Truths are revealed, betrayals, unexpected twists, a rivalry between families and a cliffhanger that left me speechless. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
Give me a moment and let my hands stop shaking and my heart to slow down. What a read! Ella Miles has outdone herself this time. The ultimate game for the Black Organization is set in motion. What happens to the loser? Emotions are running high right now and I know I’m probably jumping around. I’ve tried to give a review without giving any spoilers and I keep deleting my sentences. The most honest thing I can tell you is this is a dark, gritty, powerful story that will not leave you untouched. Ella Miles’ characters will suck you in and you will feel each and every emotion as they are being displayed before you eyes. I can’t recommend this book enough.
OMG. This book is definitely my favorite of the two with Kai and Enzo showing how much they really care for each other… Yeah I am soft. Also, um… that ENDING?? I really hope Enzo finds a way to fix things before anything worse can happen.. I want Trapped by Lies now, I need it!

This is the second book to this series or third if you count the prequel. This book is of course the continuing story of Enzo and Kai and their journey to what I hope is a HEA. What a crazy journey these two are on. This story keeps the twists, turns and emotions reeling. Of course we end on a cliffhanger and we have to wait for the next one. But it is so worth it and then some!

Another installment in this story, this ends on another cliffhanger and the series really does need to be read in order. This installment is so intense, it’s also dark and includes betrayal as well as steamy scenes. There are so many twists and turns that I was left constantly re-evaluating what I thought I knew and where I expected the story to go next. Impatiently waiting for the next book!

Book 2 in this series Betrayed by Lies starts off just where we left in book 1, Taken by Lies. First Enzo and Kai are just hot and sizzling with such obstacles in their way. This book was so awesome. And so many truths cone out from Kai and we finally understand what is going on. This rivalry between their families to be a Black. But the twists and turns just keep on coming. And the end of this books reveals another truth to Kai and then another betrayal but no spoilers here. You need to read this dark, intriguing romance. Cannot wait for the next book in this series. This book just blew me away with all the reveals. (less)
The series continues … a dark and twisty version of Romeo & Juliet lovers trapped in a Hatfield & McCoys-type family rivalry. Story momentum is still strong for enemy lovers Kai and Enzo, despite the setback succession of shocks from the couple’s “truth and lies” game where lies can be better than truths, and truths worse than lies. All the twists and turns left me speechless and stunned. Not sure my heart can take any more without imploding because nothing is at it seems, and the unpredictability constantly keeps me off-balance. Just when I believe one thing, the truth shifts once again about what Enzo knows, the implications for Kai, and where the endgame will lead both of them. Enzo holds the keys to Kai’s freedom, but she stands in the way of him claiming the empire. Their tenuous truce and admitted attraction must take a backseat to what comes next.

A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. This being book two in the series, both cliffhangers, so you may want to wait until they all come out to read at one time. A duel that Kai and Enzo are put through in this dark and intense story you just cannot put down. Plenty of twists and turns along with betrayal and surprises. A must read series, by a great story teller.

What the hell did I just read? The I book grabbed me and wouldnt let go. Enzo is just Enzo theres no words to describe him. Kia is proving to be tougher than I thought. She reveals the biggest secret to date. This story has everything twist, turns, darkness, lies, truths and so many secrets. These characters are lovable and maddening all at once. If you love a good book hangover this is definitely for you. If you haven’t tried an Ella Miles book drop what you’re doing and buy a copy ASAP!
This is definitely a book you need to read the previous ones to better understand what’s happening! Oh my!! My heart was racing through parts of this! I can’t wait to read how the rest of the story comes together!

This is book two in the Truth or Lies Series. The story is dark and complex with characters beyond believable and memorable. Both Kai and Enzo have absolutely devastating childhood backgrounds. How either of them have the ability to overcome the horrors and devastation done to them amazes me. This book ends in a huge cliffhanger, but also reveals two unbelievable truths. This series is probably the best I have ever read. Absolutely terrific read!

Betrayed by Truth picks up right where Taken by Lies left off. Enzo and Kai must now play the game . . . . winner takes all. Enzo refuses to Kai win and Kai isn’t sure what she wants. The love/hate between these two is so intense it makes your stomach hurt. I understand why Enzo is so twisted, but I’m still on team Kai all the way. The ending of the book was a total “Oh sh*t!!!” moment!!! You won’t see the ending coming at all! So now, Ella Miles, back to the writing cave because I need the rest of Kai’s story ASAP!!!!
EXPLOSIVE, ENTHRALLING
Betrayed by Truths, Truth or Lies Book 2 by Ella Miles is mind blowing and spectacularly explosive. Once again, this author has exceeded expectations with her exceptional writing and story-telling. Never knowing what to expect, this series keeps getting better. It’s gripping, raw, dark in it’s sensuality and psychology.
I love everything about this book (and the series so far), but most especially the characters. These two are so very deep and complicated not to mention strong as all get out! Kai is both vulnerable and resilient while Enzo is just as vulnerable while trying to balance the monster he is/can be and the protector he is at his core. Then when you consider the plot – the situations and circumstances – they find themselves in and you see how truly dark and diabolical this book and series truly is. It’s nearly impossible to put down the deeper one gets into the gripping scenes. They are literally one right after the other.
Overall, this book is a completely captivating and exceptionally well written book that has me on pins and needles waiting for the next book of this amazing series. I can’t wait!
