Love Lila’s stories! They are fun, quick reads that give you a dose of hope and laughs!
Best Man is the story of Becca and Fitz.
Becca is admirable. She is hoping to save her community, her family that she chose. And to do that, she has to do some extraordinary things. Her quirkiness makes her even more lovable and her friends are fantastic!
Fitz is a playboy or is he really? There is another side to him that Becca gets to see and he is holding a secret. He is comfortable playing a part that he has done for years. Until he meets Becca on one of her worst nights ever and she unknowingly makes him want to be better for her.
Jet setting, smexy times and bitter parents, who could ask for anything more?!?
I really enjoy Lila’s books and this one is no exception!
I’ve read each book in Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelors series, and I’ve enjoyed them all. Best Man is the sixth and final book in her Billionaire Bachelors series, and I’m sad this fantastically fun and steamy series is over. Romantic comedies based on the fake relationship trope, they’ve all been light-hearted, easy reads that were full of humor and heat but low on the angst and drama. Monroe’s writing never fails to pull me into her stories with vivid descriptions, attention to details and unique plots. One of the things I appreciate most about her writing is the way she thoroughly develops her stories, filling them with imaginative elements and interesting side characters that help to paint a vibrant picture for the reader. Building on that foundation, Monroe’s creative plots about endearing couples and their sexy romances are always an enjoyable reading experience for her readers.
Best Man was a bit of a different take on the fake fiancé storyline, and of the six books in the series, this one was the most emotional. Left at the altar by her original fake groom, Becca is in a bit of a jam when she runs into the best man at a bar as she’s drowning her sorrows in tequila and fries. A devastatingly handsome Brit, Fritz, listens to her tale of woe and offers to step in. Fritz has worked hard to cultivate his reputation as the notoriously carefree playboy everyone knows him to be. But Becca sees past all of that, beyond the façade he shows the world, to the kind, thoughtful man beneath the surface. The heat between Fritz and Becca was fiery, and while it may have started out as a business arrangement, there was no faking their chemistry—or the very real feelings they both were developing. But millions of dollars are hanging in the balance, and not everyone is buying the new couple’s story.
A humor-rich plot and a sexy, sweet, swoon-worthy romance about a couple I was pulling for from the start, I smiled the whole way through Best Man. This book was a fantastic end to a series full of entertaining, amusing, fun-to-read romances. Best Man by Lila Monroe gets 4.5 smooches from me!

This is the sixth book in the Billionaire Bachelor Series centering around Olivia Danver’s unique matchmaking agency for the rich and famous. If you need a fake girlfriend or fiancé to impress the boss or get your family off your back, this is the agency for you. The one rule is no hanky-panky (though that rule seems to be more of a suggestion in this series). While the first five books have a male Billionaire hiring the agency, this installment has Becca, a non-Billionaire doing the hiring. Becca needs to be married in order to inherit the apartment building she lives in. If she doesn’t get married, the building will go to the greedy nephew of the deceased owner, and all the folks living there will be kicked out. The man Olivia sends to marry her bolts, and the best man (who the “groom” met in a bar the night before) steps up and marries her. Arthur Fitzwilliam is a British Playboy who is quick with a glib quip. He decides to marry Becca as a lark, but as they get to know each other, their attraction grows. This book has the typical Lila Monroe wit and humor. What kept this from a five star book was the villain, who was a little two dimensional (I almost expected him to twirl his mustache and tie the heroine to the train track). Overall it was a fun read. I was given an ARC of this book from the author for my honest review.
Great story about a woman, Becca, who is left the apartment building she lives in by the sweet owner. Only problem is she has to be married to claim it. If she can’t find a husband quick the woman’s nephew will contest the will and take the building from her. Through all this mess she meets Fitz, who agrees to marry her and help her out, and then their adventure begins.
This story was so good! I enjoyed it so much! Make sure you grab this on release day and don’t miss out!! Lila never disappoints with her stories!! 5 stars for this one!
GAH! This series! I have loved every book in this series and I need more! Lila Monroe is an amazing author! Fake Mariage is one of my fave tropes and Best Man is top of that list! Fitz and Becca were amazing characters! This book will make you laugh out loud and swoon all at the same time! LOVED!
