I’m so looking forward to chatting with Wendy about Best Beach Ever on my Wine Women & Writing show. It was a very enjoyable book!
This book just did not connect with me. I was looking for a light fun beach read and I was disappointed. One problem was that I had not read the previous books. I did not really like the characters and I found them to be superficial. The story was predictable and there were no surprises. I found it rather disturbing that these supposedly good friends are so caught in themselves that they failed to see the struggles others are having. They placed more importance on a house than each other. I struggled to finish the book. This series should be read in order.
Enjoyed all of this series.
Great fun reading the whole series.
Love her books
While this book was engaging and fun to read, I thought the descriptions of sex scenes were overdone and kind of rude.
During this time in the world I wanted something light that captured my interest quickly. This hit the mark.
Love the characters, how they bond and support each other.
This is part of a series and I have read the whole series – very engaging characters – you end up liking them and have to know what happens to each of the main ones.
I like that the locale is the west coast of Florida and I recognize many of the places mentioned – such as the Don Cesar. I Really enjoy all of Wendy Wax’s novels. Suggest you read them all!
Another good beach read
Good beach read – predictable story line but entertaining
It has a lot of people in it
It was just ok. Story and characters not particularly compelling
Great summer read. Story of friendship between women from all walks of life who come together on a beach to support one another through life’s challenges.
Wendy wax doesn’t disappoint
Love all of her beach stories! Been waiting for a new one!
Entertaining and a fun read
I love any book by Wendy Wax and this one didn’t disappoint
I LOVED this series and was sorry to see it end. The characters are wonderful and I loved that they are different ages. Maddie is in her 50s so those of us who are older can relate to her and going through the second part of her life. I highly recommend this entire series. I usually buy my books second-hand and look through the thrift stores and library sales to find them, but I couldn’t wait to read this series and bought the books that I didn’t have online so that I could read them all. Highly recommend! Thank you, Wendy!
I read all 6 books in this series. I hate to see it end….but maybe there is one new one in the works??? I picture myself on a Florida gulf side beach now, watching the sun go down. Can’t wait for our next get together, and Avery’ cheese doodles. And who wouldn’t want to know each and every one of them, Luvie too. 🙂
