He loves me, and he doesn’t even know my real name.
The limelight that follows him could expose everything I’m hiding. But even knowing the risks, I can’t force myself to stay away.
I’m going to break his heart, but mine will shatter right along with it.
Will we lose it all when I reveal what’s beneath this mask?
An unexpected surprise! Seemed typical at first, but the book drew me in. Really appreciated the ending – no unrealistic fairytale EVERYTHING gets fixed.
Charlotte is runs from the crimes of her father to New Orleans where she becomes Charlie and her true self. She meets Simon and hesitantly but irrevocably falls in love. But alas, you can’t truly run from your past.
I love Meghan March’s style. She gives us real, three dimensional characters without ridiculous drama. This is a lovely HEA story that has you routing for love and new beginnings. The sex scenes are HOT without obscenity (which is something I really like). I look forward to Con’s story and the rest of the series.
Interesting characters
This is an awesome series. I keep checking on this author to see if she has added any new books to the edition
Typical and boring
Really liked it. Listened to the audio version. Great readers.
I am a big fan of the entire series. It is well written, holds your interest and has a great story. The sex scenes were done well but were not the focus of the story. My only complaint was that I wanted them to be longer…..I enjoyed it immensely.
Loved loved loved it. Would read it again. I love books that I have no problem reading again and again.
This was the first book by Meghan March I read. It was so good that within two months I finished all her books and can hardly wait for the next to be out.
Beneath This Mask was a very entertaining read and thoroughly enjoyed this book. I both and listened to the audiobook. I liked the story, although I was expecting a little more, maybe on the danger side, but the romance between Charlotte and Simon was enough to keep me invested in the story. I do really like Meghan’s writing and I look forward to reading more books by her.
I have to say I really liked the characters in this book. Charlotte was a very mature character who I honestly had a hard time believing was only twenty two. I liked her relationship with Simon and despite her feelings growing stronger for him every day, she still struggled with the secrets she kept from him. Simon is just amazing. I loved him so much. He was so understanding of Charlotte and her need for secrecy. He didn’t care about her image or what people might think if they were seen together. I also really loved Con and Eva.
While I was expecting to fall absolutely in love with this book due to how much people rave about her book, I can say I enjoyed it and want to read more of this series.
This is the first Meghan March novel… and it will not be my last. I love anything set in New Orleans. I love me some damaged, sex-as-all-hell men. And I adore a woman with a dog… she has tattoos and wild hair and two jobs… and she has this amazing, sexy stud too. I loved, loved, loved this book! — Alice Bello is the author of Hate Him XOXO and Holding onto Hope
Very well written as usual. Emotional, Passionate, Awesome.
I enjoyed the characters and the story line. Great chemistry between the two and good secondary characters. I wished it were longer.
Beneath This Mask by Meghan March is an amazing read. Ms. March has provided us with a well-written book loaded with phenomenal characters. Simon and Charlie’s story is a bit of a twisted tale full of drama, humor, sizzle and suspense. This is one of those books that once you start, you can’t put down. I enjoyed every page and look forward to reading more from Meghan March in the future. Beneath This Mask is book 1 of the Beneath Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Loved the book. I read the whole series after reading this one.
It’s Meghan March, so it’s guaranteed awesome! Can’t wait to read more of her Mask books.
Best read of e books to date. Writer clear, concise. Story creative, complicated yet easy flowing. Characters gritty but humane.
