HartMy Prez thinks I betrayed his trust . . . but I didn’t.I did the only thing I could think of at the time. I went to the one person who just might believe my ass – the national charter Prez, Rancid. Fortunately for me, he believed every word I told him and had me lay low for a while. The plan he made was foolish at best and got me in deeper shit than I was in before. I’m a dead man, but none …
I’m a dead man, but none of it matters when my eyes see the one thing I’d gamble with.

It’s taken me a bit to get on the “Royal Bastards MC” bandwagon, but now that I’m on it, I find it to be a fast-paced vehicle with all the twists and turns a good MC series needs. “Bet on Me” by Elizabeth Knox is the first book in the Baltimore Chapter and what a great opening for this chapter of the Royal Bastards. To be honest, I can’t find it in me to like Rancid, the national prez. I think anyone of his actions should individually or in combination need to be used on him. This also makes me wonder how in the name of all that’s romantically twisted is an author going to make him the hero of any story. Ok, well, that’s a thought for another day. In this storyline, he’s made Gamble, a female, president of the Baltimore Chapter after he killed Dog, the previous prez. Like an onion, that statement has more layers than you can imagine. She’s had a hard existence within the MC life and it just keeps getting compounded. And then we have Hart. Rancid sent him to hide out until things cooled off and is now sending him to Baltimore to patch in there. There are so many twists and turns, secrets being told and kept, action, adventure, lies, jealousy, and danger …. So much danger. This is a great book to jump into the series if you haven’t started it yet. I’m certainly glad I have.
Another great read from the Royal Bastards MC Series has drop, I’ve never been so excited about a series like this. Author Elizabeth Knox killed it and I can’t wait for the next one.
Bet on Me is a Slow burn romance. Lots of danger, death, heartbreak, and surprise within these pages. The characters and story pulled me in and refused to let me go.
Marisole and Ravage were dating and he asked her to marry him but she said no because her father had given her to Scar. He abused, tortured, and pimped her out and kept her on drugs. Her stepsister Rosa went into the MC and took her then asked Ravage to help her get clean from the drugs. Great book!
Wow! Ms Knox leaves us hanging again. A sweet 2nd chance romance (well, sweet between Ravage & Marisole, anyway. Be advised, there’s some very dark elements to this story) Marisole has been through some really dark and awful things for the past 10 years after her father Rafael Ramirez made an alliance with Rage (a total tip of the pen to Elizabeth Knox for bring back 2 horrible villains as a blast from the past!!!). Rosa (Marisole’s half-sister, from Axel) and the Reapers Rejects swoop in to rescue Marisole from the terror that is her life. Ravage and Marisole re-discover a long-lost love and grow together as Marisole heals and recovers. It’s the Epilogue that totally gets me though. We know that Scar has been dealt with, but we don’t know who or how this was done. Now I can’t wait for book 5 in this series to be released so I can find out what happened. There’s also a cameo appearance by Ion Petrov (from Promised) and Vera (from Love Is War) and Boss & Cowboy (from Bossed Up). I just love how Elizabeth Knox weaves so many breadcrumbs to her other stories into her new tales. Great job!

This story gave me whiplash. The story starts off 10 years ago, then it’s present day, then it’s four years in the future. We didn’t get resolution on a lot of the issues from the story. Also, not really much of a romance, especially considering we read more about the heroine’s various rapes than we did about any romantic encounters between the supposed couple.

Marisole has endured horrible things, Scar tortured her for years. When she escaped with the help of her half sister she was taken to the Knights of Retribution. Little did anyone know that Ravage would be there to help her. Marisole and Ravage have a past. Ravage was going to Marry Marisole when they were younger. Will Ravage and Marisole finally be able to have the life they deserved so many years ago. Or will Marisoles past come back to haunt them? Read this story and find out!

Marisol has spent almost ten years living in hell, but not really loving, heroine being her escape whether she wanted it to be or not. Ravage’s heart was broken by her, but he didn’t know the truth of what happened. It was nice to see her actually have people around her wanting to help her after her rescue. A lot of characters from other MCs make appearances.

