How to NOT fall in love with your best friend in 3 easy steps.
NEVER sleep with him.
DON’T wake up married to him in Vegas.
DEFINITELY don’t get pregnant with his baby.
It’s not Trent’s fault I couldn’t keep my damn legs closed every time he looked at me,
I was the funny best friend who harbored the secret crush,
And he was the hottie on campus all the ladies wanted to bang…and did.
Poetic … all the ladies wanted to bang…and did.
Poetic isn’t it?
The distance I’ve put between us over the years was exactly what I needed,
Until I see that panty-melting smile,
And feel his rock hard body against mine.
FML.
No strings.
No Feelings.
Yeah right…
I’ve got one chance to convince him to give our marriage a chance,
One week before he leaves the country,
And seven days to convince him to play daddy.

This is the 5th book in this awesome series and is Mia and Trent’s story. These two had a friends-with-benefits relationship, until after a drunken night in Vegas they end up married. They both agree to a divorce, but things become complicated. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, and well as having angst, heartbreak, off the charts chemistry, miscommunication and love, which all lead to steamy and all-consuming read which had me totally enthralled throughout this riveting page turner. I highly recommend for all.
I didn’t realize this was an actual series and I missed. Few, but I’m going to go back and reread. We first meet Mia in My Best Friend’s Ex: Make Her Mine. I was glad to see she got her story. Mia has been best friends with both Levi and Trent since college. Even so, Mia has had strong feelings for Trent for awhile now even though they only see each other occasionally. With their attraction, all it takes one weekend in Vegas changes everything.

This story is about two friends who used to hook up in college and always had a good relationship, but went their separate ways after graduating. Trent is an engineer who travels the world for months at a time, but always gets two weeks off between his travels. He enjoys returning to Chicago to visit his group of friends, which includes Mia. He and Mia enjoy spending his time off together, as friends with benefits…until he leaves once again. Mia has always loved Trent, but Trent believes Mia deserves a man who can stay home with her, give her babies, and a home with a white picket fence.
The group of friends go to Vegas for a short holiday, and Trent and Mia are put in the same room. They spend the time partying, hooking up, and getting totally lit. After a particularly hard night of drinking, the couple wake up with raging hangovers and gold wedding rings…only they remember absolutely nothing about it.
When they return to Chicago they have to make a decision as to whether they should remain married or get a divorce. After all, Trent still has 4 years left on his contract and will be leaving again soon for work in Canada. Mia surprises him by showing up at his hotel, so they enjoy another week together. Then Trent decides they should divorce, and Mia is devastated once again, except that she finds herself with a major surprise. One that will change both of their lives forever.

Married by Mistake – Depends on who you ask!
Levi keeps popping into Mia’s life & they have the “friends with benefits” relationship but somewhere along the way, she grows to love him & each time they hook up, he leaves her & a piece of her heart is broken. Never say never! They discover, after a night of drinking, they got married in Vegas. The easy way out is a divorce but their feelings for each other starts to surface. A novel bursting with romance off-the-charts, new friendships & 2 characters who deserve a HEA.

What a fun, steamy read! Alexis Winters has done it yet again. Trent and Mia have been best friends and friends with benefits since college. He feels because his job takes him out of town for months at a time, she deserves better, so neither ever makes a move to intensify the relationship. After a trip to Vegas and a drunken night together, they end up married and yet again he thinks she deserves better. The book is fast paced, steamy, funny, has all the feels. And luckily it’s FREE with your KU subscription or less than a $1 to buy.

Two people so in love with one another but afraid to reveal for fear of rejection. Mia and Trent have known each other since college, hooking up through college and after. Trends job takes him away for months at a time and leaves Mia heartbroken and never really recovers from his visits. When friends invite four couples to Vegas for a weekend Mia does not want to go since Trent is going. After being convinced to go, knowing she is making a mistake, spends an awesome weekend with him. The story is told from both Mia and trends POV. The read is given both parties angst,, heartbreak at knowing they live each other but are they right for the long haul? Couldn’t put the book down, I read it in one day. I’ve read other books by this author and haven’t been disappointed
Hooked to this story from the first page and upset when I got to the last. Fast paced, emotive story telling at it’s best having me laughing and crying with the turning of the pages. Can’t recommend this highly enough and I will definitely be re-reading. Just be warned, once started it’s impossible to put down!

I absolutely love this series. Mia and Trent have known each other since college and haves loved each other since they met. However, neither knows how the other feels. Trent has a hold on Mia like no other and vice versa. Trent knowledge he should let her go, but he can’t. When they go to Vegas with their friends, fun ensues. One night they have lots to drink and end up married. Will they finally admit their feelings to each other and stay married or not? There are times that I wanted to smack these two and ask them what are you doing, speak up. Trent and Mia have such a strong connection with each other and they are always there for the other person, whether by text, email and in person. The chemistry between them is WOW!! So dang hot and explosive. They could win the gold in Olympics for sex. I really enjoyed the story and love the characters. You get to see all the characters from the previous books in this series. You don’t need to read them first, but I think you get a better enjoyment if you do. If you read this one first, you’ll want to read the others.
Alexis has done it again !! This was a great book. Loved Trent and Mia’s story. First day freshman year of college they meet and we’re best of friends who turned friends with benefits then nothing at all… When their mutual friend has a get together they want both to come…in Vegas. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas or that’s what they thought.
I recommend reading you’ll enjoy it.