Great read. Thank you.
The Billionaire Bachelors series came to an end and this last book,Best Man,was one of my favourite.
Lila Monroe has produced yet another amazing novel,it’s a pleasure to read her words, the flow and the plot kept me engaged throughout the story.
Becca and Fitz are a beautiful “fake” couple, she needs a fake husband in order to save the building where she lives from a greedy man,but one thing she hadn’t counted on was that she might fall in love with him for real.
I wholeheartedly recommend you to read this story to find out how Becca and Fitz journey will end. Will they have their happily ever after?Or will they fulfil their contract and they go their separate ways?
I finished this book with a silly grin and a gooey warm feeling, having loved every page of it.
If you want a fun and steamy romp, with a nice dash of angst and a lot of humour then Best Man wonderfully fits the bill. Fitz and Becca are an amazing pair, I totally fell in love with the both of them. Fitz is sexy, charming, smooth and full of as many insecurities as the lovely hardworking, caring Becca.
Theirs was a fast paced, whirl of a story, starting with a sudden decision to marry and dashing none-stop to either paradise or purgatory. I really felt we got to know both these characters really well, there were more male perspective chapters in this, which definitely helped too. There are some wonderful new side characters, a few of whom we will be seeing more of, as well as several familiar faces from previous books.
This was just so easy to read, and that isn’t an easy feat to achieve. The writing is just so smoothly flowing, so that your attention never wavers. The plot and pace held my interest throughout and the characters had depth. This is a book that I am only too happy to recommend to romance lovers.
Best Man is swoony, full of laughs, and riddled with enough sexual tension to set a building on fire. I’m a complete sucker for ‘fake relationship/marriage’ tropes, and Best Man hit the mark!
With an inheritance on the line that comes with certain conditions, Becca is in dire need of a husband…like, yesterday. But when her soon-to-be husband ditches her at the last minute, Becca goes from desperate to hopeless. So when Fitz, a complete stranger – granted, an utterly sexy, British stranger – steps in to fill the role, Becca soon realizes that being fake married to a drop-dead gorgeous and charming heartthrob might not be so bad…or it might be the biggest mistake she’s made in her life.
I really loved this story! Not only does it have dynamic chemistry and attraction between Fitz and Becca (which, believe me…WOW) and is layered with humor and witty banter, it’s filled with heartwarming emotions and actions that seem truly uncommon in today’s society. It showcases the lengths to which one person with go to protect those around them, even if it’s at the cost of wagering one’s own heart in the process to a love that’s unknown.
This book makes me want to get ‘fake married’ myself, but I don’t think my husband would approve of that. *sigh* Oh, well. Such is life.
I’m really sad to see this series come to an end. Best Man is a fabulously written romantic comedy and the author is an absolute genius. And in the spirit of looking on the bright side, I’m incredibly anxious and excited for what she’s bringing us next! Well done, Lila!
5 Stars!
I have thoroughly enjoyed Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelor series, and Best Man is the perfect finale to the series. In this final installment, Ms. Monroe adds a little twist; instead of a dashing billionaire in need of a fake date, it is the heroine who is in need. However, she doesn’t just need a fake date, she needs a fake husband!
Jilted at the altar by her contracted fake fiancé, Becca is doomed to lose her inheritance. She isn’t after the money, she only wants to keep a promise to her benefactor, Marigold. When all seems lost, in walks Arthur Fitzgerald–Fitz to his friends–the best man at Becca’s failed, fake wedding. Fitz, a world renown playboy comes to Becca’s aid as a lark—“sure why not? It’ll be a laugh” — by marrying her.
Both Becca and Fitz are likable characters. Becca’s low-key lifestyle juxtapose to Fitz’ high profile is great. The character development is organic, and as the two get to know one another, they become more empathetic and their list of things in common grows. I loved how the two supported and encouraged each other.
The perfectly paced plot allows ample opportunity for everyone in the newlywed’s atmospheric circle to chime in about this arrangement. From Becca’s quirky apartment neighbors to Fitz’ judgmental parents, the secondary characters provide plenty of laughs as well as some drama. My only issue with the story is how Fitz became the best man in Becca’s failed fake wedding. There is no explanation for how or why Fitz is the best man know each other, and given their dichotomy, Scott and Fitz aren’t even in the same social circle. Aside from that unexplained introduction to Fitz, the book is a whirlwind of laughs, drama, and romance.