As stated there is triggers.
This is a quick story that ends with a HFN that leads into the next story. Told in both POVs. We even get a peak of Boss & Cowboy their their daughter Destiny from Iron Vex MC.
Ravage and Marisol love story will take you on an emotional ride. Their story is action packed from the first page to the end.
Marisol was the light in his dark world until she ended their relationship to save him. Marisol’s father married her off to aman who abused her and got her hooked on to drugs.
So I can’t decide 3 or 4 stars. I love this authors writing but this book just didn’t hit the spot for me like some of her other books. I’m not giving up & I want the rest of the books.
Well written with great characters and story. Quick read. Only female prez of the MC, Gamble is one strong woman who gains the support of the men and finds Hart and love. My first read by Elizabeth Knox – well done!
Bet on Me by Elizabeth Knox is well written, exciting plot, intriguing characters and captivating drama to keep you turning the pages.

This is the 1st on a new series and let me say straight away that this story is not for the feint-at-heart and may contain triggers for some readers. Hart is accused of betrayal and pretty much exiled from his club, and the national charter Prez who believes him assigns him to a new charter. Gamble has a dark past, and pain and humiliation having overcome everything that life has thrown at her has just made her stronger and has her now as a female MC President. The chemistry between these two is undeniable, and both have suffered loss which they help each other to overcome and move on with life. This is a well written intense story which is an emotional roller coaster throughout, and is filled with twists, surprises, danger, suspense, heartbreak, and action packed. I was captivated throughout this intricate and riveting tale and look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I recommend for all MC lovers.
I love the concept of a bunch of authors getting together and each writing one character’s story. I had no idea this book was included in a series like that until I went searching to try and fill in other character’s stories. It was obviously a spin off or part of interconnected books.
My review…
Told in dual, first person, POV the story starts out very dark and violent. It was painful to watch and I wondered where it would go. It ends the complete opposite of the beginning. Almost as if the author changed her mind, took a left turn and kept on writing.
I have so many questions about certain characters. I read this book in one sitting. I knew if I put it down unfinished, it would likely stay on my need to finish list for too long.
I did not hate it, but it is also not my favorite MC story. I will absolutely read this author again.
Elizabeth Knox gives readers another great series in the first book of the Royal Bastards MC with “Bet On Me”. Best way to enjoy a dark and twisted story? Relax in a your favorite chair and start turning the pages to Gamble and Hart’s story. Their story is not a sweet MC read, as readers know that any story where Rancid is involved will be raw and gritty. Although there are many OMG moments, MC readers will fall in love with Gamble and Hart as their story plays out to its own HEA. **I was gifted “Bet On Me” via Booksprout and leave my review based on my reading** 4.25 Stars!
Holy Heck! Gamble has one heck of a brutal life. She’s lost so much and paid too much.
When she is put in charge of the club, it is expected that all he** will break loose. When her club and the crew stand behind her…it’s a beautiful thing.
This story has plenty of twists and turns, drama, revenge, hate and some of it was a little dark. This was about Gamble and Hart. Sometimes when life if going the way you want fate throws you a curveball. Gamble saw her family and the entire club killed and Rancid kidnapped her and abused her sextually for years. Finally sends her away where she falls for Dog, marries him, but he gets killed. Hart needs help as his president is after him. I didn’t feel too much of a connection between Gamble and Hart. Story sorta felt like something was not finished. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is the first book in the Royal Bastards Baltimore MC series. This story started out showcasing the retribution aspects of the club in the most heart-breaking way. Gamble’s life has been so hard yet she keeps moving forward. We meet the members in her new path. Hart is the perfect foil for her-accepting & supportive. As usual, the action never stops and the pace is quick. Great start to this new collection.
I received a copy of this book. My honest opinion is voluntarily provided.
I’m not going to lie but holy heck this book was absolutely dark and had to many triggers for me but I pushed through it. It is a twisted book thats for sure. I absolutely cried a few times but it was so loss and Heartbreak And Devastation.