This book was one terrific read with the great character and storyline development that had me hooked from page one! The chemistry was off the charts HOT between Trent and Mia which kept me totally glued to my kindle until the turn of the very last page!
This book was fabulous. This was Alexis Winter at her finest. Trent and Mia had so much sexual chemistry. Trent and Mia had been best friends with benefits since college. Years later, Trent is an engineer and goes all over the world with his job. He is only at home a couple of months a year. At first, Trent would call Mia when he was in town and they would hook-up. Everytime it got harder and harder for Mia to say good-bye until she just started making excuses when he would call wanting to see her. Then their friends planned a trip for a get-together in Los Vegas and it was sprung on Mia at the last minute that her and Trent would be sharing a hotel room. Mia insisted it was a bad idea. Especially after a drunken night waking up the next morning and realizing you both have wedding bands on. Ahhh…but this is merely the beginning. This book is a must read and I highly recommend.
This is a great read. I really enjoyed reading this book and I did not want to put it down. What happens in Vegas

Rewriting the Agreement: The Negotiations of Love
Mia and Trent were part of a group of friends during college, but Mia and Trent’s relationship was deeper—they were best friends, and that friendship continued after college. All their friends knew that they were close, but no one fully understood that their friendship included “benefits” until Mia realized that she couldn’t be “that friend” anymore. Each time Trent had stopped by Chicago in the past, they fell into that same “friends with benefits” relationship, and while he was with her, it was heaven. He was her heart, but he kept breaking her heart each time he left.
Now, the gang gathers again to join in a belated wedding celebration for Levi and Dani who had eloped, not even alerting their friends of their intention to marry. So now, after Levi and Dani’s first child is old enough to left with family, they contact their posse, and all fly to Vegas for a belated celebration. All who are invited are couples—and the arrangements locate each couple in their own room. And, it is assumed that best friends, Mia and Trent could share a room with two beds without difficulty. Except no one really knows how close Mia and Trent are, and how that close proximity will impact the fragile emotional entanglement now that Mia has decided to be just friends with Trent with no benefits.
With the dynamics of Vegas, the influence of alcohol, and the magic of a shared room, friendship with benefits morphs into something else; the friends almost seem like lovers; the lovers seem like people in love, but can the friends with benefits that lovers usually claim admit that what they really feel is love? And, what happens when one of the outcomes of friends with benefits is a baby?
The story of Mia and Trent continues to weave the stories of love of a group of friends that become that magical combination of friends that are family, family that are friends.

Trent and Mia’s story is a very good and a must read. They have great chemistry but need communication skills. I fell in love with this book I will be adding to my favorites.

Lack of communication was their biggest mistake!
by sewsummore
Mia and Trent had a history of hooking up, from the time they first met while both were still in college. After college, every parting caused Mia more heartache until she decided to avoid the heartbreak by avoiding Trent. When their friends organize a celebration weekend in Las Vegas, and despite their differences, they share a room once again. The inevitable happens and spend the night making love. After several days of celebrating and nights drinking and making love, they wake up with wedding rings on their fingers with no memory of getting married. This book was a quick read with a happy ending, though not without a lot of heartache and misunderstandings before they reunited once again. These two lovers could have avoided a lot of pain and suffering if they had communicated better with each other, it saddened me to read about the pain Maddie experienced every time they said goodbye and if Trent had not decided what he thought was best for Mia without asking her first.

I loved the book, but the way these two adults do not communicate is tedious. But it is also fun to see how they fumble through their assumptions. How two grown up people can screw things up is really fun to read – and I was always waiting on the next screw up..I read it in once and was laughing loudly some times and others just giggling…..
Alexis Winter has written a 5-star book that has Mia and Trent dealing with their friends with benefits relationship. Mia has loved Trent since she met him back in college. They have a relationship that allows them to hook up whenever Trent is in town. Each time this happens, Mia loses a little bit more of her heart to him. He never stays with her and she doesn’t know how to tell him no. Danielle, a friend of Mia’s has called her to invite her to Vegas with her and a group of friends but Mia tells her that she doesn’t know the friends and that she can’t afford to go. Danielle’s husband and a friend of Mia’s tell Danielle to tell Mia that Trent will be there. This gets Mia to start thinking about how every time she sees Trent he hurts her a little more. Mia again tells Danielle that she can’t go and hangs up her phone. A few minutes later her phone rings and it is Trent. He talks her into going on the trip. Things go back to the way they were for Mia and Trent until one night they get drunk and end up getting married. With things the way they are between them they decide to file for a divorce. Mia goes to see Trent one weekend while he is in Canada and now he hasn’t seen her in 10 weeks. Mia is over at Danielle’s house for dinner and is telling Danielle that she is not feeling well, Danielle asks how she feels and Mia tells her. Danielle gets her to take a pregnancy test and it is positive. She goes to see the doctor and confirms the pregnancy. When Trent calls her, she asks him “if he wants to still go through with the divorce?’ and he tells her yes, that he thinks it would be best for both of them. Mia doesn’t tell Trent about the pregnancy, she thinks that since he doesn’t want her he wouldn’t want the baby. Now when Trent calls Mia she lets it go to voicemail. Levi calls Trent and gives him hell for the way he has treated Mia and let’s slip that she is now 10 weeks pregnant. Trent tells Levi that she took what he said wrong. Levi tells him that since he still wanted the divorce then she would not trap him with the baby.
Will Mia ever get the point of telling Trent enough is enough or will she take what he gives her time and time again?
Can Trent ever get the girl he wants or will he lose her for good this time?
This book was a rollercoaster of emotions and misunderstandings between Mia and Trent. I would recommend this book to anyone.

A terrific escape!
Mia and Trent met the first day of college. They became friends, and soon after friends with benefits. After graduation he leaves to pursue his career. Hookups when he’s in town, and little or no contact when he’s not. When they are both invited to Vegas for their college friends’ marriage she is reluctant; however, she concedes. So begins “the rest of the story”. Great characters and fun story make this an absolute must read.
Definitely recommended!
