How well do you really know your best friend? Kat Grant and Alice Campbell have a friendship forged in shared confidences and long lunches lubricated by expensive wine. Though they’re very different women–the artsy socialite and the struggling suburbanite–they’re each other’s rocks. But even rocks crumble under pressure. Like when Kat’s financier husband, Howard, plunges to his death from the … death from the second-floor balcony of their South Florida mansion.
Howard was a jerk, a drunk, a bully and, police say, a murder victim. The questions begin piling up. Like why Kat has suddenly gone dark: no calls, no texts and no chance her wealthy family will let Alice see her. Why investigators are looking so hard in Alice’s direction. Who stands to get hurt next. And who is the cool liar–the masterful manipulator behind it all.

Best Friends Forever is a clever thriller that asks how far we’ll go to protect our friends. Margot Hunt will keep you guessing until the final, satisfying twist.
BEST FRIENDS FOREVER is a page turner of a read, delving into the often fraught world of female friendships and the wreckage left behind when they implode. The women at the heart of this novel are full of secrets kept from loved ones, each other, and most of all, themselves. You may think you know how this story is going to end. But trust me, you don’t.
Margot Hunt’s cleverly constructed thriller kept me guessing till the very end.
Best Friends Forever is Margot Hunt’s debut novel. I read her second book previously and loved it. Afterwards, I decided to check out her first book and was not disappointed. Hunt has definitely found a spot on my one-click list.
In Best Friends Forever, Hunt explores women, marriage, and motherhood, and what friends are willing to do for (and to) each other. The word sociopath may have been thrown around in this book. It is well-earned. Engaging and relatable, with characters you’ll want to root for and some you won’t. The twist could have been incorporated better but you won’t find me complaining. We’re all friends here, right? Best friends. Check it out.
Margot Hunt’s richly drawn women wrap their hands around your throat and don’t let go. A suspenseful page-turner that kept me puzzling over who did it until the last few pages. Fantastic!
Easy to read , with a nice surprise.
Great book..couldn’t put it down.
Considering the trend of female led thrillers, I would be shocked if this isn’t turned into a movie soon. It’s an easy to read whodunit on the surface but beneath it’s all kinds of twisted and the very last surprise came in the last few pages and left me utterly gaping in surprise. I’ll admit I’d figured out much of the main twist but that last one totally got me. I don’t want to give too much away but I will say this book is an intense look into friendship and loyalty, womanhood, motherhood and what the cost is for showing the true us to someone else. Definitely a recommended read if you enjoy the likes of any of the thrillers with Girl in the title. I’ll be searching out more Margot Hunt for sure.
Highly recommend this author. Wish she had a dozen mire to read!!
You never know who your really are inside.
the plot moves, the characters are actually interesting and it will engage readers of a specific nature. It’s an easy read and entertaining while certainly not too deep.
Nice beach read.
This is a great read. I very much enjoyed the characters and the actions surrounding this story. I did not catch the twist until the end. Would make a great movie!
I enjoyed this book. It kept me guessing. Will read more by this author.
Breezed through this one. The ending was a complete surprise.
I totally enjoyed this book. Goes to show you don’t always know people as well as you think. Loved the ending it was totally unexpected.
Although I knew there was something going on with the new “friend”, I never saw the ending coming! Literally took me to the end.
The premise of the book is a back story of Elizabeth II is beyond belief. But the setting is a wonderful concept
Good read
I couldn’t put this book down!
I really enjoyed this story, as it was one of the those that was hard to put down. I kept reading page after page, because I was just so caught up in it. It was more because of the way the author writes than what she writes, if that makes sense. The plot wasn’t the most action-packed and you pretty much get the gist of the main characters soon enough, but because of how she spins the tale, you keep reading.
The only thing that nagged at me afterwards was the document that Alice typed up and gave to her lawyer. Unless I missed something, we were never told what it contained. Yes, she told Kat what it was, in theory, but not the details of it. I don’t want to give anything away, so I apologize for the vagueness! The only other slight issue I had was that I kept thinking how naive Alice was written to be, yet that clashes with the ending of the story. If you are such a logical person and keep being presented with evidence of someone’s true nature you wouldn’t keep tossing it aside because of how you feel emotionally. It just doesn’t pull together quite right at the end, is what I mean.
Still, I really loved the book and I can’t wait for the next one, which I will snatch up right away!
