Loved the whole wedding planner scenario, with the bridezillas and MOB-zillas! A job I would never want. Well developed main character, and funny friends and business peers. Light and funny, and yet a great underlying mystery to solve.
Such a fun beginning to a really cool series based on the author’s actual experiences as a wedding planner in the Washington DC area. Love the characters and the behind-the-scenes look at weddings, plus the murder mystery of course.
This is a good cozy mystery about a wedding planner, her cater, and her assistants when they become involved in a murder that occurs just before the lavish wedding dinner that they have prepared. Characters are real and funny. You will have a good time reading this one. I am looking forward to reading the series, but this book stands alone.
A fun easy read.
Easy,fun read.
Very enjoyable, light reading and no bad language.
Great read. I really enjoyed the characters.
Great easy to read summertime book. Enjoy!!
I really enjoyed the characters. A fun cozy mystery that’s just a little off beat.
I enjoyed read reading Better Off Wed. It is a humorously written mystery about a wedding planner, the quirky characters she works with and customers who drive her crazy with their unusual requests and sometimes abysmal taste. I’d never thought about how diplomatic you must be to make even difficult people satisfied. The murder of the overbearing and pompous mother of the bride during the wedding sets the stage for the main character to play detective since a friend is being accused.
It was funny, well written and held my attention. Many laugh aloud parts to it–would like a few more free books in the series.
It was an enjoyable read. Great for a light read
Fun to read as an escape. Didn’t seem realistic but fiction doesn’t have to be, does it? The characters are quirky but not overly so. I loved Lettuce and Richard. Nice, quick read.
Great characters
The setting makes it an interesting read and gives insight into a different career choice
