He loves me, and he doesn’t even know my real name.
The limelight that follows him could expose everything I’m hiding. But even knowing the risks, I can’t force myself to stay away.
I’m going to break his heart, but mine will shatter right along with it.
Will we lose it all when I reveal what’s beneath this mask?
I haven’t found one of Megan March’s books that I have been able to put down without finishing ASAP! Awesome author!
Simmmooonnnn!!!!!! What a man what a man what a mighty good man .
I enjoyed this story so much. Charlie and Simon’s chemistry .
There’s not a dull moment in this book. I laughed with the sassyness of Charlie and fell in love with how sweet and determined Simon is.
I adore this entire book series and this author!
Charlie Stone is a woman on the edge, fearful of discovery and living with layers of lies. Simon Duchesne is a golden boy, a rising political star and one gorgeous man. A mismatch if ever there was one. Simon is nothing if not persistent when it comes to Charlie and he slowly gets under her skin even though she runs from him. They can never really be despite what he makes her feel.
The Beneath series is fast paced, with great characters. The series is just as great as all the other Meghan March books. Highly recommend!
I’m kinda hooked on Meghan March. After the Dirty Billionaire series, this was the next one I read. I’ve since read a few more and don’t plan to stop. I love the way that she hooks you in slowly and keeps you invested in the story. The next thing you know, it’s hours later and you’re still reading……….
My favorite thus far from Meghan but maybe just because it was the first I read from her a few years ago when I was just getting back into reading daily. I was hooked and I actually credit this series with keeping my mind off of life at the time. You just really look forward to each subsequent in the series. Engrossing and a hot romance that you won’t be able to put down!
A woman with a past trying to live her life in private, but she’s in love with a man that has his life in public view. Does she come clean and lose him? Or will she lose him anyway?
I loved the story and mix of suspense and romance. Loved Simon and Con and Lee!
Thank you Megan for an unexpected and yet fantastic discovery… I ABSOLUTELY loved this novel. WHEW! I must confess, it was riveting , as well as touch and go… but I couldn’t seem tok put it down… I’m telling all my friends about the book and about you… #BRAVO AND THANK YOU
I love Meghan March she’s amazing!!!

“As much as any good southern boy. I like sports, huntin’, fishin, fast cars, and faster women, but I love my momma”
Meghan March is hands down one of my favorite authors..
This is the second time I am reading this series in anticipation of the new book.. I just cant freaking wait..
There is always the bad boy/ good girl stories.. well meet Simon the good guy… I want a Simon.. ” Don’t break my heart Charlie”
the not so good girl…
I was hooked from the first line of this book till the last period… I love these two characters… they have everything a good book needs…
Charlie moves away because of a terrible past that’s really not her fault but sometimes you just have to start fresh and she runs right into the arms of Simon.. It takes more that a little shove for her to open up but eventually she comes around…he is so charming.. She only has a few friends she can trust because she doesn’t want her past to find her… but karma is a butt and it catches up…
This series is so good… I cant wait for the new book.. but in the mean time on to Beneath this Ink… Con’s story who you get to meet in Beneath this mask… *sigh* Swoon..
From the book description given, I knew this was going to be a good book. Then, I was hooked from the first page! I loved Charlie, Simon, Huck, and Con! You’ll be hooked as you start to read how far one woman will go to distance herself from her father’s sins and on the way, she finds herself and a hot man 🙂
Simon sees the tattoo artist and knows he wants to see her again, but she refuses, so he leaves his number. A few encounters, and a phone message, has Simon showing up at Charlie’s place, but when she offers herself to him, he refuses saying to call him when she wants more than a quick F^^^, Charlie doesn’t know if she’s capable of more, Simon is in the public eye and that’s what she’s been avoiding.
Charlie sees Simon after he helps her with Huck but knows she can’t think of more with her past.
Simon knows that to have any future with Charlie he needs to know more about her and he needed to see someone about his nightmares, he wants more with her and knows he needs help. Charlie realises that with Simon facing his demons she needs to do the same.
After reading a news article, Simon makes it clear that if something bothers her to talk to him about it and not shut him out, he wants them to work.
Charlie knew Simon was hurt she didn’t trust him, and he wanted to ask questions but didn’t, the only solution was to crack the coded book, and she thinks she may be able to, if she can have a normal life can they a shot at a future, she didn’t think it possible with his political ambitions.
Charlie not answering simple questions was annoying him, but he didn’t push, he knew he was falling for her and didn’t want casual anymore.
Charlie thinks maybe things can work until Simon pushes her to go to an event with him, he lets her know he doesn’t understand, she won’t tell him anything, he loves her, but Charlie says she’s no good for him, Simon reminds her she wouldn’t break his heart, Charlie says she kept her promise, she said if she did her heart would shatter to and walks away. Has Charlie given up Simon before she had to without thinking things through.
3.5 for me. This took me a bit to get through, I just wasn’t really engaged enough. I think the most exciting thing that happened was the accident with her dog. I was more concerned about Huck than I was about Simon and Charlie, and I’m not even a dog person! I also think that Charlie should’ve been in track, cause that girl sure as hell ran away from her problems a lot. It was like annnnnnnddddd she’s off, look at her go….again. But, I am all kinds of intrigued about Con, so I’m going to check him out. This will be filed under “meh” and I’m going to move along with the rest in the series.
Boring. Difficult to stay awake for

I loved this book. I adored Simon and how patient he was with getting Charlie to open up about her life. Charlie had a lot of issues and didn’t know who she could trust. I would definitely recommend this book.
The strong story captured me from the beginning and didn’t let go. The writing is so good you don’t notice it. These characters – Simon and Charlie – are completely believable. They are struggling against the pressures of expectations to make a more authentic life. They are engaging and their situation gives insight into the hurtful things that happen in the lives of privileged people. They rise to the occasion in a most satisfying way. A great read.
I loved reading this book. I could not put it down as the characters gripped me. The story came as a surprise and was so realistic. After finding out that she father had secreted accounts in her and other’s names, i wondered who the others were.
I read Megan March’s books out of order. I read the I’ve read The Ruthless King and Savage Prince series and realized I missed a lot of books about Temperance’s friends! So I’m going back to catch up.
Simon fell hard and quick and I loved it. He’s chasing his own dream and not that of his father, nor the ones haunting his sleep.
Charlie can’t afford to fall and avoided it every step of the way. But falling was the freedom she needed and deserved. She is a great heroine who will not rely on anyone, even when she can or should. She was doing this her way. Her self-discovery was fierce and difficult but led her to the happiness she so deserved. She found friends. She found herself. And she found love.
I’m going to enjoy this series!
