I cant believe this is actually a debut novel! Just the opening 4 lines gripped me and pulled me in and it never let go all the way through. It’s a Mob story but not in the sense that a lot of mob romances are… This girl does not need rescuing. There was one part when I was ready to throw my kindle, and if you read it, which you really should, then you’ll know exactly what I mean.. but luckily it went the way I really needed it to. I now have a major book hangover and will definitely get the next one the minute it becomes available. Well done Bo Reid for such a stunning and engaging first novel.
Dark, Deadly & a Damn good read!!! Morana is one hell of a character. Blood-thirsty, violent but also loyal & loving (in her own way). Shes surrounded by her family of Reapers & her brothers (If not by blood) Nash, Ranger & Hunter. They enforce their own brand of justice for her father. Normally a violent one. Good god this is brilliant full of betrayal (as the book title suggests) family, loyalty & sex. Its a great read from start to finish. Cant wait for book 2
This book was amazing, i read it in one go and was sorry to see it end. But holy hell what a journey Moriana and her reapers make, got to love them for not taking any shit from her and standing by her side. Love me a badass MC who doesn’t need rescuing but just love!! Can’t wait to read the second book!!!!
Betrayal: The Reapers Book One does not disappoint. Bo Reid draws the reader right in from page one. Not only does she draw the reader in, she creates a world that I want to live in. It is so good that I have actually reread this book twice now, and I normally don’t reread until the next book in the series comes out.
*Her main female character, Morana, is a badass who not only can handle herself but also the ones she loves. In Morana, Reid has created a character who the reader can love and emphasize with. Surrounded by her Reapers, Ranger, Nash, and Hunter, Morana is the glue that holds them together. Now, on to her Reapers. Each man has a distinct personality that is uniquely them and makes them easily recognizable from the other. Her characters are full, distinctive, and fully-realized. Giving multiple POVs was a great choice on Reid’s part. Even just a small glimpse into heads of the characters adds that much more to the story itself.
*I love dark romances and Reid did not disappoint. Her storytelling was dark without being unpalatable. Rather than violence for the sake of violence, Reid has a purpose for everything.
*Betrayal: The Reapers Book 1 is a fabulous beginning into the dark and twisted world that Morana and her Reapers live in. The ending, the ending was perfect but holy crap Reid has me on edge for more. I normally hate cliffhangers but I am here for this one.
