Nate Reynolds is everything I shouldn’t want. Aside from being my best friend’s older brother, he’s a cocky, smooth-talking, panty-dropping playboy of a cop. And yet, I’m helplessly drawn to him.His charm and good looks reduce me to a fumbling, mumbling teenaged version of myself, which pretty much guarantees that nothing will ever come of my silly crush.Until the night of my best friend’s … best friend’s wedding.
Jenny Jones is the definition of innocence. She’s also my little sister’s best friend, making her completely off limits. She’s a forever kind of girl with hearts in her eyes, where I’ve always been more of a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy.
Until a night spent between the sheets with her has me questioning everything I thought I wanted.
I tried my hardest to stay away, but you know what they say about the best intentions . . .

What a simple sweet & perfect read! I loved Jenny and Nate from the beginning. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a sweet romance.
Jenny has had a crush on Nate forever but Nate doesn’t do relationships. Nate is also the brother of her best friend. When sister gets married, they are picked to walk together as part of wedding party. Will Jenny make a move? Will Nate change his rules about relationships?
Jenny and Nate are a fantastic pairing. You have Jenny who has a few body issues due to past interactions with people but she has a huge crush on Nate. Nate doesn’t do relationships due to something that occurred in his past. He doesn’t want to to sleep with Jenny because he knows she is a relationship kind of girl a ‘good girl’ as he puts it and he can’t offer her that. She decides she is willing to have a quick fling if that is all he can offer. Slowly these two start to have a semi relationship. Past issues come up and if they want to be together they are going to have to talk about them and overcome them together. Can’t say enough great things about this book. Do not miss out and one click it!
Best of Intentions
Loved this book! Nate doesn’t know what hits him when he realizes Jenny is this stunningly beautiful person. Jenny has to battle through Nate’s fears but she finds loves is truly worth it. Many bumps along the exists for these two. Loved this book!!! LK Farlow has written another amazing book!
Gah!! I love these characters!! LOVE!!! I needed more Nate and Jenny when I was reading Natalie and Alden’s story and let me tell you, this one did not disappoint!! I just, omg!!! If I thought I adored them before it’s nothing to how much I love this book and these characters!!
God, I love Jenny and Nate!!!!! I didn’t want this book to end!!!!! Their journey is priceless!!!!! I loved this book!!!!! L.K. Farlow you ROCKED THIS BOOK!!!!! I bow to you!!!!!
I loved this book! Nate and Jenny are amazing. She is his sister’s best friend. Their connection is real. They have a connection, realize their chemistry but from there- its a real relationship that builds slowly. He thinks he’s not worthy of a commitment. As Jenny and Nate realize there is something more- I feel in love with them more and more. LK Farlow had the Best of Intentions writing this great book!
I loved this book. The Characters are some we met in Best Laid Plans (you don’t have to read it first, but it’s awesome! So you totally should) This is Nate and Jenny’s story. I just loved how the author built their story. They had insta-lust from day one, but she didn’t just hook you in that way. She really took the time and built a solid friendship and still gave us all lots of doses of hilariously playful, and hot-like melt ya butter of biscuits, moments. I.Loved.Every.Second! It was great that she gave Jenny a real life condition like diabetes. It was such an awesome way to bring awareness to it and also teach people not to be afraid and to be sensitive. This is something that’s their way of life and you should never make them feel disgusting about it. I love that Nate never made her feel awkward or ashamed or weird, she was always sexy and his beautiful “GG” to him. Swoon Y’all!! This book has all you need, hot hero Cop and gorgeous heroine, great supporting characters. Great build up to a lasting love, no cheating, no cliffhanger and a HEA… BTW, Did I mention it was Hot? I definitely recommend this book. Happy reading
I adored Nate and Jenny’s story! So much so that I declined the chance to watch some Sam and Dean Winchester with my husband today (yeah, we’re WAY behind on that show), just so I could finish this book. Nate wants everyone to think he’s a playboy because it helps hide his guilt and shame over something that he hasn’t gotten past, but he can’t help wanting Jenny. He just doesn’t WANT to want her, because he knows that nothing can come of it. Little does he know, though, that being a good girl doesn’t mean Jenny’s a pushover or that she’s weak. Reading their progression from awkward crush to friends to finally admitting that they want their HEA together made for some serious emotional upheaval by me. I laughed, I wanted to cry, and I found my heart breaking for Nate’s inability to see himself for the good man he truly is until it was almost too late. Luckily, he figured it out in time to make everything right with the good girl of his dreams. Jenny and Nate totally earned this story and their HEA!
