This is why moving in with my hot best friend was the worst idea ever:I was a cautious single mom. He was the biggest player alive. I had financial struggles. He played with billions. He was hot. And I was… well, not. So what did I do when he suggested that my son and I live with him?I stared into his irresistible blue eyes and said yes.The plan was simple. I would move out as soon as I found … plan was simple.
I would move out as soon as I found an affordable place.
I only had to keep my horndog hands to myself for less than one month.
But him strutting around shirtless was not a part of the plan.
Neither was him eyeing me in my bathrobe.
Don’t even get me started on the way he looked after my son (hashtag major turn on).
The plan went down in flames when his strong arms slid around my waist.
What happened next could be summed up in one simple equation.
Drama + Drama = More Drama

This is book 2 in the Forbidden Mistake series. Heather was Zander’s assistant and was looking forward to moving up in the company until she was left alone to raise a child on her own. So she moves in with a friend and works from home using her psychologist degree. Unfortunately, she might kill her friend whose one night stands are keeping her awake at night. When her best friend Bradley offers her and her son a place to stay until she can find a place of her own she accepts.
You feel Brad and Heather’s chemistry immediately even though they both try to deny their feelings. I really loved this story. The emotions jump off the page and you feel part of the story. The characters are amazing and the storyline flows seamlessly. I highly recommend this book.
This is a well written friends to lovers romance with strong characters in Heather and Brad. The author does a great job building the sexual tension and fills the story with tons of drama, suspense and a hot and steamy chemistry, throwing some humor in along the way. I loved the story line and characters and would recommend this book.

This story is just beyond the ridiculous, but let’s face it; best friends make the best marriages. Why? You already know how to communicate with each other. The problem is getting from friends to lovers to mates. This story addresses some of these problems, but exaggerates the problems tremendously, especially with an overreacting female involved! Story is good for a laugh and a smile.
Our hero and heroine have been friends forever and both want more, but they are scared of ruining their friendship.
Both characters are also rather immature, which didn’t help things. It made me want to kick them and tell them to get on with it.
Fortunately, they do, it just takes a while. And once they do, good things happen. You get some definite steamy scenes and an HEA.
The story is straightforward, a rather standard friends to lovers story. I found it to be an easy read and enjoyable, just not the author’s best.
Recommended for a casual weekend read.

This is a really good book. It’s about family drama and a friends to lovers romance. When Brad meets Heather, he knows instantly that she is going to rock his world and he knew he would be jealous of any man who tried to touch her and he would protect her and her son Max from everything. It’s a heartwarming story with lots of sexual heat, family issues, a yearning to protect the ones you love and a couple who are perfect for each other but keep fighting it. It has a great happily ever ending that will make you smile.
I read this chapter by chapter given to me by the author through her newsletter.
This was a good short read and it drew me in from the first chapter. Both of the main characters are needing what is right in front of them and that is their best friend, who they happen to be to each other.
Heather has been hurt and left to raise her son alone and her best friend Brad is always there for her and although the has a hard time admitting it, loves being there for them.
It takes Brad a little longer to come around but Heather finally figures out, along with Brad, that they are perfect for each other.
A sweet love story between best friends who finally get out of their own way.

He offered her a place to stay until she gets into her feet with her son. He is a player and she knew it would only be for a short time. She did not count on him wandering around without a shirt. He was really good with her son. She would look at him and he would do the same. Then they kissed. Trouble is coming. How will it all go? Will they be a family? See if they will be

Heather is a single mom living with one of her best friends and things aren’t working out all that well. So to save their friendship she decides to move out. When Bradley learns that Heather is moving he ends up at the place she is considering renting and talks her into staying with him. Heather is attracted to Bradley but he hasn’t acted like he wants anything more than friendship with her. Some of their mutual friends think that both of them need to stop denying how they feel for each other. On their second night together things get heated and they end up having sex which change things for them however Bradley still isn’t sure he wants a relationship and when Heather learns that he is trying to avoid her she moves her family back out. Can Bradley convince Heather to give him another chance?
This is a great story once I started it I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Bradley and Heather is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

I received an ARC of this book and offered to share my thoughts on it. I ended up loving this more than I expected. There are parts with certain characters (ex…clears throat) that makes me want to throw something and cuss them out, but there are good guys out there and this book gives that reminder and watching their friendship turn to love is rewarding. I loved it.

Best Friend Hot Roommate
By Summer Brooks
Main Characters: Brad & Heather
I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.
4 out of 5 stars
This is a best friend to lover contemporary romance. I did not like Brad in the beginning but he finally grew on me. Heather seemed a little immature in the beginning and she and her son Max were rooming with her friend and it wasn’t working. Brad offered for the two of them to move in with him and what could go wrong with that? Or maybe right? Enjoyed this book.
I received this book from booksprout for a review. I enjoyed reading this book. Loved reading about the characters. Would recommend the book to friends.

Heather finds herself as a single mother and needing someplace to stay. Bradley is her best friend and in her eyes a player. When he finds out she needs someplace to stay he offers his home to her. He recognizes she is the one for him but has always been worried about ruining their friendship, something he does not want to lose. Once they are living together the love they have both being trying to not act on becomes impossible to continue to ignore. I really loved this sweet friends to lover romance. Great characters, in a nice feel good story. Well worth the read.

A Great Story!
A really good single mom having a male best friend romance story. With the encouragement of her girlfriends to take the next step with Bradley, she & Bradley do so & it seems there’s regret in moving forward with their relationship. Brad doesn’t want to let her go & have her someone else’s arms including her baby’s daddy. He needs to decide on whether he wants to really settle down with a ready-made family & to look into the future with having his own children with Heather.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book because it has everything you need for a roommate story. You have a single mom with a best friend who just so happens to have extra rooms in his house for her and her child. Even though they are best friends, both are hesitant in taking the next step by becoming more of a couple. Neither wants to lose their friendship but can they take the next step or not?
