Now an Amazon top 50 bestseller!I told a judge I was engaged to my best friend. Now we’re faking it.How hard can it be?My life has room for exactly two women: my daughter Rusty and my best friend Charlotte — known to everyone as Charlie. One is a feisty, tomboyish firecracker. The other is my seven-year-old. I can’t imagine life without either. So when my ex springs a custody hearing on me, I find … either.
So when my ex springs a custody hearing on me, I find myself telling the judge that I’m engaged to Charlie.
The only problem? I’m not.
Time to fake an engagement.
Pretending we’re a couple will be no big deal.
We’ve been friends for years. We used to sneak cigarettes behind the bleachers. We turned cans of hairspray into flamethrowers. We got drunk on stolen malt liquor.
She’s beautiful, vivacious, spontaneous, and she loves my daughter to death. It’s the perfect answer: we fake it for a few months, then go back to our lives.
Until we touch, and sparks fly. Until I can’t take my eyes off her. Until I can’t stop thinking about what she’s got on under her coveralls.
It takes one kiss.
One touch.
One shared secret and suddenly, I’m not pretending anymore. I want her, I need her in ways I didn’t know I could.
But there’s a lifetime of friendship between us, and falling in love with Charlie could mean risking everything.
Best Fake Fiance is a standalone romantic comedy that will make you laugh, cry, and probably fan yourself with your kindle.

Cute story.
This is the first book I’ve read by Author Roxie Noir.
It was a good read although in parts i struggled to keep reading as i found it a bit boring but i kept going and I’m glad i did it got better as i read along and quiet funny in certain parts. Will definitely read more from this author.
Daniel needs help, he is a bind and he asks his best friend, Charlie to help out. It just so happens that includes marriage and a fake relationship. This author knows how to breathe life into troupes that as a reader you think are over. I loved this friends to lovers, fake fiancé story. It is filled with humor, a great plot, well developed characters and more steamy then a reader can handle in one story (not really, but there was a lot).
Charlie and Daniel were great together and because they have been friends for years, their relationship was believable as a romance. I loved that they didn’t really try and fit it, but embraced the new direction they fund themselves going. There was a bit of angst, I mean that is what pulls the reader in, but the romance is also high.
This story is all feel good and every this I hoped for. If you are new to this author this is a great story to start with and if you have rea her before, then just know you will love her again. I received an ARC and am leaving an honest review.
I’m really enjoying this series. This author has the way of making her characters so realistic that you feel you know them. This story fits so many different subjects. Romance, rom com, sexy and family. Daniel and Charlie are meant to be together. From their childhood when they met their friendship stood the test of time. Daniel was faced with a daughter from one of his wilder times. Yet he did the right thing and steps up to be the good parent. Daniel and Charlie’s personalities are so opposite that I couldn’t help but enjoy the play between them. The relationship between them and the sex made me feel they had to be together. I love how the families are brought into the story as it gives a wholesome feel to the lives these two live. Rusty seems the better for being raised by all the people around her. Bringing the ex into the picture adds to the situations I’m sure a lot of parents face. The way the author develops all the characters I got a feel for each of them and wished I had relatives such as these. I enjoy this author’s stories and especially tend to like the darker ones but this series is so heartwarming that I look forward to each story. This is a few of the reasons I have to keep a watch on this author and try not to miss any of her books.
Best Fake Fiance is a combo of bff to lovers and fake engagements, toss in a dash of single dad. Daniel is oh so serious and tries to keep control everywhere, but it seems he was a little wild when he was younger. Charlie, his friend turned fiance, is like a whirlwind. Always late, but up for almost anything, with a big heart. They both love on his little girl and she’s priority number one.
I cried a bit through this story- the custody struggle broke my heart, and whenever Daniel and Charlie fought, I felt it. I felt connected to the characters and their happiness and even their insecurities. I really enjoyed it, am loving the series, and excited to see what’s to come.
I’m a sucker for a good friends to lovers and this one did not disappoint! Funny, steamy, and oh so good!
Best Fake Fiancé
Loveless Brothers, Book 2
By: Roxie Noir
Narrated by: Tor Thom, Monica King
Daniel Loveless is in a predicament. Custody of her 7 year old daughter is at stake, and in a rush of panic, he lets he judge know he is engaged…to Charlie, his best friend. Now he needs Charlie to play the part so he can keep his daughter. Charlie is shocked at the idea, but agrees to help him out. After all, they have been best friends since grade school. But can they play the part? Or will their true feelings surface? Love is definitely in the air for this story, but I love the how Roxie Noir takes us on a journey to get there. First off, Rusty is a fantastic character. She may be 7, but she is independent, curious and smart. Each scene with her is engaging as a mom, I can just see exactly her missions. Charlie is also phenomenal. Hard working, a little ditzy but full of love, she is incredibly genuine. And Daniel is stressed. He knows what he wants, but is unsure he can have it all. Then we have the characters we love to hate like Crystal, and the story has a little bit of everything. A little angst, a lot of laughs, some family banter and a lot of true love. It made my heart happy and my smile big.
Tor Thom and Monica King tell us this story with a wonderful dual narration. Daniel is a tough one, with a lot of sides. He is dad first, brother and boyfriend, and Thom finds each nuance to bring the layers of Daniel to life. He is a realistic character and Thom nails each scene perfectly. King is Charlie. A little airy, but a huge heart, she finds all of her facets and uses inflections to let us know her true feelings. I enjoyed this team and the story.