I loved this book. It’s the second in the series and it works. I knew I was going to enjoy it since I read Best Laid Plans. It’s a must read! It pulled me in from the beginning. I can’t wait to see what’s next from this series!
Hot Cop and Little sister’s, best friend have major chemistry. This read gives you all the feels. It is a feel-good read that will make you laugh and break your heart at the same time. Nate is the love and leaves em, one night only, no emotion hot cop. Jenny is our Good Girl she has had a crush on Nate for a while, she is a bubbly outgoing woman, but around Nate, she becomes a mess. After a one unforgettable together, these two know Nate won’t change and Jenny knows the score they become friends, best of friends. Nate just can’t let go of the past so he can move on, he thinks Jenny is just too good for him.
I love this read, it felt like I was forming a friendship right along with them. This book had such an easy flow it wasn’t instant relationship it grew and grew. Jenny has Type one Diabetes and relays on an insulin pump, It was such a new topic that I hadn’t ever read before now(which is crazy) I loved the Author went their it made Jenny an even more amazing person. We all suffer from body issues and mental health issues loved how this was brought up. I loved Nate and knew when he finally pulled his Man pants on he was going to kill it, and he left me in a puddle of goo. This book was just so so amazing. All the cops, hello please give them books.
*4.5 Stars*
This was such an enjoyable best friend’s brother romance! I devoured this story in one sitting.
Jenny is my favorite kind of heroine. She’s strong, smart, funny, and so incredibly caring. Nate is the swoony, yet a bit annoying, playboy. I loved how vulnerable he became while hiding behind his playboy exterior. I quickly fall for men who have made mistakes but also learn from them and Nate did just that. I also love that we got to catch up with the characters from, Best of Intentions.
I am obsessed with this author’s writing style. She never fails to draw me in right from the beginning and I can’t stop until I’m finished with the story. You feel every single emotion as the characters do. You quickly relate to the characters and can’t help but root for them as well. I will continue to devour every book by this author.
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
What a great story of insecurity, self-doubt, and best friends. I loved the back and forth between the H and h. You could literally feel the self-doubt and security issue each had all while they were building not only a great friendship but a fantastic bond of love. I loved seeing “Tater-Tot” and all her wisdom. This is a sweet story with ALL the feels and it will be one I will be rereading for sure!
I love when an author writes a book that reads like I’m watching a movie. Best of Intentions has everything that makes a great story. Jenny is one of my favorite type of characters, she’s hard working, sexy, sass, loyal friend to Nate’s little sister Natalie and so sweet to Natalie and Alden’s daughter Tatum. Jenny is the kind of girl every girl would love to be best friend with, but don’t mess with her. Nate, sexy cop, cocky, confident but he has a commitment phobia, that’s until Jenny Jones steals his heart. Best of Intentions has the perfect angst, laughter, sweet, steamy parts that wraps up the book into one beautiful love story. Great dialogues including caring and loving a person with diabetes. (Big THANK YOU to the author for including such a serious and complex issue affecting a lot of people. And it is done respectfully and accurately). Do not miss this book.
Jenny and Nate have an instant connection that you can’t deny. One night opens the eyes for the other, yet it doesn’t seem to move any where. Jenny and Nate take you on a fun, heartfelt and adventure filled journey. These two try to ignore their chemistry towards each other, but in moments you wonder if they will finally give in and take the chance. Nate and Jenny show each other a brighter side of life by having the other in it, but will they take the chance? Definitely need to read this story and find out what happens with Jenny and Nate.
Where do i begin with this? Well, first off I’ll start with that i loved this book. 1. Sister’s best friend with older brother. 2. Also, he’s a COP a hot one at that. That in itself was amazing. And a strike in the good column. But anyways sinceeee we read Best Laid Plans ive been needing this. Because you could just tell there was feelings brewing between these two and i couldn’t wait. Jenny is Nate’s lil sister’s best friend and boy oh boy this story didn’t disappoint. Not to we got to see Natalie and Alden and Tatum!!! Gosh i missed that sweet, intuitive girl. Some of my favorite parts in this book had to do with Tatum. I hope y’all enjoy the book as much as i did!
Kate’s books just keep getting better and better! I loved Best of Intentions! The struggle that Nate had within himself to stay away from Jenny although she was what he wanted was a constant through the book, you often just wanted to pummel some sense into him. What I loved most about this story was Jenny’s strength and being true to herself and never settling for less than she is worth! This book had chemistry, steam, humor, some drama and one of my favorite little characters ever…Tater Tot! I hope to see these characters again in the future, until then, just anxiously awaiting the next LK Farlow book!
