Beneath These Shadows is a STANDALONE romance set in the world of the Beneath series. You DO NOT have to read any other books in the series to enjoy it. The only permanent thing in my life is the ink I put on my clients. I drift from city to city, in and out of beds, from one tattoo shop to the next. Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up. Until New Orleans. Until her. She’s … everything I’m not. Full of fire and life. An innocent where I’m a sinner. I want to consume her. Protect her. Keep her. But first, I have to escape from beneath these shadows.

I’ve read this book multiple times and I love it each and every time. Bishop is still one of my favorite book boyfriends. There’s just no getting over him. and eden is amazingly spunky but naive.
lots of great twists and turns and lots of heat in this story.
And it was perfectly performed by Sebastian York and Andi Arndt.
“…You’re mine. I don’t have much, but what’s mine I keep. I protect. I don’t ever let it go.”
Every single book in this series is magnificent, each story is so different, yet they all are connected; this is probably one of my favorite series ever!!!
Eden has been sheltered all her life, always having guards telling her what to do, taking orders from her father, Dom Cassio; she’s been the secret of his father all her life. She never felt free; until things change and she’s forced to leave New York and leave her life as the Mafia princess. With no idea where to go, she takes the chance on New Orleans, and so, she finds herself in the middle of Mardi Grass.
Bishop is the quiet type, strong, sexy, and quiet; every woman that enters Vodoo has only one thing in mind and that’s Bishop, but no one can tame him, there is no one who can make him chance his ways… until her.
There is some kind of magnet between them and Bishop can’t understand what is it about Eden that he finds truly fascinating, but every single time they cross, she in some kind of trouble and he ends up rescuing her… but he’s no hero, never was and never will; she is too innocent too pure but he can’t stay away from her. They both have secrets and is only when everything blows that secrets are no longer kept.
Wonderful
As usual Meghan’s work is amazing. Wonderful characters, glimpses of previous characters we’ve fell in love with. And always amazing chemistry between H & h. Love her work
This was the first book of Meghan’s I’ve read… And it definitely started my obsession! I love Bishop for the start – rough, tough tattoo artist alpha male? Who wouldn’t want that?
Eden and Bishop are a true dynamic. Her sweet and vulnerable side matched against his strong and protective nature was swoon-worthy. Want give anything away, but this is the definition of a must read.
Love love love these characters!
Wow! Bishop is a sexy, tatted, man bun wearing alpha male. Finally met THE ONE, and in wanting to protect her will bring back the past. A great read with steam, chemistry with a little suspense and action. Another fabulous addition to this Beneath series!! Highly recommend this!
I listened to this on my way home from Book Bonanza, this was another author I got to meet, I’ll be sure to share that picture below as well. When I first started playing it, I was a bit confused, because the main character was in New York. Since this series always takes place in New Orleans, it was a bit confusing. And I guess we did need some outside blood, there comes a point when you can’t just keep hooking up all the characters you already know. Bishop was someone that I remembered a bit from earlier stories, and I’m pretty sure that Jason Momoa is who he is supposed to be reminiscent of. I hate man-buns, but on Jason Momoa? Eden was so sheltered from how she’d had to live as the daughter of a big Mafia boss to stay safe. Now, when she got sent away for her own safety when things were going on with her dad, I did get a bit of an off sense in how it was all done. But what turned out to be the traitor in the whole organization was definitely a twist I didn’t see coming, at least not in the way that it did. I love how Eden jumped right in to what she assumed might be her only chance to live on her own and experience things that her father would never have let her if she’d been back home. And I also am pleased with how the author had Eden technically figure out how to save herself. A wonderful sweet story. Lots of drama and edge of your seat excitement at times. And while this is definitely a standalone, I loved getting all our other characters from the earlier books pulled into the story. While I kinda want an alpha male for myself, I know that I’m not at all the type they look for.
Protective! Possessive yes, but he recognizes her need for freedom. He doesn’t know why but he sees it. He has to fight his need to protect at all costs or he’ll lose her.
Living. That’s her goal. Living in freedom. Feeling she can try new things, make mistakes and learn from them, meet new people, check things off her list. Love? That better than she could have imagined.
Everything is at risk when the past resurfaces. Is it is his past or hers? There’s no chance to run. Face of head on. And friends?! You know who your friends are when you need them most.
I really enjoyed this book.
My favorite Meghan March’s story
