and inability to admit their true feelings is not all their is to this couple . They have a deep respect for one another and once the true feelings come to surface their is no stopping the flood of emotions that may run over them. This truly a stand alone and you will have no problem picking up this series with Natalie and Jonah !!
Loved them !!!

Natalie’s girls nights have me cracking up and wishing I had more of my own. Her love for children, especially her patients, had me tearing up at points. Jonah is the epitome of a dream doctor, and brought back my crush on Doug Ross from ER, lol. He’s suffered heartache and doesn’t want to put his heart on the line ever again.
Better Than Me is like my ultimate dream episode of Grey’s Anatomy! I love the chemistry between the main characters and their strong friendship with each other. I wasn’t able to put this book down once I started and was even listening to it in the car (quietly in the drive-thru, lol). The development between the characters, and as individuals, happens at the perfect pace and I couldn’t have asked for a better story!
Once I learned why Dr Jonah Sheridan acted the way he did my heart melted for him. This book in amazing Dr Natalie is Jonah’s best friend and when she has no place to live he offers her temporary lodgings. I could see the writing on the wall. I can not express how great this book is! I love that that it’s a series and this author an exemplary way of keeping a spotlight on the main characters while feeding as delightful bits from characters of previous and future books. It’s a joy to finish reading a book and have a smile on my face.

Jonah, trauma surgeon, hospital hunk and perennial bachelor, and Natalie, pediatric surgeon, have been best friends for the last four years. Natalie gets a phone call and she and Jonah go to her apartment to find a cast iron bathtub has taken up residence in her living room. After much begging, he lets her stay with him which is a problem because no woman stays over, ever. Hmmm, familiarity breeds ? Read it and find out. I love medical stories. I enjoyed this book as much as the previous one about Parker and Charlie. Well written with no dragging so you can read it straight through.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book
In this second book in the Remington Medical Series, we meet a few new characters and reacquaint with previous ones from Book #1.
Natalie Kendrick is a Pediatric surgeon, with a special affinity for sick children. She herself was diagnosed with Leukemia as a child and has been in remission for several years.
Jonah Sheridan is her colleague and best friend since Med school. He has a serious commitment problem, but not an issue for Natalie, she cherishes his friendship. After a freak accident leaves her upstairs neighbor’s bathtub in her living room, Natalie needs a place to stay, and Jonah reluctantly agrees. It’s not that he doesn’t want her there, he just likes his own space.
Things in both their lives start to heat up, patients, work and feelings.
Laughter, tears and some tense moments make this a wonderful read!

Hot sexy romance exciting action wonderful happy ending
Oh my goodness, this book was so good! Do not miss this one!!! If I could have put life on hold and read this one in one sitting I would have. First it starts off with Natalie Kendrick, a pediatric surgeon who always looks for the silver lining, finding a cast iron tub in the middle of her living room after it crashes though her ceiling (good thing she was not home at the time). Now being virtually homeless, because she refuses to stay with her overprotective parents, she moves in with Jonah Sheridan, a trauma surgeon and her best friend for years. Could close quarters bring on more than platonic feelings and the underlying arousal both feel with the familiarity soon escalate and…yea, this was one of the best books I have read in a while. Add in all the witty banter and secondary characters and I’m surprised my kindle didn’t ignite because I was turning the pages so quick to get to the next one. Definitely a recommendation from me. I would deem this a standalone since I didn’t read the first one in the series and was not lost, although I’m going to pick it up and catch up with these characters.
Starla spent an amazing night with Levi but left as quickly as she could. Starla is always on tour and thought it would be better for everyone if they left things alone. Levi was devastated by her leaving and never calling. When she takes a forced vacation, will their be a second chance?

This is the first book I have read by the author, a medical contemporary romance that I thoroughly enjoyed. Although this is book two it can be read as a stand-alone and I am definitely going to read book one as well as I love the other characters that were featured in it.
Natalie Kendrick is a thirty-two-year-old paediatric surgeon, a dedicated doctor who is well loved by her patients. Her sweet and bubbly personality, her idealism and her dedication to her patients especially to one little girl makes her the perfect heroine in this book. “I believe in the kind of love where you give the other person the last bite of cheesecake without thinking twice. Where you laugh when they’re happy, and you ache when they’re sad. Where you’re not two halves making a whole, but two wholes making something bigger, that only the two of you can make.”
Jonah Sheridan is not only a skilled trauma surgeon but is also known as the Orgasm Whisperer amongst his colleagues. When Natalie, his best friend and fellow surgeon needed a place to stay because of a minor accident in her flat, Jonah had no choice but to offer her his place. It may not be a wise move though when their platonic friendship started to develop into something else. Living together albeit temporarily suddenly becomes uncomfortable and when he finds out about Natalie’s biggest secret, he needs to decide in which direction to take their friendship.
This friends-to-lovers romance, one of my favourite genres, surprisingly gave me more than what I hoped for. Not only does this book give you Natalie and Jonah’s epic love story, but embedded in it is the healing of a relationship between father and son, a doctor’s special connection to her patients and lovable secondary characters that make this more than just a romance novel. There are no antagonists in this story but rather one or two life-changing situations that happen to one of the main characters.
Jonah and Natalie’s connection from day one and how they dealt with the drama that happens in their lives makes their story special and so emotional. I loved that this author made her characters engaging and face adversity like proper grown-ups: by communicating and listening to each other. It felt a bit strange that the epilogue is from a minor character’s point of view so I am guessing that it will be his story next. I am thrilled that I found another gem of an author. I highly recommend this book!
I love a good friends to lovers romance story and I have hit the jackpot with Better Than Me!
I liked the writing and character development but more importantly, I really liked the characters and their friendship that grew into a relationship simmering the sexual tension that had steam rising from the pages.
This story had a slow burn build up even though they both were thinking about the other in a ‘not just friends way’, but l loved watching Jonah falling and he doesn’t even realize it. When he finally did accept the fact he was attracted to her, he continued to fight his feelings until there was no way for him to win the battle.
He was jaded from his past and afraid of being burned again, so he figured why bother.
When Natalie trusted him enough to ask him to be her first he worried about damaging their friendship but his attraction to her drove him to give her what she wanted. They had the chemistry burning hot between them so now Natalie just had to convince him that he is worthy of love and should take that leap of faith. But life had other ideas and now it was Jonah’s turn to prove that they needed each other through good times and the tough ones.

