You’ll love this fourth installment in the Apple Orchard Series because everyone loves a comforting read with a fun mystery.
This book does not contain bad language or graphic violence. But it does include the most delicious, buttery pie crust you’ve ever imagined.

He has come to get a major shop built but it would mean knock down several favourite buildings. Then he is killed and everyone wants it to be classed as a natural death. They believe it was murder but who would kill him? Will they be able to find who did it? See if they will

This series of book’s are absolutely brilliant. Once you start reading you won’t be able to put it down until you have finished it.
I really enjoy the way that Chelsea writes, the comedy throughout with the main characters is great.
I’ve never been able to solve the mystery myself, so I’m always guessing throughout the book, which again for me makes for a great cozy mystery.
If you are a cozy mystery fan then this series is definitely for you.
Fun, quick and o so entertaining! Teeny is ALWAYS good for the laughs (so when I’m feeling down especially) I read one of these books. This book had some… unexpected turns for the town and Chelsea and I’m happy for Chelsea but unsure about the town. I am going to try to read 1 more book in the series before the new year but we will have to see.
Who would have thought they would have stumbled on another body! Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny are once again in the middle of a murder investigation. This time the police don’t think it’s murder! Suspects abound and is it connected to the Massive Mart slated to be built in Pine Grove? Another wonderful cozy you won’t regret reading. I loved it!
Love Miss Mae! Cool calm and collected – this is a great series. Always keep you guessing ! I received this book as an arc from Booksprout and are voluntarily leaving this review.
Berried Alive
Chelsea Thomas
Chelsea, Teeny and Miss May work together to solve mysteries in their town. Even ones that have been ruled not mysteries.

Mystery plus romance is on the menu.
For a small town, they are a hotbed for murder. With so many of the townspeople looking particularly guilty in this story, it is not an easy case to solve. What is crazy is that the police don’t even think a murder was committed! Thank goodness Chelsea and her aunt, Miss May, are determined to expose the killer. Of course, I cannot ignore the third member of their sleuthing team, Teeny. She is one person who goes to extraordinary lengths for others to take notice.
Has Wayne, the local police detective ignored Chelsea for too long? Another suitor is on the scene and trying exceptionally hard to win Chelsea’s attention. I love a bit of romance along with a good mystery.
This story was extremely entertaining and fun to read. If you love reading a well-told story weaving mystery and romance, then this book is one you must add to your to-be-read list.
When a developer want to put in a big box store in Pine Grove the residents aren’t happy. When he turns up dead Miss May, Chelsea and Teeny are on the case. As the mystery thickens they r hard at work to unravel all the clues. I loved this book and this series. The plots are original and the characters are wonderful! If u like a quick cozy book this is for you!
I enjoyed Berried Alive. This is a fun and entertaining read. The characters are well developed and humorous. This is an interesting cozy mystery.
A very good addition to the series. I enjoy reading this series. I find them well written and very entertaining. Can’t wait for the next one in the series.

A great mystery, I love the characters. Could not put it down.
In Berried Alive, the developer whose mega store was opposed by so many townspeople suddenly dies while eating Miss May’s pie. For once she is not a suspect as the police think it is natural causes. Chelsea and Miss May believe it is foul play. This is another very well done cozy mystery in the Apple Orchard series. The usual townspeople are present. There are too many suspects and motives. Once again Ms. Thomas writes a very satisfactory conclusion to an entertaining mystery.
“Berried Alive” earns 5/5 Every Berry Pies…Deliciously Entertaining!
First, I’m a sucker for a good “play on words,” and along with the front image of a mouthwatering “bodacious berry bake,” it’s hard not to judge this book by its cover. It didn’t disappoint! With the mayor’s blessing and to the chagrin of the local businesses, developer Hank Rosenberg hopes to introduce a mega store to the Pine Grove community, so did someone decide murder was the only way to stop it? The developer dies, face planted in a plate of berry pie, and only the police think it natural causes. Add the hub-bub at the Brown Cow coffee house sparking more than passing attention for Chelsea, Aunt May, and Teeny, and with Wayne out of town, Germany Turtle’s more than admiration for Chelsea is a curious dilemma. Brilliant! Chelsea Thomas, the writing duo of Chelsea and Matt Thomas, have penned delightful cozy entertainment with a protagonist who also shares their pen name…Chelsea Thomas, and with the first-person narrative, it adds sort of an autobiographical air, a touch of realism. Although the story follows a well-established cozy formula, it has a level of complexity and misdirection that challenged my inner Sherlock. It is well written and easy-to-read with sensory-filled language, entertaining humor, and traditional characters illustrated by realistic dialogue. I personally enjoy the use of titles for each chapter, a literary technique most authors do not employ, but I like trying to determine their hidden meaning. As another reader mentioned, I, too, am on Team Wayne!
This is the fourth book in the Apple Orchard Cozy series. It is a standalone book with no cliffhanger ending. You can certainly start with this book in the series as the author does provide quick summaries of the events from prior books but then you miss all of the fun of these characters.
After a town meeting regarding a new town development, Aunt May and Chelsea realize the developer has left his briefcase behind. When they try to return it, they find him dead. However, the police chief thinks it was just an accident so no investigation. Chelsea and Aunt May disagree so they decide to investigate with Teeney tagging along. Busy as Chelsea is with the investigation, she wonders why her detective has somewhat abandoned her after their romantic dance. Well, in comes Germany Turtle hoping to catch Chelsea’s eye.
This is a fun cozy series. The characters are well developed and entertaining. The story moves along at a good pace. Plus, I enjoy the sub-stories related to the townspeople and Chelsea’s love life.

I enjoyed this book – it is even better than the first book. Love the characters and the story/plot. This story kept me interested and turning pages throughout the book. Cannot wait for the next book in the series. I am hooked.

A nice, family-friendly cozy that can be read in one very long day, set around Pine Grove, New York and featuring berries,

Another case for Aunt May, Chelsea and Teeny to solve in their hometown. No one wanted Hank Rosenberg’s Massive Mart to replace the Rosenberg building so the entire town could be considered “suspects” when Hank was found dead in the construction trailer. But the new Sheriff Flanagan called it a natural death!! Chelsea’s detective love interest is out of town as a witness on another case, so they don’t have a friendly in to the Police Department. As usually happens when the three amateur sleuths start investigating, weird things happen. Is the Mayor and Sheriff in cahoots, is the stranger to be trusted, could Master Skinner be hiding something? What about Germany Turtle, whose parents were killed in a previous tale. You don’t want to miss this “who dunit”!
Another fun mystery with Chelsea and Miss May as they try to solve their latest mystery. It had fun, wit, charm and very likeable characters that made you laugh out loud at some of their antics. so, if you want some fun in your cozy mysteries, pick up a copy and enjoy
