Sometimes the actions are worth the consequences.I was never supposed to go to the Between. I was never supposed to fall in love with Caius. And yet, I’ve done both. Since stepping through that portal, I’ve done a lot of things I never thought I would.Like coming face-to-face with a god. Or encountering the one person in all the worlds I didn’t want to meet. Or having a fairy floor me with just a … floor me with just a few words and realizing things are a lot more complicated than just stopping the Lost.
Everything is changing, secrets are revealed, and something that shouldn’t even be possible has become reality. I never imagined any of this could happen. My imagination was clearly lacking.

The prophecy is almost complete… nothing is guaranteed! Danger at every corner. Friends and Frenemies unite! And Jo’’s father makes an appearance Also, A few Gods come to help#HadesIsAwesome!!! the final battle is yet to come! Cant wait for the next book !! #PNR#Romance#Jo&Caius##goals#revelations#demons#Angels#Reapers
So much happens in this book! Jo has become one of my all time favorite heroines. She overcomes so much and continues to grow and get stronger. Cauis is definitely a dreamboat! This story has it all and the narrators do a fabulous job of conveying the emotional roller coaster that this book takes you on!
Listened to the audiobook!
This second book in the series is just as good, if not better than the first. As the title suggests the theme of betrayal runs through various threads in the story. It is a unique, thrilling and sometimes heart wrenching story laced with action, battles, deceit, romance and prophecy. As the war prophesied by the Morrigan seems to be drawing nearer and nearer, Joe, Caius and their allies continue to try to find a solution to the Lost, while at the same time having to fight for their own survival. The romance between Jo and Caius deepens in this story and there are a few surprises and revelations that often create more complications than solutions. I loved how Joe has begun to fully embrace her power and how new aspects of it are being slowly revealed. I also love the cat and can’t wait to see if she has a bigger role to play in the next book. The narrators of the audiobook, Suzanne T. Fortin & Zachary Johnson, did a great job for bringing the story to life and giving the characters individual voices that suits the characters well. This is a fast action story with characters you easily become attached and an ending that leaves you dying for the next in the series.
4.5 stars, and probably better than the first book. We get a lot more of the other characters in this book, and the story is that much better for it. Jo’s friends, and Caius’ family play a much bigger role. And the relationship between Jo and Caius becomes stronger as they have to work together to uncover what’s happening to the lost souls. There are secrets revealed, and one big betrayal, and in between it all, the story continues to move at a good pace and be interesting to follow. There’s a particularly big reveal towards the end, as well as a big plot movements, no spoilers here, though I can’t exactly say it was a complete surprise, it definitely makes things that much more interesting as we wait for the third book. I for one can’t wait to see where things will go from here!
THE JOURNEY CONTINUES
This is book 2 of the Raven Daughter series. Caius and Josephine, Jo, have been through near death experiences and are continuing their journey to save the Lost souls that are disappearing as soon as a person dies. Their journey is one of epic proportions as it is affirmed that Jo is the prophecy mentioned by Moragan. This is another cliff-hanger.
