Genuinely LOVED this book! Bought for a holiday read and couldn’t put it down.
Outstanding thriller, Salter’s characters got right under my skin, and he brings to life a side of the digital world that could really threaten any of us. A must read. Up there with Joseph Finder and Harlen Coben.
“Much superior to Girl on the Train.”
I loved the way it took you to a place that was so dark you didn’t think it could get any worse…and then off it goes again while circling back round…can’t say anymore without giving it all away so just get it and enjoy it. Brilliant. Would be an amazing film!
Thrilling. I haven’t read anything recently that was really nail biting like this. It was exciting, current, twisted, but not in an offensive way. Excellent read.
Well written; full of twists and intrigue. Makes you realize just how easy it would be for someone to cyberstalk you!
Loved the Twists and Turns. A real page turner and somewhat frightening in its take on technology. I couldn’t put this one down. What a great read.
Cyber crime to the terrifying extreme!
Absolutely amazing, fast paced action. I’ve read a lot of psychological thrillers, but never one exactly like this.
more
Loved the characters so much. Excellently woven story, written beautifully. I had a hard time, however, believing the beautiful mother who had such strength and experience … would have been so unsure enough of herself to know what was going on, and to figure out who and why. That just was contradictory to the character in reference. The ending wasn’t what I would have written. But the author did an excellent job in telling an intriguing story of “what could be” in this world.
Good plot lines with plenty of action and twists. Worth the read.
What a story, with unexpected twists and turns! It is truly a page-turner, filled with surprised. I recommend it highly. The characters were well developed, and some were very likable, while others clearly were not. Good premise and a little different from the usual.
This is a very good book to read.
It is scarily imaginative, but sounds uncannily feasible. I loved it.
A great read and a frightening glimpse of what could be hell for big secret-keepers!
Psychological thriller set in England. A mom with a new baby gets hacked thru phone, emails, address book/diary, social media. It slowly drives her nuts. Her situation and how her family treats her is so real about a subject that we all think we know about and are handling in some way. Believe me, read this book. Not only is it an excellent piece of fiction, it makes you think twice about how much and what you’re doing in cyberspace. Also, how connected and vulnerable Federal, State, utilities, banks, just everything, is and what a mess the world will be in if something major goes wrong in the future. It is an excellent book. You will not be sorry you read it.
A good read. A page turner. One of those books you want to read just one more page before you put it down, than another if there is time.
Like this book. Enjoyed it.
Nice read to start but got creeped out that she had relations with the mom then like ?years? Later then with the son (ew) just a twisted read.
This is not only a psychological ride but a true testimony to how easy it is to hack someone and it goes much further than identity stealing. Made me think twice about everything I do on my phone and on line for sure.
Great book
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this book. This story is so relevant to our lifestyles today and our dependence on technology. It’s a bit scary but very well done. The surprise twist in the middle almost made me put it down but I couldn’t resist continuing to see what happened. I’m so glad I did. You don’t have to be a techno nerd to enjoy this read and it should also be a eye-opener for us to take our cyber security more seriously.
was hard to get into but slowly came to be a very good book
I really enjoyed this book, couldn’t put it down. There were enough plot twists and unexpected turns that it kept me reading.
Yikes! Great read!
Started quite slowly, immersed in Fabiola’s life. The second part with Sam, her son, all grown up picks up the pace. This then gave a better understanding as to why the writer wanted you to know who “Fab” was with her husband Rupert, the intimidating mother-in-law and her precious little baby boy. Gives alot of thought to how our electronic age can be manupulated and turn into something rather sinister.
Technology has become so advanced and those who know, understand, and use it hold such power that this book becomes too realistic.
really enjoyed this book.
it was unique and hard to guess.
