Used. Worthless. Broken. The Darlings think they won. They think they’ve beaten me, that I’m exactly what they call me–a dog.But there are things they don’t know about my family. They don’t know the lengths I’ll go to get revenge. To protect my family. To honor my name. Devlin thinks he’s done with me, but he’s wrong. I’ll never forget what he did to me, and I’ll never let him forget. Not until … let him forget. Not until I’ve had my revenge.
Because Dolces don’t break.
We break hearts.

So that car which hit me that I spoke about before… yeah it’s gone and done it again.
Crystal and Devlin’s story continues in book 2, which just adds to the angst of the plot. More and more of the story and past between the Dolces and Darlings is revealed and I’m all for it. I’m hooked on the story and couldn’t seem to put the book down. I’m stuck in Faulkner, with no escape, and I have a love/hate relationship with the Darlings.
The headache is still throbbing… just wait for book three.
With Royal missing, it’s time for the Dolce family to come together and find him. At least that’s what you would think a family would do. Nope not this one.
Crystal is still battling her feelings for Devlin and warring with her family. She wants to show them she is on their side so to gain their trust she agrees to help take down the Darlings. She believes they are the ones responsible for her twin’s disappearance.
Devlin is falling for the New Yorker whether he wants to admit it or not. He helps her look for Royal, even if that means getting his family in trouble.
Tons of emotions in this book. One minute you think they are fine and can survive being together against their family’s wishes and the next they are at each other’s throats to honor their name.
Amanda L’Obrien continues to do a phenomenal job with the narration of this series. Her accents are perfect and make it easy to distinguish between characters.
I was provided an audio ARC of the book and decided to leave an honest review.
I loved this second book in the Dark High School Bully series. Even tho Crystal is an idiot and the Darling cousins are the rottenest, cruelest guys still out of jail! How can anyone be so cruel? I was tracking with Crystal and her attraction to Devlin, because I, too, am attracted to “bad boys.” But I have to warn you, these guys are way beyond bad!
I was given an Audible version of this book from Story Origin. This is my voluntary review.
The narrator does an excellent job performing these characters. Nice job.
Anxiously awaiting Book 3.
I’m not gonna lie here, I did the bad thing. I barreled through this series like a prize bull at the rodeo. There was NO stopping once I started. Good for my reading streak, bad for a timely review. Kicking myself. Let me tell you right now, no matter how much I pack in this review it will NOT cover everything nor do the series justice. It was THAT good and THAT expansive in its content. I couldn’t possibly say for sure what happened when because by the end of the series so much had taken place. So here we are with the dreaded series review rather than individual books.
This series centers around Crystal the ‘princess’ of the Dolce family and Devlin Darling. Essentially we get the city girl plunged into a small town left to decide if she will continue on the path that she had grown to resent or if she will finally break rank and become the woman she had dreamed of being. Meanwhile her family has one goal, end the Darlings. She’s left torn. Stay loyal to her family, or to her heart?
Guys, these characters were INCREDIBLE! Not just our mains but the side characters through the whole series. There were happenings in the background that had us constantly piqued and craving everything they could give us and more. Each of them were facing their own battles of morality, their loyalties, and their need to be true to themselves. These pages bled conflict. They seeped unrest.
By the end of the series I was completely swept away. I was NOT ready for the end. I NEEDED to see how they all came out. And guess what? THERE’S MORE! Yeah! I had NO idea that there is a series after this one that centers around some of the remaining characters from Willow Heights. And believe me, you will be dying for it.
This series will leave you one of two ways at the end. I wouldn’t dare speculate which one nor sway you with the possibilities. I will just say, if you don’t read this one, you WILL regret it.
*review for audible version*
I’m dying here! That ending! I need the next book in the series on audio ASAP! This story is dark, gritty, delicious, and captivating. I’m transfixed with the way this narrator brings this story to life. The narrator takes on Devlin’s perspective well when his parts pop up throughout. I was completely invested from beginning to end. This author has created a world that I can’t get enough of. Just fantastic listen overall!
Betray Me (Willow Heights Prep Academy: The Elite #2) was another great read by Serena. The Darling’s believe that they won against Crystal and her family. They treated Crystal like a dog and did everything they could to break her. Crystal will do anything to get her revenge. Crystal will never forget what Devlin did to her until she gets her revenge. I enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read more in this series.
The twists and turns in this book was outstanding, it made a fanyand high emotional read. You’ll love the characters one minute, and then hate them the next (in the best possible way). This dark romance story just keeps getting better and better and will have you so engrossed in the story that you’ll be finished before you know it! Loved it!
Too good! This story is, to me, really heartbreaking. In the end I truly like Devlin and feel bad for him. There is obviously a lot more going on than meets the eye. These families really hate each other
This series just keeps getting better and better. This installment is even more dark and twisted. Crystal must deal with the fault of her actions in this book. She wants to be true to her family but at the same time feels drawn towards Devlin. This book broke my heart. I felt so many emotions while reading this book. This story is a heart breaking read and I loved every second even though that ending broke my heart. I need the third book right now!!!
WOW! Where do I even start!?! I was on the edge of my seat this WHOLE BOOK! The suspense was killing me and I loved every minute of it. The bullies are some of the meanest I’ve read but that only makes me love it more. When Crystal captures Devlins heart I was on pins and needles to see what he would do about it. The drama between families was intense and has you second guessing everything. Are the Darlings really the bad guys or are the Dolces hiding something? I am DYING to find out!
I volunteered to read an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and to submit an honest review.
Crystal’s twin, Royal, is missing and no one knows where he is. Crystal and her family are sure the Darlings are responsible.
Crystal and Devlin are magnetic towards each other. When Devlin is around others, especially his cousins, he is cocky and refers to Crystal as “his” dog and he can treat her however he wishes. Yet alone with her he is a different boy as he’s tender, loving and caring. Living next door to him, Crystal never knows when Devlin will appear in her bedroom.
The drama builds in Betray Me the longer Royal is missing. A full-out battle brews between the Darling boys and the Dolce boys, each family trying to outdo each other to declare the own Faulkner and the high school. Personal property is destroyed and there are serious injuries.
The Dolce males are not happy with Crystal seeing Devlin but decide she is in a position to gain knowledge they need to find Royal and to take down the Darlings. No matter how hard the Darling boys try to break her, knowing that that will hurt her brothers, Crystal bounces back and stands her ground.
When the drama comes to a head, there is a standoff where Crystal is to deliver final psychological blows to take Devlin down and prove her loyalty to her family while Devlin tries to be loyal to his.
Betray Me is an excellent Book 2 following Bully Me. Definitely a must read to get ready for book 3.