4.5 stars
Best Man, is yet another delightful romantic romp in the Billionaire Bachelor series. This time Lila Monroe takes a pointed look at how we use our public personae to hide the real person behind the mask. It takes courage to drop the facade and let the world see the real you. One woman, Rebecca Delaney, with a heart of gold gives one man, Arthur Fitzwilliam Fitzgerald, who is hiding his authentic self the reason to do just that.Twp people couldn’t be more opposite if they tried and yet, their differences balance each other out. Becca and Fitz just fit. Faking it turns into something real for both parties.
The Billionaire Bachelor series has shown me such an entertaining time ! This is the Best Man and the final in this series and Fitz will not disappoint!
Becca is in dire straits , she needs a fake husband and her hired help just walked out. Now she is drowning her sorrows when the best man makes a wild offer.
Fitz is a bit of a playboy and he also is a man full of surprises so when he realizes that Becca needs help he surprises himself by officering her a hand….in marriage. Fitz and Becca are sexy, funny and have a slow intense burn that begins to ignite the more they discover about one another . I just love the way Lila brings her characters to life with her witty words and crazy antics. the cast of characters are laugh out loud funny in this one but you will also get the warm and fuzzy feeling when you are invited into their world !

This book was downright entertaining and interesting that I was hooked on the characters, the way they were, the sizzling tension and the banter was so incredible I couldn’t put it down!!
If you are after a book to get you out of a reading funk this book will help definitely help you!
I just loved Fitz, he was rather mysterious, a playboy and quite the charmer! I bet he could charm the pants off any woman!! Lol!
Becca was a really caring devoted character and she had a way about her that made me want to be her friend! What she goes through and the connection that develops between her and Fitz is quite wonderful and steamy but sometimes things don’t always go the way you think! Drama galore but so worth reading! Can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!! Add it to your tbr list now!
I’m sure you’ve heard of the expression – ‘a no-win situation;’ heck, you might have even experienced one…well let me tell you, when it comes to these problematic positions, Becca Delaney, the heroine in Lila Monroe’s newest release, Best Man, epitomizes that saying and then some, and things only seem to get worse when he ‘would-be’ husband ditches her on their ‘big’ day. And while I understand Becca’s desperation to get married in order to fulfill the dictates of her aunt’s will, her choice of husband was definitely not a good one as shown by the fact that he took off running, preventing them from tying the know and leaving Becca in an abysmal situation and not anywhere close to securing the apartment building that she calls home.
Enter a Hail Mary of sorts – one of the gorgeous British variety – a total stranger who graciously takes up the charge and doesn’t think twice when he agrees to become Becca’s other half.
But the best man becoming the bridegroom is more than a little complicated because Arthur ‘Fitz’ Fitzwilliam is playing with his own set of rules, making their sham of a marriage a bevy of sexual tension, overwhelming and messy feelings that unfortunately begin to feel far too real for this sham of a marriage.
Even though the idea of proving that a fake marriage to a total stranger is the real thing is pretty much impossible, it’s the way Fitz and Becca work together to make things believable, attempting to convince those around them that they’re in love and devoted to each other, that begins to blur the lines, allowing feelings to grow with each witty conversation, humorous interaction, and the ‘gods of sexual tension’ creating quite the connection between these two.
Becca and Fitz couldn’t be more opposite and while that whole opposites attract idea definitely rings true with these two, it’s not smoothly sailing after the I Dos because they don’t know each other on any significant level, which means that assumptions and perceptions can be misguided causing miscommunication and misunderstandings to dictate more than they should because while Fitz was only supposed to be the best man at Becca’s wedding, his new role is everything they never knew they wanted, but more importantly, needed.
Lila Monroe’s Billionaire Bachelors series has been a collection of humorous, steamy, and good natured reads that will make readers laugh, swoon, and smile and they read the antics of this sexy bachelors and the women who find a way into their lives and their hearts.