Friends to lovers – check; sexy doctors – check; steamy chemistry – check; another awesome book by Kimberly Kincaid – check, check, and check!
I absolutely adored both Natalie and Jonah and loved watching them fight and then finally give in to the chemistry between them. I loved the fact that they were best friends, for me it added a whole other dimension to their relationship, especially when they would call each other out on things. These two both have issues from their pasts that have shaped the who they have become, and I think without the background of their deep friendship, having them move their relationship forward just would not have been so believable. Underneath his “one night stand” persona Jonah is a deeply caring man, and I loved that he so wanted to take care of Natalie. And Natalie always knew just how far to push Jonah and the questions to ask him to get him to think about his past and his future, especially surrounding the relationship with his father. But in the end, the fact that these two always had each other’s backs made their relationship so special – even if it did take a bit for them to realize just how special together they were!
I always love when characters from other books add to the story, and there was no shortage of support offered by the staff from Remington Medical. I really loved watching Natalie’s relationship grow with both Tess and Charlie, offering her support and advice and just being there when she needed some girl time. And watching them all rally together at the end to get Jonah and Natalie to their happily ever after was a perfect way to wrap up this story.
Kimberly Kincaid has a wonderful writing style and she makes it easy to get lost in one of her books. Her characters are always a bit on the intense side when it comes to the emotions, but she always makes that work while keeping the angst to a manageable level. My only small complaint with this one was the twist at the end, it almost seemed to me to be the easy way out, and I would have loved to have seen something a little different and less predictable – but even with that, I think this is one of my favorite Kimberly Kincaid books that I have read.
Another great read by Kimberly Kincaid that I would highly recommend!
Kimberly Kincaid had my complete attention from the first page. If Friends and Grey’s Anatomy married and had a baby, it will be Better Than Me. And I am hopelessly utterly in love with the story!
I admit I had an additional wow factor for me personally in the story. Being a doctor, hospital based romance involving two best friend doctors holds a special place in my heart. And the author nailed it totally. Both the lead characters and the secondary characters were absolutely real and relatable. The medical facts and scenes were so beautifully written.
Jonah is the trauma surgeon and Natalie is the pediatric surgeon in the same hospital. They have been best friends for years but only now they have to start living together after an accident in Natalie’s apartment. The problem? The thoughts in their heads are not very friend-like. They start a mega effort of fighting attraction and suppressing emotions until it explodes spectacularly. The best friends to lovers slow burn journey was so delicious, enticing, sensual and heartbreaking. Jonah is the perfect man. He is gorgeous, giving, protective and a bit scared to commit. But natalie changes it. And Natalie is one of the strongest woman I have ever read. Her determination and tenacity cover a soft, compassionate, vulnerable and loving heart. And the chemistry was something else. My heart was overflowing with all the sexy, sweet, sappy emotions!
Kimberly Kincaid has attacked my heart with her beautiful words and intoxicating storytelling. And I could not help but surrender! Better Than Me is a perfect romance with all the swoon worthy heartwarming goodness!
Received ARC for Honest Review
This is one hot romance when friends Dr. Jonah and Dr. Natalie move from friends to lovers when her apartment is damaged and she moves in with Jonah. He is the love them and leave them where she believes in love and is willing to wait for it but they never expected the attraction they had for each other.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Let me start with saying that Jonah, the hero of this story is MINE!
Now that’s clear, I can honestly say that Kimberly Kincaid has written a friends to lovers’ story that was absolutely unputdownable and one of my favourite reads of the year. Big call, but just wait till you read Jonah and Natalie’s story and you will understand why I say this.
I love, love, loved this story so much. It’s one of those stories that you immediately move to your favourite’s shelf and tell anyone who will listen that it’s a MUST READ. Yes, it’s one of those books.
You will fall and fall hard for the sexy doctor aka the orgasm whisperer Jonah and the beautiful spirit that is Natalie. Together they will make you laugh, swoon, be hot and bothered and gasping NO and flinging the book at one point as you watch them cross the line from best friends to more and beyond.
I loved watching Jonah and Natalie fight falling in love, grow closer as they do and drop the guards that have made them who they are till now.
I must mention the side characters in Tess and Connor that almost steal the scene more than once but in doing so make the story so much more addictive and entertaining.
It’s really hard to write this and I’ve had many attempts at doing so because I don’t think I can convey how fantastic it is and how skilled at writing characters that not only feel real but also a world that you can get lost in and furtively wish was real. I would so apply for a position at Remington Memorial in a heart beat just to watch Natalie and Jonah interact with each other, its magical.
I’m hanging out for the next book already which is a good sign to me.