This book has the same effect the first book did..and much to our dismay this one ends with a cruel Cliffhanger too..Fast paced, raw and intense gripper.Cystal matures a lot and watch her stand tall despite all she went through was super emotional..So many emotional moments in this book.cant wait for the next book.

This book. My heart. I loved and hated every second of this one. Crystal is just…gah. She’s so strong. And I’m a total sucker for Devlin. Oh! And the theories! I never come up with theories but man. I can’t wait for Bury Me.
Pretty twisted and convoluted romance with young adults as the main characters.
Themes are dark, well written with a lot of suspense and intrigue, but the characters were young, selfish, and unlikeable.
The awful cliffy at the end had me wondering if I wanted to know the ending to Crystal and Devlin’s story.

*Spoiler Alert*
Book 2 starts where book 1 left off with Crystal’s (FMC) twin brother Royal still missing. The Darlings – Devlin, Preston and Colt are keeping up their game with her and more family turns up too. Preston is particularly obnoxious & some the stunts he pulls he needs a punch for. They shocked me thats for sure. The game between Devlin & Crystal becomes very steamy with all the pushing & pulling they do. Family and loyalty are a major part of this book. It keeps you on your toes and guessing when your reading it. Just love it
All I can say is this book is so good. The chemistry between the two main characters is sizzling hot. From the first page to the last was very entertaining. I read this book in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait for book 3.

This is the follow up to Selena’s first book Bully Me. We continue right where we left off with Royal (Crystal’s twin) missing after the night of the dance. Again it’s the Dolce’s against the Darlings as each family fights to gain the upper hand along with finding Royal Dolce.
Crystal is welcomed to the “adult table” and starts to see exactly who her family is. We get more interactions with her mom along with her grandparents. She begins to find out more of the history her father has with Nebraska and just how ruthless her family can be. During this process she continues to develop her friendship with Dixie, and becomes acquaintances with the Mayor’s daughter (Dolly). In this second book Crystal is not as much of a pushover as she was in the first book. She is finding her backbone, and standing up to Devlin, Colt, and Preston more. Devlin starts to waver in his loyalty to his family, and his interest in Crystal. The tug of war between the two of them is more one on one in this book unlike the three on one in the previous book. They still bring out the worst in each other, but each are questioning just how much they may be willing to give up in order to be together.
Trigger Warning: There is still a lot of bullying, and some questionable consensual sex however in this book. There is physical abuse along with continued emotional and mental abuse. This is a DARK bully book, and is fictional. If you like the dark and twisted this series continues to be for you.
Loved this original plot line. Love the fighting between families and the Romeo-Juliet-like drama. Interesting bullying tactics that keeps you on your toes.