5 Star Review of Best Man (Billionaire Bachelors # 6) by Lila Monroe
What a great addition to what has become one of my favourite series. This book was so good that I really didn’t want to put it down. I loved Best Man from start to finish; it was a fabulous read, full of great moments that really brought a smile to my face.
Arthur “Fitz” Fitzwillam
This is playboy Arthur “Fitz” Fitzwillam and Rebecca “Becca” Delaney’s story and oh what a story Lila Monroe weaved.
Becca is desperate to gain her inheritance thereby saving all the tenants in the apartment block that she recently inherited; only catch is she has to be married to get it. That’s where through sheer desperation Fitz comes into play as he offers to be her “fake” husband .
The chemistry between Fitz and Becca is off the charts and the line between reality and make believe soon blurs. Can their relationship based on pretence, morph into something real? Or will it all come crashing down?

What an amazing ending to this series!! I absolutely adored Fitz and Becca. I think they were my favorite couple.
Becaa was just so sweet and Fitz was not what he seemed. It was just perfect.
There were so many laugh out loud moments and a few moments where I wanted to smack them both!
I loved, loved, loved it!

There is just something about books with fake marriages and a HEA. The Best Man, is number six in the Billionaire Bachelors series by Lila Monroe. It proves just how great this storyline can be. From start to finish we are on a whirlwind of almost marriage, marriage, dating, breaking up and all that in between stuff that makes a great story. This one is written so well it will suck you right in and keep you up all night ’til it’s over.
Becca is trying to keep it all together when her godmother leaves a stipulation in her will for her inheritance. Becca must be married to keep it. There’s only one problem-she is not married and has no prospects. When her paid groom-to-be stands her up at the altar, none other than the Best Man steps up to the plate. All they have to do is keep it simple and “real” until the inheritance is in and her slimy cousin is out of the picture.
When the Best Man, Fitz, starts changing the game plane, it can only mean one thing, steamy nights and late night conversations. With the secrets being hidden and conversations taken wrong, can they make it or will Becca lose everything she is working so hard to achieve?
One thing I enjoyed about this story is the connection and the hidden secrets. The push and pull that Ms. Monroe pulled off with these characters are outstanding. Did I mention that the banter, off the wall laughing situations and lightheartedness, shines through this story?
Well written and easy to read. It is written in dual point of views which is my favorite. I can’t wait for Poppy’s story.
What do you get when you mix a gorgeous playboy with a secret and a beautiful woman with a huge heart who puts everyone before herself? An instant wedding! This book was chock full of lots of fun, lots of laughs, and quite a bit of sexy times. And you can’t help falling in love with them!!!
Lila Monroe never, ever fails to deliver the goods, and this proves to be the case with her newest offering to the rom/com gods… and avid readers alike.
Following in the steps of the five previous books in this hilarious series of standalones, Best Man brings British toff and playboy extraordinaire Arthur Fitzwilliam Fitzgerald and zany, hard-working Rebecca Delaney together in a whirlwind of a fake marriage.
Becca has been left an inheritance left by an elderly friend, but is being forced to wed as per the rule of the estate. She needs a spouse. ASAP!! She didn’t expect the hot stud she met in a bar to save the day for her.
Arthur offers up his services just for a laugh, not knowing just how much he’s about to change his life for a gorgeous, sexy stranger.
Arthur is the model of a playboy, and at times, a bit of a douche, but he didn’t know how to have a relationship and was trying his best. And his best… well, the man was certainly swoon-worthy, romantic and charming. He was also hot as sin and could melt panties at sixty paces. He and Becca were from two different worlds, but they somehow messed and were wonderful together. I loved this entire book. It had that warm fluffy feel that only the best romantic comedies can offer. There were some interesting secondary characters and I’m looking forward to reading their stories too.
Best Man, book six in the Billionaire Bachelors series, had me laughing out loud, wondering who this mysterious hero REALLY was and routing for the heroine to get everything she dreamed off! Fitz and Becca’s story was fun, sexy and full of some cute OMG moments! I enjoy a good fake marriage story and Best Man is one of the best I’ve read in quite some time. Two people who are total opposites, that find friendship and true love in something that was never supposed to be? I have to say that the relationship between Fitz and Becca was full of surprises and I just could not get enough!
