Betrayal is the most painful blow to bear, especially from the one you love most. The time has come. Valis is ready to finally join the Aesriphos ranks in an official capacity. The only thing standing in his way is his joining night with Tavros. But with nineteen days left before their marriage, Valis and Tavros are fighting to retain their sanity. Strange things keep happening, intent on tearing … on tearing them apart. And no matter what Valis does to find the source of their anguish, he’s blocked at every turn.
Incessant nightmares, visions, and heated arguments strain their relationship to the breaking point, and harrowing events escalate in number and severity. Valis is forced to watch helplessly as the evil shifts to focus its malice on Tavros. And with every mind-bending incident, Tavros creeps closer and closer to the ultimate betrayal.
Valis and Tavros must marry to join the Aesriphos Order if Valis has any chance at rescuing the lost god jar. But if he can’t find the source of the insanity, he may lose Tavros forever.
The M/M romantic elements in God Jars is a very slow burn. The God Jars Saga contains explicit material including violence, abuse, and M/M sexual encounters, and is not advised for anyone under the age of 18.

This installment will certainly put you through emotional wringer. Seems like everything is against Tavros’and Valis’ marriage. They are plagued with visions and strange and damaging events and it seems that the powerful enemy is doing everything in their power to break them apart, but who is it? It looks like, whoever they are, they might succeed. Brilliantly written as all of this addictive series is. I usually hate cliffhangers, but not in this case, because I know I won’t have to wait for resolution since all of the books are published. I’m eagerly moving on to the last trilogy.
This is the third story in the second trilogy. It’s time for Valis to join the Aseriphos, but he must join with Tavros first. Valis is having horrible nightmares, visions and things are tearing Tavros and Valis apart. There is mystery and suspense galore. Well written, strong characters, and fantastic story line. I am voluntarily leaving a review form an ARC that I received. My reviews are solely based on my thoughts and opinions.
As the third and final book in the Purity and Control Saga this story got a really dark twist. Jealousy and envy almost made that Valis lost everything but allowing that love, forgiveness and friendship took over save his day with Tavros. The saddest book in the series, but at the end the most lovely scene gave me hope for a happy ending somewhen. Of course the unexpected cliffhanger at the end also gave a huge hint about how interesting the next book will be. I can’t wait!
I received this book as an ARC and this us my honest opinion.
This is the third and final book of the Purity and Control trilogy, or the sixth book in The God Jars saga. As with the others, the storyline flows seamlessly from Mentor, the previous book.
Something is wrong at the monastery, and Valis and Tav are feeling the effects. Strange things are happening, but not really happening at all. The pressure is on, as both Seza and Zhasina’s, and Valis and Tavros’s, joining nights are approaching quickly.
Valis is still working with the Reliquary Aesriphos, and Thyran has added a new skill to Valis’s list of lessons to teach. Visions plague Valis, both in his sleep and waking world. There is also something interfering with his and Thyran’s powers, which only adds to the stress Valis is feeling.
As life with Tavros becomes more volatile, Valis remains as outwardly calm and collected as possible. Aryn has been acting strange and is not himself, and his jealousy is coming to the fore.
The captured Qos followers locked in the cells below cause a problem that potentially could have been avoided, but Valis learns from the exchange with the help of his dad, Roba. Eventually, madness drives one of Valis’s visions to become reality, and through possible devastation, the line between desperation and madness is clear.
Eventually, Valis and Tav are brought together as husbands and become Aesriphos Valiants in true form. Valis is finally able to experience his first festival, and enjoys the games and exciting new sights. However, as Valis and Tavros start off for a ride, an ominous sight greats them; one that has the potential to break Valis’s heart into pieces.
Happy reading!

Betrayal: Purity and Control 3 (The God Jars Saga 6) by Devon Vesper is a great story that I read. This is story number six in the series and I really enjoyed reading the story. I recommend this story to everyone who loves a great stort to read.

While I loved this book, and the suspense and mystery, I also found it frustrating because of Tavros’ behavior. His lack of faith in Valis and weakness in surrendering to his fear instead of believing in love made me angry. I honestly didn’t feel like he deserved Valis’ love. I continue to enjoy Valis and the growth he exhibits every step of the way; Tavros seems to be stuck in his ways and his doubts. This is a book that really could have benefited from a dual POV. Maybe if I could have seen Tavros’ thoughts and what he was feeling, I would have had more empathy for his behavior. I hope Aryn recovers from his love obsession with Valis. Despite his weaknesses, Aryn is still one of my favorite characters. He was the first to befriend Valis, and at least he is true to his love. I look forward to the next book in the series.
