This is why moving in with my hot best friend was the worst idea ever:I was a cautious single mom. He was the biggest player alive. I had financial struggles. He played with billions. He was hot. And I was… well, not. So what did I do when he suggested that my son and I live with him?I stared into his irresistible blue eyes and said yes.The plan was simple. I would move out as soon as I found … plan was simple.
I would move out as soon as I found an affordable place.
I only had to keep my horndog hands to myself for less than one month.
But him strutting around shirtless was not a part of the plan.
Neither was him eyeing me in my bathrobe.
Don’t even get me started on the way he looked after my son (hashtag major turn on).
The plan went down in flames when his strong arms slid around my waist.
What happened next could be summed up in one simple equation.

WOW – this was an awesome book. I love the fact that kids were in it as it makes the story worthwhile. You know he is the one when your alpha friend drops everything for you. Having the kid seek him out was a wonderful touch, because you are right, what they see the most is what they want in life, not biological. The story is about Heather, who was abandon when she finds out she is pregnant because the douche of an ex is not ready to be a father and instead is ask to abort. The good thing is that her new BFF, Brad, does not allow her to think of the douche and helps her move on. Brad offers her a place to stay until she finds her own with the help of his assistant, and this is where everything changes for them both. Like any relationship, they have their ups/downs, but at the end they have their happily ever after.

Loved this book. The characters are wonderful. The story keeps you interested and wanting to keep reading.
Heather was a therapist, currently in the middle of a session with a client. The client was complaining about her husband who was so controlling, wanting to raise their daughter the way HE felt was best. Heather’s thoughts turned to the father of her child who ran off and abandoned her and their newborn son, Max. And immediately she heard him crying for the second time now, awake again from his nap. She jumped up and said she would be right back, right in the middle of Mindy’s sentence. Annoyed, Mindy suggested they reschedule and that maybe Heather needed some time off.
Heather’s roommate, Rachel Philips, was driving her crazy, dragging in new guys every week and moaning loudly out in the living room. She really missed her job at Initial Concept, but she couldn’t handle the stress while coping with a newborn; and she was too broke to afford a nanny. So she fell back on her therapist career, not really wanting to listen to people’s problems, but it was what she had trained for and earned her some money while able to work at home.
When Rachel came in at 4 p.m. with her guy-of-the-week, she had been drinking. When Neil left, Heather and she got into a little argument about her lifestyle. She wasn’t happy that Rachel made her feel how pathetic her own life was becoming. But Rachel told her that her best friend Bradley Coleman was drooling over her and always watching her — and she hadn’t even noticed! He couldn’t possibly be interested in her, could he?
Brad was in competition with his father over securing a deal with a very high-profile client, Sheikh Azeera of Dubai. Unfortunately, the Sheikh decided to work with Herman Coleman instead. And making it all worse, his father immediately called him to gloat and rub in the pain of defeat. After throwing his phone against the wall, he had his assistant get two tickets for him and a female sex buddy to go to Spain, where he owned a chain of restaurants. Going there soothed him like a vacation when his father got him riled up. He would have preferred taking Heather and Max with him, but he didn’t think she would go. However, when he phoned her, he could swear she was sniffling and was acting strangely. He knew she was upset over something and went over to her apartment to see her. He wanted her, but he wasn’t willing to open himself emotionally to a woman, and he didn’t want to lose her friendship if it went wrong. Ironically, Heather couldn’t stop thinking of Brad either – but wouldn’t put their friendship at risk in case a relationship didn’t work.
This was a good story. I loved the fact that Brad and Heather held back on their feelings out of fear for their friendship. Both were willing to miss out on something even better, if they could only take a chance. The story line moved at a good pace, letting the reader share their growing feelings that neither would release. The characters were developed well and made the reader care about their situation. Get your copy and see if either of them will finally take the next step in this chance for love and a new family!