If you’re looking for a delightful romance loaded with lots of feels and plenty of charming characters, then look no further. The Loveless Brothers series has everything you’re looking for, and BEST FAKE FIANCÉ will definitely not let you down. It’s a fun roller coaster ride with some twists that will tug at your heartstrings and turns that will bring a smile to your face. This best friends to lovers arc is filled with just the right amount of emotional conflict, couple interaction, family involvement, and steamy passion to keep your interest from start to finish. The entertainment value of this tale is extremely high.
Another great story in the Loveless Brothers series. This one is all about Daniel, Rusty, and Charlie. Daniel and Charlie have been best friends for eighteen years and now, with one impulsive move in court, they are engaged. It started innocently enough. It wasn’t supposed to really go anywhere. No one was supposed to find out. Daniel forgot one very important rule…nothing stays secret in Sprucevale, VA.
You met Daniel, Rusty, and Charlie in Enemies with Benefits, book one of the series. Daniel, especially, quickly becomes a favorite in that book. Best Fake Fiancee is all about Daniel, but you still have plenty of family events with the Loveless brothers. That’s always a good time! This family has to be one of my all-time faves. Their interactions are hilarious, their personalities are very different, but the love seeps out through the pages. Also, the single-parent trope with a very precocious seven-year-old is almost always a winner. Then, there is the best friends to lovers/fiancee aspect that’s another fave. I won’t say that this one is better than Eli and Violet’s story, but the two do run neck and neck.
08/16/2021 is the date I finished reading “Best Fake Fiance” (nook). Although it was a month ago, I still want to submit my review. I very much enjoyed the story and I think that it is worth reading.
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the steamy full length novel Best Fake Fiancé: A Single Dad Romance (Loveless Brothers Book 2) by Roxie Noir and this review was given freely.
Filled with family interference, humorous awkward moments, off color humor, unfiltered speech, the antics of a precocious seven year old and the friends to more romance where a moment of panic resulting in a fake engagement between best friends Daniel Loveless and Charlotte McManus.
18+ for language and intimate scenes.

(Dual POVs)
This is only my second book by Roxie Noir and I ended up loving it just as much as the first one in this series! This book was pretty different from the first one, so nothing felt repetitive or redone, but one thing that did continue in this book was the Loveless brothers’ humor! I thought Rusty was going to be the cause of most of the comic relief in this book but the Loveless brothers had me laughing more than anything! Seth and Eli’s staged intervention literally had me DYING! I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard during a book in my life!
Charlie is seriously the most perfectly imperfect heroine there is because she is so down to earth and genuine. She’s the type that always has a pile of *possibly clean* clothes on her bedroom floor and her bed is most likely unmade. No matter where she’s going, she’s always running a little late and she can be a little forgetful at times. But she has so much love for the Loveless family and would literally do anything for Daniel and Rusty. When she agrees to go along with the fake engagement, her list of demands were hilarious! I also thought Charlie being a carpenter was a unique job for a heroine and I am all for it!
I’m not sure that Daniel is going to win my ‘Favorite Loveless Brother’ award but I appreciated the realistic parenting vibes we get from him being a young, single father, taking things day by day. I adored how passionate he was about being a father but I did think he was a little harsh to Charlie at times when it came to things concerning Rusty. Daniel and Charlie have been friends for years so their relationship was so natural and easy and then finding out they had chemistry in the bedroom was just the cherry on top!
Cannot wait for Levi’s story and for more of the Loveless brothers!
Favorite Quotes:
“You’re the sun and I’m the moon,” he says slowly, carefully. “You shine and I reflect, and that’s how we always were. Without you I’m a dark, cold, dusty rock hurtling through space.” -Daniel
It lights me. I’m dry brush, the forest floor after a long drought, and he’s a spark. In moments I’m aflame, ravaged, the heat racing through me like a wildfire. -Charlie
Had a hard time getting into the book by page 30 so I quit it-sorry
I really enjoyed this book it totally reminds me of my friend Dustin and I:) I look forward to reading more by this author!!!
This was a cute story. I do have to admit it was VERY slow. It could have lost about 50 pages without losing the storyline. I wish there had been more interaction with the daughter in the story. It was a cute story with a HEA.
I wanted to like this book, but I couldn’t finish it after the third horrible decision the leading lady made. It was painful for her to keep screwing up so badly.
This is one you don’t want to miss! Best Fake Fiance is a best friends turned lovers romance after Daniel, our hero who is fighting to retain custody of his very precocious 7 year old, tells the family court judge that he is engaged. Enter Charlie, his best friend for 12 years, who is impulsive, forgetful and a lot of fun. She’s a lot different than Daniel who is overprotective and cautious. Together they realize they have something special, something stronger than just friendship.
Roxie Noir is an amazing storyteller who weaves a tale of two friends who are opposite enough to complement each other perfectly. You will love all the emotions she brings out in the book, so much so you won’t want to put it down.
Easy read. Fun romance
Although I generally enjoyed the book, I found the h to be frustrating. She got pregnant, had his child, and then wasn’t going to tell him it was his baby. Her constant thoughts on him wanting a kid or not, it made me dislike her immensely. There was a HEA, but I found it too frustrating to recommend.
Loved it!
Took me a little while to get hooked, but in the end, I loved it.
